They also arrived relatively recently. The Earthen that went to what became Khaz Algar went a considerably longer time ago.
I think the "15 years" is a clear reference to the Cataclysm, presumably that woke up Beledar or in some other way caused the Emperor's Vision that led to the expedition.

I think it could be on Azeroth for a very long time. Possibly just as long as the Old Gods.

    Could be.

Looking at the various timeline stuff, assuming TWW takes place a year after Dragonflight, that'd be roughly year 41. 15 years previously would be year 26, which is the year of TBC. Year 25 is, interestingly, the year the Exodar crashes. It is a considerable distance from Azuremyst but...maybe something related to the Exodar? If it was indeed 15 years ago, anyway, though the year is off slightly in that case and like I said, considerable distance. But a fun idea I came up with just now.

As I said in the past, I think that the vision of the Emperor is linked to the end of TBC.

If TWW begins in year 42, then 15 years ago would have been year 27, which is the end of TBC/beginning of Wrath.

The Sunwell is a major nexus of ley-lines on Azeroth, the moment when the Sunwell was purified by Light, by a Naaru, that is a big deal. Furthermore, the next expansion is centred around the Sunwell.

I won't be surprised if the Emperor is tied to the Sunwell storyline. That his visions have something to do with the Sunwell (major source of ley-lines) being purified by Light.

Any signs of TERRIFYING NERUBIANS OF AZJ'KAHET build coming today?

I think the Beledar was probably there as far back as when the planet was created. It's possible that the Naaru located the fledging world soul and a vessel was close by observing its state as it was forming its planetary shell, choosing to be engulfed so that it could observe from a secure place.
As for what caused the Emperor to send people to look for the Beledar, how about Xe'ra? Xe'ra contacted Illidan 15 years ago during TBC. What if while she was observing Illidan she also cast her eyes on Azeroth and located the Beledar as well as the Arathi Empire? Xe'ra's endgame was never the Legion after all; it was always the Void.

The orcs get a promise of some of the forgotten characters being relevant again, as well as a revamp of Durotar. I'd say that's a pretty huge plus.

I dunno, we know the vision they had was of the star falling to Azeroth.
So i don't think it goes that far back.

As for the why, i personally think the Naaru/Light creature inside it foresaw its own fall to the Void, so it contacted the only group on Azeroth capable of saving it.

While I get why they are using Anduin in the story, Velen would have been so much more useful here.

A large part of me thinks they're trying to get Anduin closer to that old Legion comic, but then what the hell was Shadowlands about? I'm excited to see what happens with Anduin just because I'm so confused with where he's at now.

Velen I feel will get Legion levels usage in Midnight and possibly TLT, depending how that goes. I expect the draenei to have involvement in the back half of the Saga the same way that the night elves have had involvement in BFA > DF.

This would be so much better than trying to create a logical reason for why he's been gone for so long, especially given what happens to Dalaran at the start of TWW.

I've thought a bit more about the Radiant Song =? Azeroth thing.

I glossed over the fact that not everyone has heard the Song. This, coupled with (speculation based on Retail knowledge and some Alpha info) Magni seemingly losing his 'luster', leads me to think there's a higher chance it's Azeroth than I previously thought; our last 'interaction' with her iirc was in the Zovaal fight where he was actively attacking her. I think its likely that she withdrew after that to recuperate before continuing to wake up, and her withdrawal may have affected Magni's overall blessings.

He went from directly being able to Speak with her because she was concious and active, to waiting for a reply from someone who is probably taking a nap. And he seems to have lost her blessing as a result of said nap.

Will we get the endgame main story quests in the alpha today as well?

The build is found. About five hours left.

How would we feel if in Midnight, High Elves become a neutral race, and all Blood Elves are kept the same (as they are High Elves that picked Horde already). They would just get a big customization update that allows for more Queldorei stuff, and probably a new starting zone if they pick Alliance.

What a terrible waste of a race.

High Elves literally already exist in everything but name in the way of Void Elves. You can't have the same thing reskinned 3 times.

It really wouldn't be replacing anything when they already have all the assets for them plus some additional little things (like a new paladin mount, which would probably be reskinned for Belf Paladins as well). It would be a huge win using... what, minute development time?

I don't know if it would do some weird stuff to old code.

It wouldn't replace anything but it would still look terrible to have yet another reskinned Blood Elf on the Alliance side.

Alpha just went down, build waiting time.
