No rating required, just you doing rated pvp. Gladiator mounts wouldn't give you the FoS if you farm it later, give people who own an elite set also a new FoS per season, and don't allow people to actually catch-up. Best of both worlds.
Some of the best sets in the game are Elite PvP, and they are just straight up not seen ever. I doubt most players even realized that WoD had an Elite PvP set whose appearance (at least the shoulders and head) were completely unique to those players. And given so few players were all that interested in WoD, or are still playing, most of them will be nothing but curiosities and probably never be seen.

Hopefully players will eventually be given a way to actually farm these appearances so they can get the love they deserve.

Anyone was testing pre-patch event? How long it takes to fully equip one alt from scratch (no upgrades)? It is possible to change this gear into tier from S4?

I may be wrong but I don't think they did testing for it, I think it was mostly kept under wraps besides some stuff being datamined.

It's been up for a few months now on the Beta. Dunno how quick it is though.

Looks like I'm in the no-Beta club this time around despite being in every Beta since TBC. Guess that's what I get for not having the cash to buy an upgraded expansion. lol

Oh wow I haven't heard a thing about it, too. That's...ominous, hah.

Ditto. Kinda surprised, hell I've been in a bunch of alphas too. Maybe they purged names from the friends & family list or something (or my friend forgot to add me again).

Thats a weird suggestion. Because Its not even headcanon and no one is saying its canon either, but at the same time its also impossible to just dismiss, simply because you dont like it. Its been a theory ever since like you said, but a plausible one nontheless.

The topic, seems to be a trigger for some it seems.

Same here with the alphas, though I was never on any friends and family list. The cynical part of me wants to say that only a handful of people who haven't bought the more expensive expansion packages (in which beta was guaranteed) are allowed in this time, but more likely it's just the luck of the draw. I was also one of those folks who actually tested everything and sent detailed bug reports every day so I thought I was put on a short list because of that considering how fast I got into previous betas but nope. lol

Guess I'll use the time to clean up all of my bank storage again to make room for the hundreds of useless items the new expansion will inject into the game that my OCD compels me to hold onto "just in case".

Its been talked about so many times, its not like its brought up every single time, but I have seen more people talk about it besides the one you are talking about. It pops up now and then.

    Bad post here all around.
Why are you so triggered by a simple theory. No need to be so passivle aggressive.

Wether you like it or not, its been a plausible theory for what ever its worth ever since. Literally anything can happen.

Dont forget to sell all the crafting materials in DF that will be less in demand going forward.
By the time the pre-expansion rolls around I would expect the prices to plummet, so better to be ahead of the curve on that one.

Haha, I have crafters for every profession, so all of them hold a small stock of "outdated" materials...just in case. I fail at the AH metagame anyway.

I think most of us fail at the AH meta game. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't ounce on the chance to offload some awakened elements or whatever materials is needed to make the legendary weapons. Plenty of people who will want to make them before the expansion is over, and little reason to keep the materials for later.

Also it's nice to have more space in your bank for the next expansion when you inevitably fill it up with materials again.

It's not hard to dismiss. It's just that clueless people keep bringing it up. It's never been a theory, just a wild unsubstantiated guess.

Prove it then. What exactly makes you think that?

It seems more likely we are dealing with " I dont like this approach, because I like Tularyon" type of thing, which I am seeing every single time its brought up.

As much as I like the "Light is actually evil!" trope, making Turalyon evil just for the sake of it is incredibly lame.

There is also very little that supports this "theory" other than a vague ilgynoth whisper that applies to 100 things and him replacing Anduin.

Bring up times in the game which makes you and others think that Turalyon will end up evil. Because this is what both you and Bauman keep talking about. Because I don't get it. You guys say he's a zealot fanatic but never provide context or situations where that's the case?

Of course. It's always a disaster when the writers decide to complete change a character's personality to use them as a villain, and after all the past cases of that, it's natural for everyone to strongly oppose doing it again. Just like it made absolutely no sense for Kael'thas to turn against everything he cared about to join the Legion, and Sylvanas's constantly changing personality and motivation was awful, it'd be nearly impossible to reconcile the villainous Turalyon you're suggesting with the current reality of his character- a guy who follows the Light but is reasonable about it and has always put his family and the world first. You want him to be an entirely different character in all but name. Far better to use an entirely new character or Yrel (kind of another character derailment, but the damage is already done with her unless they decide to retroactively fix her like they did with Illidan in Legion).

At least with Yrel it's more believable because there's a 30 year gap where we are told what she did and who she became. With Turalyon there was 1000 year gap and yet we weren't told he changed. He's just the same old hero he always was. To change him now after staying the same for 1000 years would be beyond absurd.

No. It's "I don't like this approach, because Bauman tries to force it on every step in a batshit crazy way". Have you seen his reasoning? He keeps claiming, that Turalyon is a problematic, toxic, white male, dangerous character who keeps his queer wife in an unhappy relationship. And all of this, because dude dared to be wary of inviting Dracthyr to SW at the start of Dragonflight.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
