So there are 3 solid places for patches:

- rootlands
- Undermine or goblin content
- Azeroth core/world soul

Imo either Forbidden Reach + 2 big zones situation or rootland/goblin will be just megadungeon.

I can see Silithus being saved for the very end of the trilogy or it's the last patch. If they want Rootlands and Undermine to be zones they won't have space for Silithus.

I think it's pretty clear that they are still catching up on the decade plus of Warcraft where the only important women were Sylvanas, Tyrande and Jaina. Three whole characters. Since BFA they have taken lengths to introduce more women in positions of power to make up for that giant gap.

However if they keep doing this thing where almost every important campaign character is a woman, I think there will eventually be some understandable pushback. We're already seeing it now.

Personally I could care less about the ratio of genders. I find it more problematic that every male character is Anduin or Anduin-like. Which is tired and old already.

That is a direct response to the fan tantrums from BFA/sanitizing for modern crybaby western audiences to keep Warcraft from being problematic. Not much we can do about that.

Xal'atath, the villain of the new expansion. She was introduced in Legion as the background fluff for the talking Shadow Priest artifact dagger which would occasionally whisper fluff to the player character. Then in a BFA patch quest her soul escaped the dagger into an elf body and she vanished through a portal. Then the big bad of Dragonflight quit halfway through the expansion to go work with her.

Even the girl in Pokemon was a big issue so it's not just western. Westerners just really don't like black chicks in games.
