It's definitely just the last Dragon Isles creature we will ever get. I kind of agree it may have been cut content as it would make sense to design a regular Draconic Owl in some patch, and then have Anurelos reuse its rig for 10.2, but between the color, necklace and the design of its saddle its 100% tied to the Blue Dragonflight.

There's that too. It was obvious that the Jailer was a royal figure in his old design. However, the chest hole and Arbiter's orb made it equally obvious on the new design, so I'm unsure just how "secret" it was meant to be.

If anything, if they dialed back the royalty jewelry on the old Jailer design, but let him keep the beard (covering his chest hole), it would be a really clever way to hide it.

The old Jailer design (and final one tbh) even had the same skin color. Two blueish white-haired wizard gods with giant white beards may have been too much.

There's also the fact that it looks kind of like Terenas, to the point that I REMEMBER people speculating "The Jailer" may have been Terenas (somehow). Honestly considering his connection to Arthas, Terenas might have been the original design inspiration, but again it looks way too similar to a more chain-themed Aman'thul.

I'm also guessing in TLT the Titans will get armored "battle forms" to spice things up and this will include Aman'thul. So an Armored Aman'thul may look even more similar to this old design.

...but also, how interesting would it be if a shaved Aman'thul ended up looking identical to Zovaal?
I wouldn't be suprised if the similarities were intentional. Its possible he might originally have meant to be a rogue titan but later they changed course and decided to go with the Eternal Ones and Shadowlands having its own pantheon.

I mean in the old design, he looks less like A Titan and more like a straight up variant or alternate of Aman'thul. Which may have been (and may still be) the idea.

But again, we have very little information to speculate about. I am sure that when we are a few months into TWW our knowledge and ideas will have changed quite a bit.
She calls them legendary, not mythical. And she seems surprised Anduin is just casually friends with one, but does not seem super-surprised they exist, which strongly suggest they are rare, but not non-existant in her homeland.

Besides, the description she gives does not fit the known dragons at all.

Consequentially, there has to be a seperate and distinct population of Dragons in the Arathi empire. Probably in out of the way places, where hunting them down would be to much effort to be worth it, especially since they don't appear to be seen as purely malevolent.

That's possible too. Maybe they changed it because having some endtime variant of Aman'thul was too similiar to the Murozond story.

It would be nice if a dev ever comes forward and gives the insider scoop on just how much SL changed over the course of development and perhaps what their original plans were.

There is also the fact that all of them are presumably descended from green dragons, rather than the various different types we see normally. I can't imagine a brood like that would be particularly beliggerent, or really want to do anything but relax and hoard gold or whatever makes them more like a dragon like Faerin is describing.

I have to say, I wonder how many times health pool changes for everyone have happened in the history of WoW. Maybe at some point they can figure out they have an issue with health scaling.

I don't think it's health scaling in and of itself. It's more a disconnect between the class design team wanting to make healing more deliberate and the encounter team scaling damage to match the health pools, forcing a return to the status quo.

It just happens so frequently, sometimes multiple times in a single expac. You'd think at some point they would agree on some clear targets.

They even have the constellar hanging out in Mortis and they are either THE Order creatures or are their servants.

As always I still believe the FOs are Titans that time travelled back to the beginning of time (setting things up so they would be the dominant force in the future), or they are direct descendants/heirs of the FOs after they did the original cosmos split. They may even be (literal) copies of them.

Could they have been ambiguous gods that don't match any of the existing themes and aesthetics? Sure. Would that have been a better plot? Can't say. I personally like this level of intrigue, it reeks of entities manipulating things behind the scenes, which is a story type I enjoy.
I'm of the belief that World Souls are THE sleeping souls of the First Ones, who peaced out after they built the Framework: but i think the more likely truth is that World Souls are First One related Souls similar to the Souls inhabiting the Eternal Ones.

Personally i cling to the origin mythos of the universe. A clash between light and void that created everything. World Souls are fragment of that light. But since the clash between light and void created everything else (life, death, chaos, order), a world soul can be changed to one of those. And because they are light, it is that the titans feared a void corrupted world soul the most.

As for the First Ones, they might have been the very first beings that were created after the clash between light and void, or they existed before that clash, and vanished with the clash. Perhaps the first ones were light and void. The primordial light and void before anything else existed.

The delves "mini renown" is now in, and you get a few of the flying machine customizations during season 1. Really hope they expand on that and add it for Raids/M+/PvP too.

Has a page about the purge of dal been posted some where?
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

You randomly mentioning me about all of this was part of why I chose to create this account to begin with.

It's because you cannot stay away from this website, no matter how many different accounts you make, or how many times you change your account's name. Major ego alert.

    Remember, you said this:

Just to be clear: you "living rent free" is by virtue of you making an ass out of yourself multiple times, across multiple accounts, with your opinioned overreaches and tendency to attack people personally for not listening to you.

There is a difference between "living in your head rent free" and people remembering to not listen to you, because you purposely act a certain way. This is the same as walking into the middle of a crowded room and pissing on yourself for attention.

    A huge difference.

Let's just be very clear: you do not live rent free in anybody's head. You act like a complete ass and go on tirades based on opinionated over-reaches over the lore and make an ass out of yourself.

By virtue of you standing out is how people remember you. Similar to walking into a crowded room and pissing your pants on purpose.
Keep it civil. Also, I was in people's heads rent free considering they kept talking about me even when I was gone for a bit. So, no?

Reminder that she nearly flooded Orgrimmar and fucked over Varian's plans to bring the Blood Elves back into the Alliance.
