Good morning
Patch day yay !
I've only just now realised MoP Remix starts on Friday at 2am my time and now I'm disappointed. I had assumed it goes live on Wednesday with the weekly reset![]()
In the orc questline, far more NPCs have gossip text at the final celebration. It is a bit more limited with the Draenei. But otherwise yeah, it is similar. What the Draenei do get over the orcs is a promise of something far more specific; a new city instead of a revival of the tribes.
Finished both Draenei and Troll heritage quests, absolutely loved the Draenei one! The troll one was OK too, it was nice seeing the Darkspear reconnect with their loas of old!

The final celebration might not have as much going on, but I think the Draenei easily got the best questline as a whole. I don't remember any of the other ones I've done- even the Orcs- doing such a great job dealing with all aspects of their culture, and some good story progression on top of that. Draenei got a good amount of quests dealing with Artificers and bonus dialogue explaining a bit about how their tech works. They saw the Auchenai rebuilt in the main universe, and had a segment dealing with their beliefs (and iirc even their Vigilants were back, they had never appeared in the main universe until now). They got a continuation of the Penitent and Krokuul's story, all while tying up loose ends from their starting zone story all the way back in Burning Crusade, complete with a nostalgic final fight. And, of course, there's the teaser for the future city. The only thing I felt was missing was some Rangari presence, but even they got acknowledged and the main universe's Exarch Naielle appeared for the first time, even if it was just a cameo.
Durotar regrowing, Draenei building their new capital, Nelves wanting to resettle Teldrassil.
Sounds to me like they are setting up a Kalimdor revamp.

It's a little weird that trolls didnt get like vol'jin or some other glaives as additional cosmetics for completing their heritage questline.
Like sword? really? I was awesome again to see Rok'han rocking 2 glaives, but here you have random loa sword as player.

It's entirely possible that the Song is what a strong enough World Soul is capable of doing when it senses immense danger, not just the threat of the Void. K'aresh could have had a world soul without the Pantheon knowing; Argus was discovered by Sargeras, for example.
But I guess we should hopefully get a clearer picture in the pre-patch events. The Radiant Memories stuff should have a few context clues.

Part of the reason is that Battlegrounds are like ducks.
Too bad Remix is not up yet, Dark Heart quests + heritage take only 1-2 hour
Can't wait next Thrusday (and tonight for the alpha build)
There used to be a forest in Thunder Ridge once.
In the orc quests you help out Owa'nohe, the local thunder lizard loa, plant some ancient seeds to restore the place.
Nope, see above.

And now, after reading all the Hallowfall quests, my hatred has almost disappeared. I like the idea of the Emperor, I hope he doesn't turn out to be an old idiot and another Mary Sue daughter is running the show. This is very similar to Warhammer, I feel Metzen's hand.
Anduin and Lothar are just friends - after reading the entire text, I realized that there was nothing between them. And I'm very happy.
Pichduin himself disappointed me; in quests he looks pathetic and lets Lothar and Alleria down. For Alleria, Anduin is a burden.

If you look at the main Heroes, only Alleria develops. She has a goal and a rival, she goes through history and is transformed. Anduin still has no development, he is still stuck in an emotional dome created artificially and for no reason. Unless he gets a 2.5D animation of his horrifying actions during Domination, he's officially dead as a character. Emotions without reason.
I will say this: overall the storytelling feels like a professional hand. But characters are still written by amateurs.
I still think that Telogrus is actually some part of K’aresh leftover from when it was destroyed.
With the new addition of the radiant song on K’aresh it would make sense given the previously known (yet vague) lore on Telogrus.
Though I am curious what they’d do with it if that’s the case.

I have a feeling they’ll make the story something like Faerin was supposed to inherit the throne, but the current Arathi emperor took it somehow.
They’ll probably tie it into the “golden one claims a vacant throne the crown of darkness will bring only darkness” prophecy, since a lot of those old quotes are coming back into play in TWW.
Like the “lord of ravens will turn the key” is becoming more relevant now too with Khadgar allowing Alleria to open a void rift in Dalaran, and then Dalaran being destroyed by the void next expansion.
Damn, my good mood has ruined, this looks like something that could happen. I mean, is it really that hard to just give at least one cool male character who isn't a burden, a jerk, or a crybaby? Illidan was the last cool dude, we can say that the Legion expansion was officially the end of World of Warcraft and the rest is not canon
