But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.
While they were called Junker Gnomes and lived below a scrap heap, their tech was decidedly not junker style;
Yeah, the tech class isn't dominated by what the Earthen are doing. The Earthen in regards to a tech class are simply additional tech races for both factions, and possibly an opening to link such a class to Azerite and Titan concepts.They’ve hinted more recently at races like the Earthen implementing resources/technology from other races.
So maybe they won’t go the race specific route.
Again, we're having this discussion because of Gazlowe's appearance as a semi-major character in the next expansion. That happened because Gazlowe is the technology hero of Warcraft. It's been that way since at least WC3, so it's baffling how so many posters don't understand that any technology class is going to be filtered through Gazlowe and the Goblin Tinker. It was always going to be that way.

While I don't think we're getting any graphical updates overall, that latest cutscene utilizing in-game assets looked incredibly good. They've definitely upped the graphics in that department.

From a class design and technical standpoint, yes. They're using the Goblin skeleton, so utilizing them as an additional tech race for the Horde makes sense. Also them having Goblin tech abilities doesn't clash with their racial lore. Not to mention that it helps that they're a rather popular race.
Oh, and there's also this guy;

You speak as if the abilities YOU think a tech class should have dictates what it WILL have. Sorry bud, but just because you've been pushing the pocket factories and explodium stuff for so long as your own personal concept doesn't mean that is how the class will be.
The goblin "artificers" will have to be using crystal turrets, focusing irises, pylons, constructs, and energy weapons derived from cosmic forces. Not any of your ridiculous joke concepts.
I disagree. Again, the tech concept is going to be going through the filter of the WC3 Goblin Tinker, so if Draenei are going to be part of the tech class, you're looking at something like this;
And I'm willing to bet that most people would be perfectly fine with that.
For example, a Draenei tinker dropping a Pocket Factory that looks like a Draenei device and pumps out Draenei-looking robots, or a turret that functions exactly like a Goblin or Gnome one, but uses a Draenei model (not a Pylon like Starcraft). That simply works on multiple levels.

Did any of you get access to the Beta? I thought it was guaranteed with Epic Edition but can't see anything on my Bnet launcher
Here's how I would do it:
Shredder Mech- for Goblins and Orcs/Mag'har
Arcane Sentry- for all Elves
Gnomish Mech- for Gnomes/Mechagnomes and Dwarves
Crystal Sentry- for all Eredar (including Broken)
4 base styles with recolors to better represent the different subgroups. Maybe they would let you mix and match pieces of the mech? Even if they open it up to all races these would be the mech styles as they are the main engineer groups. You even get two horde and two alliance styles.
I don't think 4 models would be too much to ask.
This is similar to how I would handle it. Represent the quintesstial races like goblins and gnomes as "schools of engineering" but not race-lock the class. Leave it up to players to decide if their worgen operating a draenei mech suit delivers the fantasy for them or not.
And who knows, possibly they would be introduced the same time as Ethereals so you could have them presenting a sort of neutral option as well
I always loved Gazlowe model in heroes of the storm

I hope tinker/artificer would have a Steamwarrior spec in full armor and a spec using only arm like Gazlowe or the model datamined by wowhead

As reliable as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west... you can rely on a conversation to derail into Tinkers when Teriz shows up.
Just realized blizzard=microsoft (I know, I know, but it's easy to forget) and on Sunday there is Xbox game showcase. Imo TWW release day trailer is almost certain (similar how they revealed SL initial date on Gamescom) and D4 expansion big trailer very likely.
Something like that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UANuDDQTNKY
Also, if we are lucky, maybe trailer for next animated short series?
It's just speculation, just can't imagine Xbox show without their newest cash cow.
So when should we expect beta drop? 1 PM EST?
