Like I said a couple pages back: my guess is that it will probably be Quel'thalas (one zone, added onto the EK map) + several zones in the void or on K'aresh or something. Like how TWW is Isle of Dorn leading to three underground zones.

I am very curious about Midnight's zones.

Even if they only revamp Eversong Woods, its bigger size and quality would be a terrible contrast with the closest older zones. And no, Midnight zones are not getting the Arathi treatment, they will probably be revamped or made from zero, as the quality for a zone of a new expansion is very high and nothing less than that will suffice.

In fact, by current standards Eversong Woods by itself would be miniscule as a zone.

My hope is that they revamp all the north of EK but that seems too ambitious.

I am more interested in what they will do with the rest of the world. Maybe they will finally put all pre-DF accessible through a portal or a similar system, and we just get to see in our map the Dragon Isles, Khaz Algar, Midnight zones and eventually Northrend. The rest is covered by the Void and after TLT we will explore them again expansion by expansion.

That's why I'm hoping they'll do more than just Quel'thalas.. they'll also do Lordaeron, the Plaguelands, Hinterlands, and maybe even Gilneas and Silverpine forest.

They wouldn't bury the lead like that. If the expansion was going to be Lordaeron and Quel'thalas, they would have said both or led with Lordaeron, not completely ignored the more popular place and failed to mention it at all in any of the follow-up questions.

It would be like completely failing to mention anything about Zandalar in BfA's initial announcement.

They especially wouldn't do so when they knew for months leading up to Blizzcon that people were weirdly fixated on Lordaeron 2.0.

I don't think revamping everything north of the Thandol span to be too much, honestly. We obviously have remade assets for basically every zone besides Gilneas and Silvermoon. Arathi Highlands is already revamped, and even has a new version in Plunderstorm that they could reuse.

Narratively i think it makes the most sense it just have Quel'danas as the one dedicated Elf zone, and leave the other zones as side stories.
With the zones given you even have a very strong core of three stories. Elves as the A-plot, and Amani and Scourge as B-plots.
You have the Scarlet Crusade which both fits into the Scourge B-plots, and which also got a whole lot of fitting assets from Hallowfall. Gilneas and Lordaeron if you want faction specific hubs. And Stratholme as a perfect bookend for several storylines like the Forsaken and Argent Dawn stories that have gone on forever.

Making Quel'Danas bigger is certainly possible. But you would need regional issues for B-plots anyways, so all that would accomplish is diluting the strong elven identity by adding a Furbolg colony in a mountain or whatever.

Why would they mention several areas when only one is relevant to the bigger picture storyline.
If they announced WoD as part of the Legion storyline or whatever, I doubt they would mention that there is a Vrykul element in the Broken Isles. They would just say "Broken Isles" and leave it to us to figure out that it would mean more than just Suramar and the Broken Shore.
