Dark Irons have a lot of shadow priests, also his parents are both priests; so he looks like the dwarf version of young Anduin, another priest. Adding characterization to a functionally new alliance character to act as a parallel to Anduin's dark angsty present self seems like a no-brainer for this current storyline; not someone making a self-insert.

(Although on a side note, Anduin's angst arc is so unprecedented. Maybe if he actually did dark stuff while he was dominated I'd be narratively earned, but he didn't. He didn't even kill anybody while dominated.)

I would have loved Qiraji but they simply aren't as popular as Nerubians, so I think they just had to choose one playable Aqir race to focus on.
Bee girls are more popular than spider girls. There, I said it. Battleguards would get the weird nerds so much better than discount Lolth.

I think they may want to avoid the arabian culture stuff with Qiraji. And Nerubians are propped up by WC3 and Wrath boomers so they win, sadly.

I was thinking a Qiraji patch may happen when we still looked to be going under the Sword, but it is looking incredibly unlikely now with the pivot to Elun'ahir wackiness (and 11.1 being, supposedly, Undermine) that will have to be addressed in a patch, likely the last one.

Are the War Within Alpha videos voiced by Roger Craigh Smith (Sonic) or am I going crazy

Yeah I still think that if they wanted to go that hard on Anduin's arc, they should have made him do something darker. Like, kill Bolvar.

Seems so silly to me that they just seeded Elun'ahir as a concept and they might be using it immediately. Keep some things for later. Plot hooks are not meant to be used so fast. That said, I've seen the TWW world map and there is a very obvious large zone between Hallowfall and the spider place.

I think it was pretty neutral until Blizzard "leaked" sub numbers and narrative that no one play wow anymore is dead outside diehard doomsayers.

Obviously they teased Plunderstorm too much, but I think revealing it without PTR would be even worse. By the time it come it would be mocked by everyone as WoW's Fortnite. So correct choice is to simply release PTR for every gameplay feature, especially experimental ones.

I freaking love the jungles of Zuldazar. Off-topic, but the idea of a jungle like that, the size of a modern zone like the ones in DF and TWW...

One can always hope there's a big rain forest of sorts where the Amani live, come Midnight. But it's pretty far north, unless Blizzard invents a new island or something to the southeast.

Yeah... and the Harronir and the roots are AK (spider place).

So it's probably 11.1 Undermine and 11.2 Elun'ahir. But I do wonder if it's something less obvious because Elun'ahir zone sounds a LOT like Emerald Dream.

Eh, one of the zones will obviously be the core of the planet. And I am not sure Undermine will be a zone. I think the datamining was about assets named goblinraid right? so it could be just an instanced area.

Pretty curious to look at those
Haven't found a site that lets us pan and zoom the map ourself but Nobbel's first alpha vid has the map including zooming in to each zone's map.

And watch it be a hollow earth jungle that is reused for Sholozar, lol.

I think Undermine will be a full zone, A) because it deserves it and B) it has a raid item and regular zone item datamined.

Elun'ahir could be the megadungeon though, we still don't have an idea of what the Megadungeon will be.

Even I keep thinking "Well he did kill that one random pixie that was masquerading as the winter queen.....no wait Sylvanas did that."

I'm sure they're going to create entirely new scenarios as a flashback in TWW showing him murdering puppies or something.

They released a youtube short and the music is so good - is this new or a previously used piece?

    Maybe it's like...

11.0 - Earthen and Nerubar Palace raid
11.0.7- Dracthyr classes and cool filler stuff
11.1- Undermine zone and Siege of Undermine Raid (Venture Co and Gallywix)
11.1.5- Roots of Elun'ahir megadungeon and Harronir AR
11.2- ??????????? something closer to Azeroth
    11.2.5- ????? AR

    Honestly, I'd welcome it.
Don't get me wrong, the domination giving him PTSD absolutely makes sense. He was still a slave inside his own mind which sounds terrifying (I'm still unclear if ALL Forsaken went through that or only the more intelligent types like the Banshees and DKs). But at the end of the day, he harmed an immortal creature that got better and then harmed some completely alien machines.

We really have no idea where the story might be going with TWW. I really don't know how we are going to end up in Undermine when the story seems so . . . cosmic. Maybe we'll need a massive amount of Azerite and Gallywix has it?

I think there's some wiggle room with Gallywix's connection to the Brokers, which may lead him to the Ethereals (I'm SURE they know each other) and subsequently the Void. There is a secret Goblin/Inscription only letter on the Cinderbrew venture co final boss's desk which hasn't been read yet on Alpha and I'm sure it will have some more info on this.

It may also be like Aberrus/DOTI where the raid isn't really that relevant to the plot, but the megadungeon is.

You are out the loop. Stereotypes are not hard parameters, they are simply trends.
