My hot take is that if you commit too hard to class identity, you make the class extremely boring. Priest can be an extremely broad concept especially in WoW, but on the player end it's somehow the most homogenous.

    It's a mess.
    Agree.

I really would like to combo warsong set from wod with mag'har heritage or orc heritage on my warriors or dk, but still cannot do that.. But guess what, kor'kron shaman set in panda remix will be cosmetic, it's weird that this particular thing that is a relic of the past is still unchanged.

That's why I hated the shift from spec-fantasy to class-fantasy.

A lot of specs suffered from it, Priests and Mages especially.

And why I liked when they ended class tier sets during BFA & Shadowlands, at least aesthetically: It's almost always just cowled robes for mages and priest. And because of it that era is when we got the most unique transmogs from raids.

Oof, dunno if I can agree with that.

Uldir is really underrated, and obviously Battle for Dazaralor is good, but all the other sets up until the re-introduction of tier-sets sucked really badly, except possibly the Venthyr set.

They really fucked Uldir by having the mythic set be so drastically better designed than the LFR-Heroic variants.
The other sets overshadow the mythic set as all everyone thinks about is how crappy the first 3 sets look.

The mythic cloth set is very pretty, yet neutral enough for varied use.
Yet not a single soul wants to run the raid for mogs and soloing it is incredibly frustrating or almost impossible for some bosses.

I'm looking forward to how cross-realm guilds will be implemented.

I hope it's not just "Char X can join guild Y on a different, non-connected realm" but an overhaul of the guild system, making it more like a merger with communities.

I want to be able to be in multiple guilds, with the option to choose a "main guild" to display in my character's tooltip.
Or at least let me chat in multiple guild chats, even if it's just through the BNet Client (which already has that for BNet communities)

I want an opt-in feature to auto-join all my characters into a guild (the guild also has a toggle to allow this)

I understand that some will not like this, thinking it makes guilds too casual of an association, so let me be clear, I also want guild-specific features that encourage (but not enforce) to have a "main" guild, although I'm blanking on ideas on that.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

I think being in multiple guilds is to wild of a concept.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

Honestly, the "unlock elite versions for lfr/nh/hc transmogs" stones were a huge change for that, and I'm hoping they add them for BfA/Shadowlands via timerunning or timewalking down the line too.

I play ESO and I'm in three guilds there.

Worst one for me was in Eternal Palace, where the mail set looked amazing in Mythic, and like a levelling set in other difficulties. The difference is honestly night and day, and I would have absolutely loved nothing more than to have all pieces with the same detail the mythic set had.

Looking back, I have no idea what the designers were thinking with that one. I can only assume they either forgot to make the lower difficulty pieces use the same appearance as the mythic ones.

Definitely the best way to go about it. Much better than the BfA version of seemingly making a good set for Mythic, then seemingly making it look worse for the rest.

Ok, like I said, it doesn't have to be on the same character, but I absolutely hate the "[Guild] Community" I 'have to' join on every alt to even have a tiny look into guild chatter. Discord helps, but that comes with its own problems and rattails.

I initially didn't care for the Uldir cloth armor (mythic or otherwise) but have since found them to be extremely useful for some transmog sets I've put together.

I just need them to fix the un-soloable bosses already, damn it.

That happenned both in legion and BFA in basically all raids. Good thing SL made all sets look the same and not just have two finished versions (pvp elite and mythic) and the rest be versions so downgraded they look worse than leveling gear.

And now you can even unlock the extra mythic effects on the lower versions. I love how DF males getting tier sets achievable in all their pve recolors and you don't need to raid mythic.

I think the current way raid mogs work is by far the best. You get the same design in multiple colors and you can unlock the Mythic SFX for all the colors. In the previous paradigm you'd often have some gorgeous color for the mog on normal or LFR but it would be completely simplified. Personally I think the base color (the one for which the set was designed) should always be the Normal one.

For those that keep hoping, historically the Alpha/Beta drops on a Thursday. I wouldn't expect anything tomorrow.

Look at the paladin sets from antorus, it's clear they just designed the mythic one and downgraded + put horrible colors for the others. It seemed they made the other versions intentionally unappealing and you had no way to get the mythic set. I even raided mythic in antorus and got CE and never got the helmet or the belt. It's so much better now.

Only the druid and maybe rogue sets had nice lfr-heroic versions as they were more low fantasy with nice colors.
