Probably related to tww story. There is also a less glowy magni model that indicates that something is happening with him. And in my opinion it would be more likely for magni to have some heavy armor if it was a flashback.

I don't think they would make a whole custom model with new beard assets just for a flashback, unless they are adding those new beards and hair textures to playable dwarves.

TL;DR The Earthen High Speaker turned to the void and became Skardyn and then corrupted the Awakening Chamber in the ringing deeps, where where new Earthen are made and waiting to be awakened - in an attempt to make it so any current and any future Earthen all become Skardyn

Magni sacrifices his titan power to cleanse the corruption from the chamber



After the scenario, when you zone back in, Magni si now standing there in his (Obviously placeholder) WOTLK model

I guess not. If they follow fantasy tropes he will say something like "after what i have seen it became clear that kingdoms mean nothing".
And if they don't do that i think he is fine with dagran becoming king sometime soon(ish). It's his heir after all.

That plot point has already been cleared up since Magni awoke pre-legion. He already said multiple times he has no interest in taking back his throne, made up with his daughter and reconciled and is pretty on board with Dagran being the future king

Damn, why can't we have this quality of beard forr dwarves.. Also over the board long beards.

Even new earthen beards look low res compared to this, magni hair/beard textures are smooth as fuck.

This is partially intentional, as the Earthen ones are metal wires/carved stone not actual hair.

Oh ye i know their beads are stylized but still, hard to explain it in english to me, but just the beard textures and smoothes on new magni model just makes them much more "wow cartoony" style like, i guess.

Doesn't seem like we will get many new customizations in TWW as of now sadly, so i hope they will have another go at the models in midnight, i think it's been another 10 years since last update.

Its Wrathion/Ebonhorn all over again. And I like that. Dagran II should be one of the main characters and go adventuring, Magni should rule.
Old guard retirement, as Malf/Tyrande, as Genn, as Turalion, as Thrall, I beleive.

Not really. We already have new characters that are the right age for them to start taking the spotlight. It's like WC3 all over again.

That's just Stiven goofing around on twitter and putting Magni's collection geoset meshes on his new model for fun. Pretty sure the new model will have normal armour with no diamond left (You can see the foot cliping out of the boot where Stiven overlaped them)

Also the beard, I feel like the beard is the more obvious clipping issue that would be a kind of more "logistical" issue to ever get this set working with his beard (I don't claim to know how it even worked for crystal Magni). I assume he might wear one of the new (civilian?) Earthen sets for the time being.

That's a surprising turn of events, I thought they were just using magni in the story for the speaker powers and have an excuse for Moira and Dagran being in Dalaran at the start of the xpac. Then in the obvious scene where he would sacrifice himself, he's cured after being stoney since cata, and with a custom model as well! What are they planning to do with him after this??
