I hope that we get something juicy from this alpha reveal, even if it's just the Arathi models. Hopefully a reveal of some more dragonriding options (Cloud Serpents please!)

I hope there is some cool hidden "feature" (not like a proper feature but something like the Pet Stables/Legacy Raid Loot). That's what I always love the most, cool new tiny features.
Cloud Serpents are definitely gonna be dragonriding because the S4 Mount uses the Cloud Serpent skeleton.
They could turn BRD into a new megadungeon, just throw some bullshit story about ragnaros worshippers o directly retell the original with time walking stuff. That dungeon deserves a true remake.
It is unquestionably an HD update, not going to dispute that. My point is more so that it seems to just be textures, which isn't as immediately impactful as changing models to newer ones.
Regardless, the comment was about old dungeons not looking new with just uprezzed textures. You are not really gong to go into Blood Furnace and think it looks like a modern dungeon just because the textures look better.

It sounded like we would be getting all flying mounts capable of Dragonriding eventually, so I wouldn't overthink that. Didn't we even see Invincible utilizing Dynamic flight in the trailer?

Like always, I will be holding out hope for the removal of restrictions of armour transmog.
I want to be able to farm all the great trabsmog in the game without also having to play a class I don't enjoy just to see them.

Good observations. I didn't notice how much of Azj'kahet is away from the city.
I am also interested about the scale now. Its hard to believe they would make the zones so assymetric. But looking back at the reveal it is interesting there's was so few screenshot of the Ringing Deeps compared to the other zones.

Part of the reason is that Battlegrounds are like ducks.
I wonder if arathi tech will be their own or from the tinker earthen. It'd be interesting for TWW to be basically about an alternate alliance (with no gnomes). I guess the expansion was so alliance coded they just threw the earthen as neutral AR to make the horde feel part of it all as they clearly don't know what to do with them.

TBC launch clearly had some people joining because the blip on the graph coincides with its launch. But no it wasn’t enough to stop the overall sub loss. It wasn’t until closer to the end of TBC’s release (very much 2.4.3 into WotLK pre-patch) did things even out. People liked TBC, but the parts they liked most were Black Temple and Sunwell. Unsurprisingly the part of TBC that evened out was at the tail end where those two patches existed lol. I think you haven’t come to terms yet that Shadowlands just couldn’t keep people from unsubscribing or moving over to Classic in the meantime. We don’t have to pretend that Shadowlands was a terrible expansion but the allegations at the time and poor reception of the lore and rushed expansion end didn’t help at all.
Last expac we got leaks of the pre alpha event but i think it wasn't in person so probably not this time.
But we don't want old dungeons to be totally changed or whatever, because you know, that would make it something different - an HD texture update and some model and mechanic changes like they did with TotT is 100% enough and brings back nostalgia way better than cata-style "revamped dungeons".
Also, I'm playing on 4k so I would guess the HD update would be huge for me, lol.
You can argue it was a terrible expansion. It even makes sense to say Shadowlands was the worst expansion. But saying it almost "ruined the brand" when its sub figures have the same average as Legion, doesn't make any sense. There's more validity in saying Cata or MoP ruined the brand because they were losing subs even more steadily.
And I still think more people resubbed to play 9.1 than TBC, microscopic uptick that it is: Simply because people who were into classic wouldn't have unsubbed in the first place.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.
It certainly didn’t ruin the brand, whoever said that is just being hyperbolic. But did it create distrust with players? I think so. And it’s possible 9.1 + TBC created that blip but it was smack dab on TBC’s launch window. And people definitely could have unsubscribed before TBC released. A reminder that Classic Naxx was still Naxx and while more people cleared it this time around you still needed to get carried or put through the gear grind to get up to that point. Understandable that some people took a bit of a break after Naxx released as well even if they raided it.
Warbands and the pandaria event are making me want to play mor alts (I've always been a 1 char guy), but they just revamped ret pala and it's so fun now that all other classes feel bad in comparison. Templar hero talents look fun as well.
