We know they eventually plan to remake the old world. I do think Lordaeron will get remade during midnight's patches, but by itself hd remakes of their most common assets aren't a smoking gun for anything specific.

I was wondering that. The Heritage & Campaign quests being encrypted means that might be it for 10.2.7 testing, but Holly insinuated there was more, but for all we know she was just talking about the alpha.

If they announced WoD as part of the Legion storyline or whatever, I doubt they would mention that there is a Vrykul element in the Broken Isles. They would just say "Broken Isles" and leave it to us to figure out that it would mean more than just Suramar and the Broken Shore.
Please, we're not talking about them not elaborating on some specific faction with a relatively minor subplot, we're talking about a hypothetical where they completely omitted that three quarters of the expansion is in Lordaeron, a place significantly more popular and asked for than Quel'thalas. And where they then continued to for some reason hide that Lordaeron was involved every time they talked about how they were updating Quel'thalas and Northrend.

I'm so excited and worried at the same time. Today is a good day.

Man not the whole midnight is actually a stealth lorderon revamp xpac BS again. Midnight is going to be QT at launch. Maybe theyll throw in some new void plane zone as well but there absolutely going to essentially redo QT so that its the size of a continent. They wouldn't be hiding such a massive selling point if they were actually going to be redoing lorderon.

The ONLY ground to stand on for a lorderon revamp is the whole super excited for midnights features thing. Maybe theyll be doing a larger world revamp to show the void invasion across azeroth and the hype from devs is the revamped world. Don't think thatd be smart either tho cause then the world will be stuck in a massive void invasion which will be very weird when its been defeated at the end of midnight or TLT.

Do you really think remaking an old world region is out of the question for an expansion? How many overly-designed zones did Dragonflight give us via patches? Forbidden Reach, Zalarak & Amirdrassil together are like 2 Lordaerons.

(Besides that they never put patch content in the selling point of an expansion, you know it's at least partially because even the devs are unclear where Quelthalas ends & Lordaeron begins.)

I would say this is more like how the Dragon Isles were clearly about Dragons, but also very much about Nelves by the end.

The elf storyline in Midnight wil be the big and important one, and the one which is important for the Worldsoul saga, which is why it's mentioned. It's not like they mentioned the Amani trolls for Midnight either, and I imagine most people would be surprised if they didn't show up and play an important role.
The world revamp dream will never die!

Yes I really do. You've just deluded yourself into believing Blizz would leave out mentioning anything about lorderon or the forsaken when they've mentioned anything about midnight. You've taken the most extreme reading of every bit of info possible to try and justify it ("well be expanding these spaces a bit.") Its going to be QT, and frankly I'm more excited by that than if it was going to include lorderon. Makes it actuallly possible to design an updated silvermoon and quel'danas to do justice to what they should be instead of spending effort to make Tirisfall Glades into a full endgame zone.

I do think TWS is ridiculously anti-Kalimdor and Kalimdor races besides using the sword, which is in a dead and empty zone until they reveal there's activity underneath. Thats the one thing that makes me hope there is some extra revamps in mind with Midnight. You aren't going to get a horde council implementation in Orgrimmar for years, unless you sneak it into a nice prequel chapter.

They've given us about 2 paragraphs of real information about Midnight. It's a good while away. And again, they never tell us the details of patch content: In both instances, They didn't even know we were going to Argus in Legion when that was revealed, and they didn't say "Evokers are getting a third spec" in Dragonflight, even though they knew the whole time that they were.

They also didn't say TWW's patch content will surely revamp Silithus, because of course it will, that's where the goddamn sword is, setpiece of the entire expansion.

I wonder when BlizzCon 2024 information will go out. May?

Wonder if they'll use it to share news about Midnight. Supposing Midnight releases about 18 months after TWW, that means winter 2024/2025. So BlizzCon 2025 would be too late.

Maybe they'll give a teaser this BlizzCon and then elaborate a bit in the spring or summer of 2025?

Do we have confirmation that there will be a Blizzcon in 2024?

In any case, let Midnight rest. I want TWW to receive at the very least as much content as DF. I want my two big patches with my two big zones and two raids, and what is most important, lots of X.x.5 and X.x.7 patches ¡¡ Which have been very interesting in DF and I wonder with what they will surprise us next.

Think that all Heritage armors (save for Pandaren) and most class/race combos are already done, so what we will get instead of those?

I think they will ship Panda and Dracthyr heritage together as they can have fun with the neutral theme.

Working instruments, for the Bard Class added in 12.0 of course.

I wouldnt expect Midnight info myself so soon. They probabably want the focus on TWW. They already know the cheering was louder on Midnight, it would not help to put the focus on TWW.

I suspect TWW only and only maybe some patch 0.5 lnfo, but not much else. Besides we dont know about a blizzcon 2024 if there will be one at all.

Who knows? I would like Bard or a new class that every character could be. So, something more like a Secondary Profession I guess. I was expecting an Archaeology revamp, but if the Azerothian Archives was their idea of a future revamp, they clearly missed the mark there.

But think about it, in the first (I believe) patch of DF we got The Trading Post, a huge success and a very good evergreen system IMO. Would love to get something like that. Not very important but that gets new stuff constantly.

A world revamp has to be the whole continent (if not even the whole map) otherwise it ironically makes it feel less like a world.

So let's say they remake Lordaeron: How is that gonna work? Is it a soft-border where you go from nice looking Wetlands to disgusting-old-res Loch Modan?

Is it a hard border, where you just cant exit Wetlands? At that point, it feels like AU Azeroth, like it's a different place.

If it's a soft border, they are pretty much required to keep all the borders intact, which stifles creativity a whole lot.

Brawlers guild will probably make it into a minor patch as an evergreen feature. There have been some NPC bossfights datamined for a bit, like that Fortnite-themed character.

I think they don't care. Just look at the revamped Darkshore, next to the even more disgusting-old-res Felwood.

Sure, but that was just a patch thing, because they already made a new Darkshore for the Warfronts. Stuff like that wouldn't really fly, and I would hope with a new world revamp, borders would shift a bit.

Yeah that is coming for sure. Ion mentioned it in an interview not long after DF was released, so I was sure that it was coming within DF, sadly that does not seem to be the case.

Who knows? They might surprise us yet.

The Brawler's Guild certainly has the potential to be a very good evergreen feature.
