So we have garrosh heirlooms available again, but still no recolors of CM sets or recolor of kor'kron wolf.
Weird that they are still sticking with that, kor'kron wolf itself still has 7899 tenders/bronze(like other datamined rewards) currency attached to it, so they at least considered it before.
No Kor'kron wolf is definitely a weird hill to plant the flag of exclusivity on. Even more so when there are so many other things available in Timerunning that are just as exclusive.
I suppose it might be a way to test the waters on how much the playerbase is willing to concede in that regard. I can't imagine we won't be seeing Timerunning again eventually, and eventually making the AotC mounts available might be a nice carrot in future iterations.

One of the prerequisites for a true evergreen housing system would be the houses being placed in a location as expansion agnostic as possible. And the expansion taking place in Quel'thalas is definitely a good option to focus to make housing at least in Gilneas for Alliance if nothing else.
The world revamp dream will never die!
The first potential housing item being a Goblin item feels pretty on the nose as there is no better race to be in charge of housing.
I have to wonder if the Wolf, at least, might have been left out because Blizzard completely misunderstood why the datamined Tender price for it was so poorly received. As someone who doesn't have it, just buying it would feel cheap and meaningless, but I'd love another chance to earn it from the actual content. This is the best chance there could possibly be to implement that, even if the Remix raids will probably be easier than the original scaling. I can't help but think that they saw the outcry and decided that people just wouldn't accept any way to get it again.
I think this is a natural extension of mount customization. Any collectible can become a collection in itself by allowing it to be customizable.
I think so too that they misunderstood the situation, when people thought it will be buyable in the trading post.
Adding kor'kron wolf for bones of mannoroth and bronze currency just like tusks of mannoroth should be the way to do it and i don't know why they didn't even did it for at least a recolor.
It would take even longer time and more SoO to complete than it was in the past to get that in time.
I sort of doubt dyable armor is going to happen anytime soon, especially with how much they've liked doing recolors for various difficulties/activities the past few expansions, and especially especially since they like doing different color variations on the trading post.
Honestly, If anything, I think the way this is most likely to show up is in the form of more dynamically spawned in objects. It basically allows for what happens with NPCs currently (e.g. "Primalist Mob" spawns and sometimes it's a male vulpera and sometimes it's a night elf and sometimes its a tauren), but with objects. Because now you have a chair on which color could hypothetically be randomized or selected by some secondary variable.
So for example, you could go into a dungeon, or delve or whatever, and the instance, like Waycrest varies layout, picks a palette, and that tells all the objects to 'dye' to some color and changes the entire look of the instance.
Or stuff like when you use a chair toy, or an event spawns some chest, it can put out a chair/chest that picks from a bunch of random colors, and now they don't have to keep each of those variations as anything more than a small square on the single texture file.
