Most places on the planet have a very different relation to skin color than people in the US. Not saying that it won't be problematic, but it will be very different. At least in Europe, ethnicity is far more important than race.
I'd say with Faerin they gave her certain distinct features, especially with the nose. I'd also say it doesn't have to be intentional. If I asked someone to draw me a black woman, they wouldn't draw me someone with near elven features and black skin. This Faerin looks a bit like Serena Williams I guess? which very much comes to mind if I think strong black woman (and a one-armed soldier should be damn strong).

I do not understand all the discussion about Faerin. She looks very cool, even if the shield thing would be ridiculous in real life. Thankfully this is WoW, not real life, and it is a stupid-cool thing.
Her model is awesome, especially in the cinematic, those elf ears look amazing.
So we have a cool model, now they just have to deliver with proper development. If they write it wrong it will be just another wasted character to add to a (sadly) long list.
BTW, I am expecting more cinematics with at least Faerin. I do not think that they wasted resources in making her a full CGI model just for two seconds of a trailer.

Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.
Lot's of stuff in WoW would be absolutely ridiculous in real life. Like... Look at the Shattered Hand Orcs who had BOTH their hands replaced with blades.
Faerin is a character with lots of potential. I wouldn't judge on whether she is good or not until further into TWW.
Oh absolutely, i also didn't mean to say that expansion, which are longer are automatically better. like look at WoD, which lasted longer and had barely any content. I think it just highlights how packed/compact Dragonflight was in comparison to other expansion.I mean, comparing a modern expansion to something like MoP or WoD is stupid because 50% of those expansions is the last patch because they didn't really understand how to develop efficiently.
Oh yeah, absolutely.
I loved the release cadence of Dragonflight, even if I thought the actual content they released in .5/.7 patches was incredibly uninspired. If they can get the actual content part down rather than have another "Kill mobs until boss spawns on a two hour timer!", it would be amazing. I don't want TWW to turn into another schedule simulator (and tbh, so far, it doesn't really).
Yeah I hope she stays. I've enjoyed her character and I assume she will be our guide in an Avaloren xpac. Yes the obvious people hate her because they only see what to them is forced diversity; the thing is, Faerin actually has a character and a backstory. She does need a better arc though because right now it feels like she is just there for Anduin to interact with. Just fix the voice
Anyway I want to set some time aside today to check all the max level events because there seems to be a ton of them. Anyone knows if they are actually implemented or will they be a complete and buggy mess?![]()

Soup was genuinely one of the better mini events they've done, so more like that would be great.
I feel like Superbloom's problem was mostly that the individual tasks weren't involved enough. I find it weird you'd like Hunts but not Researchers though, Researchers is just less spread out Hunts. Was it just that Hunts have more variation?
The acitivies in Rifts are probably the best of the set, but I think that the design of Soup/Researchers/Superblooms, where everyone is all together doing a thing are better design than Rifts or Hunts, which often have you basically just doing stuff alone over a pretty big area.
Soup was good yes.
I think "assault" type events like Dragonsbane keep could be fun as well.
Superbloom was way too long and felt tedious. Hunts were okay, I liked that you could basically always drop into/out of one.
I think one of the issues with researchers was the pretty harsh time limit and how hard it was to actually finish a full run if you didn't look for a raid, especially since some achievements required you to reach later stages multiple times to be able to complete them.

Soup also had the benefit of leing beyond the soup anyone could benefit from.
Other only happen for a 10 minutes every so often and leave no other mark on the zone.
I think that all events were good experiments. I support their willingness to try new things and I am looking forward to see what they try next. I have not tried the beta yet, so if they are indeed even more events than in DF I will be surprised, as I thought that Delves would be a kind of replacement for them.
The biggest dissapointment in DF were the new archeology event and WQs without a doubt (IMO). The others were nice, nothing amazing, but different and entertaining enough for a while. I think that the Superbloom event with the seeds and all that interrelated system was the best.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.
Except we got an entire profession revamp, cross-realm raids, and we got AI companions in DF. These new things you're mentioning in TWW are simply extensions of what we got in DF.
And yeah a single allied race doesn't really stack up to a new race/class. Especially when in the end it's just a Dwarf.
TWW just pales in comparison to the features we got in DF. Maybe something more is coming up like how we got Trading Post in 10.1? Maybe Blizzard is purposely staggering new content as the expansion rolls along? As it stands now, things look pretty bare bones in the new stuff department.
I'm merely pointing out that previous expansion class inclusions were based on hero characters. Death Knights were based on Arthas. Evokers were based on Alexstraza and other dragon heroes. Demon Hunters were based on Illidan. etc. I'm not aware of any Void Knight or Lightweaver heroes in Warcraft lore.as for the new class possibilities im going to not engage in that discussion when you have shown in the past you arent open to differing ideas.
It is doubtful that Rootlands is going to be 11.1 or 11.2. Typically raids fit the theme of the patch they release in. If we're getting a goblin raid, that means whatever patch we're getting the raid in it's theme is going to be goblin. I also have doubts that we're doing another forest/tree style patch so close to what we had in 10.2 with the Emerald Dream patch where we dealt with the new world tree. I also doubt they'd entitle a raid in the Rootlands "goblin raid".
Undermine as major patch content simply makes more sense.
