that's one of the reasons. basically tww is soft launching today. people are going to min max the crap out of it and are probably going to burned out before the actual release.

It's really, really not. They get a *lot* of people testing, which will hopefully enable for a smoother launch. They did the same with MoP.

I never said that (and i'm not gonna start that argument again). also, what's your point? do you think i'm just "dooming"? people min maxing everything before the expansion is even out is bad. yeah, we have the ptr (and i don't mind about that), but this goes beyond that.

Neither the Beta/PTR build or servers are out yet. 11.0 is still on the last Alpha build and PTR is on 10.2.7 still.

Beta servers are still down and also getting wiped, I think you are looking at 10.2.7 PTR.

Yup, they are all in the same queue and log in.

Beta/PTR share the same realmlist, but Beta realms will be in the Beta realm category (or "Invalid Category" on the current Beta build) while PTRs are in their regular category. Anasterian is a PTR server.

I just said i don't like giving people beta access with money because i know many are going to buy it (there is already a q on the beta realms) because blizzard is also giving them a 3 days early access on the actual release. do you think that's healthy for the game?

i dont think the 3 day early access is, but i think the beta portion is. it ensures people who actually wanna test the game will get beta. someone who spends 90 dollars on the pre order is more likely to test than any random person like they did in the past.

I hope they will somehow remove mining/herb/skin materials from early access, that is last thing that could give edge over normal player (beside saving time for leveling). Still dick move of course, but as I said before, it's shitty industry standard that Blizzard help to spread.

It's extremely healthy for the game. Do you remember how broken SoD phase 3 & Alleria questline were because they didn't publicly test them? And the 3 day early access prevents the typical launch day clog.

Honestly I always thought that whole "using the past expansions to predict the upcoming ones" was on the dumb side of things. Real stretch to not consider Dragonflight at least partly an elemental expansion.

I'm guessing this got delayed to Midnight where the Scourge will return. They need a new DK intro for them and any new races introduced in that time.

There is no point to doing those things. People clearly want to test the game for free: They're not being coerced into doing it. Any damage to the culture of the community is only in your imagination.
