bet that goblin stuff is either for a new limited time event or a mega dungeon

Seeing how the icon name of an item is "inv_offhand_1h_goblinraid_d_01", nope.
Venture Co is gonna play a role in some capacity as well throughout the expansion.
This is just a continuation of "blackdragonoutdoor" and "emeralddreamoutdoor". Icon names are the gift that keep on giving.
I have a strong feeling Arathi will be heavy handed in 11.0, take a backstage role in 11.1/11.2, become very relevant again in the epilogue and prepatch to take a larger part in 12.0/Midnight.
I wouldn't be surprised to see some form of "Scarlet Crusade delegation" NPCs in Hallowfall later in the expansion, with their more zealous half merging with Scarlets for Midnight.

Venture Co being the main baddies for Meadery dungeon is a great call. Consistent recognizable enemy factions are a benefit to the worldbuilding of the game.
But I also think that their presence there is far larger than just some advantageous takeover, or however it's being presented.
Gallywix is going to mix some form of Azerite/Brokers/Void/Ethereal for 11.1 and Undermine. Endless possibilities of how we get there, but that feels like it'll happen. Should be a ton of fun.
Shoutout to our dear friend who we shunned for his predictions, only for him to be shooting lights out with all of them. Nerubians, Undermine, and probably a new class called correctly within the Saga.
I was hoping that this was coming for 10.2.6 before Plunderstorm was announced, so I completely agree!
But I don't see them revamping Old World zones individually just yet, especially with how we now see their scope both in scale and revamp undertaking.
Azj-kahet, Hallowfall and the Ringing Deeps all seem to be the size of the Dragon Isles without even counting Isle of Dorn. These zones are huge (far from a complaint), so I imagine if they ever intend to mirror Gadgetzan with its Hearthstone equivalent, Tanaris will need to be expanded quite a bit.
I didn't say anything about them making expansions shorter, I just said that because they have a second team thanks to them acquiring Proletariat, it could speed up the work flow than when it was just the one team out in Irvine. They've said this in an older interview that Team 2 (the Irvine team) focuses on the upcoming expansion, ie The War Within, while the Proletariat team out in Boston is working on Midnight to get it ready for the next big announcement.
This is how they can plan an expansion ahead of time. Even I don't want them to make shorter expansions. If anything, they might shorten the alpha or beta phase to get it closer to launch, but even that has it's own fair share of problems where bugs will go through undetected until someone at launch points it out.
I've always had a feeling that Gallywix would take over the Venture Co and use them to harvest more Azerite. One of my more older posts for a revamp idea is him trying to get the Venture Co to terraform the planet for Azerite (yeah that was silly), but in the case of it being a raid or megadungeon, it would make a lot of sense.
Plus, it'd be a good to see what they've been doing this whole time considering they kinda blue-balled us in Dragonflight (Literally a goblin inspector for Venture Co saw the beauty behind the Dragon Isles was like "Y'know what... not this time." and that's why we didn't get the Venture Co. in DF. Despite them appearing in almost every other expansion except in Shadowlands.)
That entire situation I think paints exactly what was wrong with Dragonflight's vibe/story. It was so heavy handed in the themes it wanted to portray that it voided the ability for it to feel earned. In most cases the Venture Co has pretty much been a punching bag for adventurers. They never pose a real threat, they're semi-comical, you just smack em and move on. It's the perfect baddie to use for even a small portion of the questing.
That said, I liked the usage of the Sundered Flame in Dragonflight, which felt like almost a more story connected Venture Co, but I do wish that it wasn't just shrugged off for a simple elbow nudge. It would've made Dragonflight feel a bit more at home if we could knock around some unnamed stooges.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.
I really think it was a purposeful design intention of Dragonflight to use as few old factions, groups and antagonists as possible, maybe in the idea that Dragonflight serves as the new tutorial expansion for brand new players moving forward. Hence -all- the main villains being new, their factions (including the Djaradin) being new, the dracthyr and their lore being new. The only time they bent the rule is for the Night Elf storyline and the Infinite which I think they just knew they couldn't ignore without people getting mad.
It definitely made the lore and worldbuilding suffer for anyone who isn't completely new to WoW, it wasn't that bad, but the lack of the factions, the Earthen Ring, Magatha (who was planned, even) definitely hurt the expansion.

The other item is just tagged as "goblin" which could be heritage plus or, if there's a raid, likely the zone that comes with the raid. Nothing about it being from a dungeon.
All the Nerubar weapons are tagged nerubianraid. Pretty straight forward that, at one time, that goblin offhand was planned to come from a goblin raid, not a goblin raid boss.
Yeah, just like kultirasquest and emeralddreamoutdoor were just flukes.
Icon names have had the same structure for at least since Legion, if not WoD or longer.
xraid xoutdoor xquest. An item dropped by Xymox in Sepulcher is not "brokerraid", it's "progenitorraid". Xymox items from Nathria are "revendrethraid". An item from Nymue is "dreamraid". Even something distinct like Antumbra is "progenitorraid", not "cosmicraid" or whatever.
Acting like there is not going to be a Goblin raid when we literally have an item tagged as "goblinraid" is extreme cope.

im hoping that the 2x bullion from the dungeon weekly event is still a thing. it existed on the PTR, but not sure if it still does. The next dungeon weekly event is in 3 weeks i think, so that will definitely help supplement bullion gearing
This. Every time we get something like this datamined some tinfoilhat theorists come around trying to find and answer to a question that's already answered. Blizzard isn't naming things in the files differently just to threw off people who see something datamined, if they really want something to be hidden they just encrypt it these days. It's the same people denying expansions leaks like the Alextrasza artwork .... usually the obvious answer is the right one, lol.
Oh hey, I was wrong about the unrelated HD assets. We got the HD Orc boat which was missing from DF!

I think that covers all the race boats. Unless there's a Draenei one I can't remember?
Also the Goblin zeppelins.
