Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

Speculated? That's what Metzen straight up said. And why they get an inch over Ethereals IMO.

Also Ethereals have an in already with Locus-Walker barring him being evil, so they don't really need a hero figure to make contact?
Locus-Walker is a Void Ethereal. Maybe not all Arcane Ethereals are comfortable with their kind diving so deeply into the force that destroyed their world?

Yeaaaa, this may finally get me to break my love for Arcane mage class fantasy. These effects are incredible.

I would take naga over ethereals because you can have 2 forms there.

Ethereal models and how they look just speak cool npc only to me, not really having a face, emotions on face or the weird idle stance that would make it horrible for most armors to work, not even mentioning the crazy clipping but who knows, i just don't see it.

Warrior in naga form just sounds cooler.

EDIT: Overall i think that we won't get new race in midnight but new class that will be available to most if not all races, i would hate if they did the same mistake again with class being only available for one race that visually is veery controversial for many.

I'm thinking a void equivalent to paladin will be introduced with a void-oriented race that highlights it, but is open to many classes. However they honestly may forgo a new race and/or class and do a huge class skin pack, or giant batch of customizations and race/class combos.

But I think at LEAST we will get a new void race, or a new void class.

Also, regardless of whether it's Ethereal or Naga, both will get a heavy model rework. Ethereal to have a more normal body that can wear armor, Naga to have more customizations for their body and maybe a highborne form. Or they will surprise us and put armor on fishbod.

I was expecting Ethereals with Midnight but looking at the new rogue set I'm no longer as sure as before tbh.

Thats really nice. Saw the first iteration with orbs being some standard magma ball and clipping horribly when you chose rondurmancy.
Sunfury and Voidweaver give me some hope that at least a few hero specs will have great new visuals.

I really hope they end up using the phoenix model to make a new HD ashes mount.

I'm inclined to believe we'll see a new class and race by the end of the worldsoul saga. Naga or Ethereal seem the most likely for race in Midnight, and I'm hedging a bet we get something techy maybe with Titan tech in The Last Titan so people will finally stop begging for an artificer class-type.

Looks pretty dope. With the passive effects present in Sunfury I wonder if other specs would get that. Like Fel-scarred DHs who have a talent that says the effects of their metamorphosis exist in a lesser state.

Permanent wings / spikes would be cool imo.

I would take huge customizations update + fixes, new animations to idle, running stances and all new race/class combos etc., over new classes or new races.

I wouldn't be opposed, but it's harder to sell that to new/hesitant players. Tauren Paladins weren't exactly on the box for Cataclysm.

Wishful thinking, but I hope we see some npc representation of the Hero specs. I don't mean every npc, but like every once in a while you'll see an npc using a set of Hero skills or something and it's like "oh, that's an exceptional Warrior who has trained in a Hero tree like we adventurers do!"

I suppose in a way it's another layer of world building like when you see npc adventurers running through the portal rooms, or see the dracthyr forming adventuring parties in SW/Org: we'd have these npcs and it's sorta clear that it's an npc representation of characters on the skill level of us players.

They are testing them in order, next zone is Hallowfall.

I honestly just hate the general direction they are taking regarding exploring new zones and such, aka giving flying from start while leveling kinda kill any connection with the zones and remove any immersion.

I always loved fighting my way up a mountain or a road full of mobs to reach a quest mini boss etc, instead of now flying directly and landing on top of it.

    Isn't that the whole premise?
Keeper of the Grove - Cenarius
    Dark Ranger - Sylvanas
    Mountain Thane - Magni
    Sunfury - Kaelthas
    Shadow-pan - Taran Zhu
Rider of the Apocalypse - The Horsemen
    Sanlayn - Deathbringer Saurfang, ironically
    Scalecommander - Scalecommander Emberthal
    etc
