I'm seeing reports that S3 gear remains upgradeable, but just in case, upgrade what you can to 5/X for higher-level appearances. There's precedent as S2 was not upgradeable anymore in S3.

Yeah no, everytime we datamine something obvious, like the sky is blue, someone is coming around and tries to argue that they sky is maybe green instead because it may be just mislabelled or unfinished and never makes it in the game if blizzard isn't posting about it themselfs.

Oh for sure, but I wouldn't put it past Blizzard to teasingly troll the dataminers.

I can see Midnight implementing another set of hero talents for each class using more "complicated" ideas like Gladiator. Perhaps a lot of the testing done in SoD (and MoP Remix soon) can be used to create the new set and maybe they'll even delve into assuming other roles. While we know that this didn't happen with this set of hero talents, they never stated that it can't happen. I DON'T think we'll see shaman tanks or mage healers in retail anytime soon, but hero talents can set the groundwork for such a thing, while SoD/Remix tests it.

I could see another set of Hero talents that are spec exclusive. So you have two cross spec and one spec- exclusive option.

I am curious as to why M0s still have a weekly lockout with the new system. Sounds kinda punishing for people if you get no loot.

apparently the flightstone reset happened sometime in the early AM, im able to get flightstones from regular activities and even some awakened whelp/drake crests before reset. oops

Wishful thinking; but I hope 2h Enh in SoD was some attempt at testing how to get 2h Enh working in Retail. 2h Enh isn't a role change like shaman tanking, rogue tanking, mage healing, etc. The only real hurdle beyond tuning would be getting Stormstrike and Lava Lash to work for a 2h weapon.

It would be another W for Blizz imo. Plus with Thrall taking a leading role again, being a shaman with a 2h axe; it would make sense to let players replicate that fantasy.

In regards to Thrall, I do recall seeing some TWW alpha impression making note of how Thrall seemed to be using a lot of warrior abilities, though there was some Blizzard person saying to not take it too seriously or somesuch. But it is food for thought.

Or you just fix the problem via transmog? Allow people to transmog their weapons similiar to artifacts, so an enhancer could use a 2h weapon (would need new animations but would be worth it imo) or f.e. fury could decide if they want 2h or 1h weapons.

Every single time they tried to fix that problem via talents it didn't work out in the end because one build will be mathematicaly better anyways.

He did that in Shadowlands too. I think it's there because he wanted a good reason for his wife to become the spiritual leader of the Frostwolves, which would feel forced if Thrall is supposedly the greatest Shaman ever. I think now it's just their mentality that the major characters are like two classes simultaneously, for example Tyrande being a Priest & Hunter. Thrall is supposed to be a Shaman and a Warrior.

I think it is something they want to do. Considering there are int two-handed weapons in Dragonflight, which are only for Holy Paladins, but they don't make sense for them because they need a shield for Shield of the Righteous. We went an entire expansion with weapons on the loot table that are designed for no one.

I still wait for the day we can dual-class too, just not sure if it's needed at this stage. If it's just that you can swap your class like your talents it would be a bit boring, and if you could mix and match talents/abilities it would be a balance nightmare and only achievable if they disabled the combat log and details lol.

I'm super casual, I don't have it in me for more gear grinding (main is at low Heroic ilvl - 3 alts on NM ilvl). Wish this Season didn't up the ilvl and let us faceroll the old raids.

I was kind of looking forward to it at first, but Remix completely overshadowed it for me. Now I'm hoping that the raids are tuned to be easy so I can get all the Heroics done in one cycle and move on to Remix when it launches.

I'm happy to be able to fill out my transmog library for the most part, as ever.

In other news, confirmed that timerunning characters are eligible for heritage armor, you just can't do the quest(s) for it until the event ends and your character is ported back to retail.
