Given Anduin's cycle of imprisonment, it would be a missed opportunity to not put him in one of those Titan prisons in TFT
Yeah honestly thinking about it logically, without any exposure to the lore why would they introduce and entire unprecedented civilisation with a fanatical light whorsipping emperor in an entirely new unexplored, connected to the very beginning of a saga that is centered around the light vs void just to have us either do nothing with Avaloren or destroy one of blizzs oldest heroes just to repeat the same kind of storyline.
It is a red herring honestly. I could see Turalyon being crowned king, make contact with the empire in desperation and now we have a new enemy. He is forced to abdicate since he fucked up but it is not vilified. Alleria arc about being sad of not reuniting with her family finally ends with her reuniting with her family and we are all happy to slay the avaloren and Anduin gets to be king once again

Yeah seems like this is exclusively for Anduin to come back looking like a cool king when Turalyon inevitably does something that invocates his honour and renounces the throne since Anduin is the new honorable king (otherwise being objective about it he wouldn’t)
Metzen mains a Male Human Paladin and loves Turalyon, the quintessential Male Human Paladin.
There's pretty much no chance that Turalyon does something evil, villainous, scummy, or dishonorable. Like, actual 0% chance.
It's far more likely that Turalyon will die in battle against the Void, sacrificing himself for someone.
Oh yeah I forgot that Orwenya (Harronir leader) is a Vassal of Life with green eyes. So I think she may be a secret villain in cahoots with Xal and may be the instigator for the Rootlands patch.
Wasn’t also his prophetic death heroic as well? Yeah makes sense.
Honestly I don’t see any of the heroes of stormwind with statues living past the saga. Khagdar seems to be going down. If Turalyon dies I can see Alleria going crazy and who is left of those? Again.
A symbolic way of closing that door for new blood
This is pretty much what I'm hoping for. Paraphrasing from some old post-Blizzcon posts I made:
Isle of Quel'danas: Serves as an introductory zone in the style of Tanaan Jungle, the Broken Shore, the Waking Shore, etc. An initial race to reach the Sunwell before Xal'atath fails, with her forces reactivating and corrupting Ban'dinoriel to cloak the kingdom in a shield of void energy, driving the factions all the way back to the borders of Quel'thalas. Players later return in to it as an endgame zone in a patch.
Eastwald: The Plaguelands restored and returned to their original glory, where a reconstructed Stratholme acts as a staging ground for the Horde and Alliance forces and the Army of Light assembles at Light's Hope Chapel preparing to breach Ban'dinoriel.
Eversong Forest: The region comprising the Ghostlands, Eversong Woods, and the expansion capital city, Silvermoon.
Zul'Aman: The long forgotten domain of the Amani Empire. The arrival of the Zandalari sees the gates to the Maisara Hills opened to the outside world for the first time since the Troll Wars. This might also be a good zone to revisit the Arathi and set up a darker side of their zealotry.
Darkspine Reef: A recently assembled staging ground for Azshara's forces off the western coast.
Ruins of Azj'aqir: An underground remnant of the Black Empire sealed away by the Amani Empire after the Aqir and Troll Wars 16000 years ago.
Splinters of K'aresh: The remnants of the ethereal homeworld and Dimensius's foothold in reality.

I think this seems more likely then stay on quel'thalas the full expansion. So yes I think so.

You truly believe that cus of metzen likes paladins?
It will be honestly interesting how the naga play into Midnight, if at all.
While Metzen might love Paladins, don't forget his favourite character is Malfurion. And look how he has been treated since WC3.
Well in 2009 he said his fave was Malfurion and he loves to write him.

Metzen: I would just say too, I mean Malfurion’s always been, personally, my favorite Warcraft hero. He’s my favorite to write, so I’ve waited a long time to get this guy back into the mix, and have him play a significant role in the shaping of Azeroth. He’s a mega player, and he’s been off the scene.
