It’s a pity that no one streams the alpha anymore; before, when the alpha came out, there was such hype about Asmongold, Sodapoppin, I understand that they are too old school and are not suitable for a woke narrative. it's kind of sad. We urgently need juicy characters like Othmar Garithos, Kael'thas Sunstrider , Garrosh Hellscream, Vindicator Maraad and Varian Wrynn.

Only cruel and brave characters can attract! Please don't let the saga rot and be overshadowed by a classic.

Idk about Sodapoppin (does he even play WoW anymore?) but Asmon just chases controversies nowdays, because that's what gives him views. One day he might say what he sees about WoW is good, the next 10 days it's gonna be about "bad" things. Just makes his opinion on the subject not mean much.

Pretty much. Although he's pretty candid about his feelings on WoW within the streams. Basically: hated DF story, but thought the gameplay additions and changes were great. Gave up on being a collector, enjoying finding other games at the moment. Seems relatively hopeful for Saga, but not expecting much from TWW. I think a lot of his problems come from the culture around raiding right now. Thinks that the game is just too hard for casuals and not fun, hates addons, etc. Definitely plays it up for the react content bc you're right, that's his bread and butter.

Anyone else wondering if they will pick up the "Nerubians got the influence for their architecture from the Shadowlands/Maldraxxus" quote and expand on it or if they will ignore that in TWW?

They changed the Four Horsemen mounts for Rider of the Apocalypse. They initially used the HD "Forsaken Epic Mount" model (EG: The Legion Midnight model) in 4 different colours. Now they use the Maw Charger models in what appears to be 3 colours, but could be 4 because 2 looks really similar.

Not really happy about the change TBH. I think the Midnight models looked far better and suited them, as opposed to the Maw Chargers which don't really feel like they have a connection to.

It was said it would be a trilogy to save the world soul. Doesn't mean everything has to be from the world soul. Midnight deals with a confrontation between void and light, the last titan deals with titans. Not a single time did the devs state that the radiant song is from the world soul itself. neither did locus walker say anything about world souls either. they were careful to state it is a mysterious song.

I think it was the Lich King drew inspiration from the Nerubians as a form to honor their ferocity in battle (or along those lines), which was then retconned to the Lich King drawing inspiration from Maldraxxus, which does not make any sense at all. Nerubians drawing inspiration from Maldraxxus makes even less sense. Not all Nerubians are connected death.

Especially in the context of Azj-Kahet, a kingdom completely broken off from Azjol-Nerub, presumably long before The War of the Spider. They'd have no connection with the Lich King, death, or the Shadowlands in general, but they have the same architecture. Just a massively weird statement that the devs made on that one.

I hope it's corrected in TWW.

Absolutely - it's not going to be about the sky fairy windchimes though. It's quite obvious from the cinematic, and even visually, that it's the core of the planet calling out.

I think that statement was made incorrectly, and may be tied to old lore which fucked it up. It makes sense for the Cult of the Damned/Scourge to be inspired by Maldraxxus, especially as Kel'Thuzad was either familiar with the realm prior or already was studying there.

However, I believe the twist up came as apparently the lore was that COTD stuff was inspired by Nerubians? I kind of see the resemblance but I don't think it's THAT similar. But if thats the case, then the Devs probably had to make that statement that Maldraxxus inspired Nerubians.

AK being the same design, but not tied to Yogg or Nortgrend, points to this being retconned. I think they look more like the black empire anyway. I think and hope that's what they are rolling with.

Blizzard said as much, Magni flat out tells us so, the trailer cinematic shows her reaching out and the pre-patch event literally has Azeroths memories manifest across the planet for us to re-experience.

We do this dance everytime something ever so slightly vague pops up in the narrative, and every single time it's never the wild ass speculation that ends up being true, but the single most obvious answer.

i think just... isn't it funny, how that light crystal in hallowfall begun to turn to the void at the day azeroth was stabbed? The crystal seems to be quite far away from silithus, so why would the stab affect the crystal? Something that hurt azeroth, makes something that is light, turn void.

This is something I was curious about as well.
Might have something to do with the void explosions that happen around Magni’s encampment when shamans try to heal the earth or what not.

A part of me wonders if they did it primarily because the mounts used by the Horsemen were unavailable (besides the red one) and that they figure players don't want reminders of mounts they can't have.

Not sure what definition of funny you're going for there. Just spell your crazy theories out - if not here where else?

If you're saying the radiant song is not from Azeroth but from the crystal (against a lot of pretty unambiguous contrary evidence) - why now and not after the stab, when it started turning?

I think the more important question about Beledar is what makes it turn back to light? Because we know Naaru turn to void at the end of their life cycle, which can be accelerated by depleting it's energy through damage, so the whole turning to void is really not that big of a mystery. The turning back to light though isn't something that should happen as easily (we haven't met a solid crystal Naaru yet either though)

i would have too look that up, as i don't remember that. Only that void stuff happend after N'zoth was freed.
