Hard mode drops hero track gear from bosses actually.

Int swords were designed for Evoker actually.

The last season in DF and SL were both seemingly designed with the intent of just giving players some variety until the next expansion, so I don't think what you are feeling is all that surprising.

Personally I just enjoy having a bit more variety in raiding, and a chance to get the remaining DF portals I didnt get from Season 1.

Don't care about the season either.
I'll check it out to see the new Dungeon overhaul, but that's it.

I'm waiting for Remix and the Dark Heart quests.

This is definitely in the realm of possibilities. I think they wanted 2 to start with so every spec would have a choice & had them shared for the sake of simplicity. Now it just depends on what interesting gimmicks they can think of, and if one of those gimmicks only works for one spec that's fine. In fact we might see a Hero spec that appears for multiple classes in the future: For example a hero spec that appears as an option for all tanks, or maybe just plate-wearing tanks. Or a hero spec for Demons Hunters and Warlocks.

If we're supposedly getting multiple classes during The Worldsoul Saga I can see them double-up new hero specs so every spec gets another option by the end. For example:

Blood of the Legion (AoE DPS, Affliction Warlock, Demonology Warlock, both Demon Hunter specs)
Lord of the Arena (Barbarian Tank, Protection Warrior, Protection Paladin, Blood DK)
Aspectral Flame (AoE DPS, Fire Mage, Devastation Evoker, Destruction Warlock)
Ascended One (Mistweaver, Resto Druid & Resto Shaman)

Only for Holy Paladins? Regarding non-Staff Int 2h Weapons, you are forgetting Druids (Maces, Polearms), Evokers (Maces, Axes, Swords) and, well, Shamans (Maces, Axes)

It's a good feeling that there has so far been only a few weeks of lull in between expansions. Timerunning is gonna be exciting. They've pretty much stuck to their guns about no more content gaps.

I'm doing some old content at the mo - mainly Shadowlands (which is full of people right, never seen Oribos so crowded since that expansion's launch), and I've been tinfoiling a bit. Do you think Warbands was meant to be a Shadowlands feature? Just think about it, 4 Covenants, 4 members of a Warband, making everything so much easier to get/progress through. Just my 2copper.

There are so many classes that can use an two hand int weapon that arent staffs now. Also worth mention Shamans can use staffs & every 2 hand agility class can also use staffs so if u wanted to add 2h Enh just make sure there is always a 2hand agi staff

I'm sure it's something they've kicked around quite a bit until they could get the proper resources to follow through with it.

However, I do not think that the character count is an indicator; I believe they said that it is not limited to 4, that is just the current version in alpha.

I didn't realize Evokers could use 2 handed Swords, but they're the only spec who can currently use a two handed int sword optimally. Holy Paladin needs a shield for Shield of the Righteous.

It would be great if it's more than 4, that's for sure!!

Last I checked Ion was apart of the whole dev team of directors that worked on WoD and all of the classes and such. He wasn't the lead director or producer, but he was absolutely there. Again it's just a tin-foil theory from me.

Well I'm not arguing for the reason it got removed, because it's a very valid one (although I disagree with it). It did create a lot of confusion since it altered quite a lot about prot warrior.

It's not attainable from remix, you are just able to reach the prerequisite level from it like you would from regular leveling.
