Oh, how I wish unironic factionposting were prohibited.

You hate dracthyr because you hate scalies, I hate dracthyr because I'm a scalie and know naga are better. We are not the same.
I really hope the string/wind instrument used prominently in the TWW Theme around 1:25 is mainly associated with Hallowfall and the Arathi. When they talk about "the next X years of Warcraft", it really feels like the Arathi, Avaloren, and their entire empire have a solid stake in that. I would hate for this portion of the theme to be isolated to TWW.
It would be laughable if in order to do a 'tyranny of the light' storyline, they invented an entire "other alliance" on the other side of the planet just to avoid portraying the Alliance badly.Derail? The topic of the day is Chronicles 4. Sorry to say the discussion about book about fictional war is going to involve some political language.
New world map out.

Not sure if anyone already mentioned this, but according to Wowhead's summary, the new Chronicles already confirmed that Worldsouls are not necessarily Titan souls, and that becoming a Titan is just one potential outcome for them.
I know that's probably the most predictable reveal imaginable, but at least they're not saving it to be the big twist in TLT. I expect it'll probably end with Azeroth becoming something entirely new instead.
I'll agree if it were to hypothetically go down that route it would be a silly shame considering they have had no problem making members of the Horde villains. One would only hope a story like that from an Alliance perspective could be done well. All hypothetical.
I don't entirely believe that Arathi Empire would be entirely light-bad story. I think portions of it will certainly play in that, but I think there's a lot of ground that can be tread. I think having a large antagonistic (and non-playable) faction for both factions to war against would be great.
The Arathi Empire pushes a campaign alongside their new friends the Scarlet Crusade to retake New Avalon and the former Plaguelands. They funnel money and supplies into the new Defias Brotherhood to sow even more dissent amongst the citizens of Stormwind and their nobility. They look to create bases of operation along the northwestern coast of Kalimdor to either learn more of the Naaru from the Draenei or to steal technology. Full colonization attempts in the old world, a force we've never dealt with before and one that won't simply just go away with killing a single big bad. Just ideas, but things that could be beneficial.
Speaking about factions: Apparently it is the horde that set Xal'atath free.
Their hubris knows no bounds!!

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
they certainly painted it as worldsouls are at the core of planets, instead of titans. And even the reason for sargeras isn't merely the potential of a dark titan, but a void creature born from a worldsoul. So, not really retcons, but removing the notion that worldsouls are automatically titans.
I think that matches with the "radiant song" being Light aligned in many ways. Not because Azeroth is a light creature. But it has the potential to be one. Also, due to sargeras sword, the machinations of the old gods and xal'atath, the titan machineries, and the roots of Elun'ahir, it seems Azeroth is aligned with most cosmic forces by now, at least to some degree. I'm not sure if i should count the Energy drain from Zoval at the end of Shadowlands as aligning azeroth to death.
Idk, new book states otherwise.

Also:
So it seems that "First Ones" are just a made up legend by the inhabitants of Shadowlands.
Though this tome previously set forth the creation of the physical universe, the Pantheon of Death believed differently. A myth had taken root in the Shadowlands, centered around a group of mysterious and enigmatic beings known as the First Ones. Their number varies according to perspective, but the Eternal Ones believed there to be six: Light, Shadow, Order, Disorder, Life and Death. Some believed in a seventh power, but its nature was unclear. These First Ones existed in a constant conflict with one another, until opposition became balance, and battle became creation. A design was formed, a pattern was drawn, and each gave something of itself to his manifestation. These interactions birthed children of their kind, who existed similarly in both harmony and discord. Within this mythos, the denizens of the Shadowlands believed every sentient creature in the universe sprang from the original patterns fashioned by these First Ones. The beliefs hold that these beings created the titan Pantheon, the Old Gods, the naaru. They supposedly formed the realms of the living and also the dead - the Shadowlands - and its pantheon, the Eternal Ones.

I guess we'll have to wait for chronicle 5!!
I like most additions from this latest addition. Some good bangers there like finally confirming that sunreavers were actively complicit in stealing the bell.
The only big L in this one, is the handling of the BFA timeline. Makes 0 sense no matter how hard you try to wrap your head around it.
