Obviously, they will be one of the big focuses in the patches, I would imagine.
It makes far more sense for them to have been set up as patch content from the start. We knew all the launch zones as soon as the expansion was revealed at Blizzcon, I doubt that it was already cut and all this marketing was already set in stone all the way back then.

They're probably just teasing them now rather than introducing them out of nowhere in 11.1 or 11.2. Seems like a good approach, since people are already looking forward to meeting them, and hopefully playing as them.

There is no "cut zone" and Harronir were always obviously gonna end up as leading into patch content lol. Stop the doomsaying, we aren't living in BFA times anymore.

Especially as we know they are in the initial zones but prolly hidden (as they have a camp with I think no npc's rn on beta) - they said in recent interviews that Dalaran isn't the only thing they kept out of Beta.

Yeah I do not think that the Harronir zone is cut content. They probably have for the first time a very clear layout of the patches for each expansion, at least zone-wise, for all the WSS.

I think that TWW's patches (small and big ones) will be significantly better than DF, which already were the best patch cycle in the game history.

Honestly cannot wait to see how they keep adding to, evolving and improving the game. I love the little improvements like the new map icons. It makes the game so much better IMO, even if they might seem like minor stuff.

BTW, I bet that we will get a new spec in TWW for some class, and clearly more Allied races, at the very least the Harronir.

    Exciting times ahead.

The cinematic felt like cuts from a couple of potential cinematics, focused around these characters. Maybe we'll get one per week leading up to the expac like the Warbringers animations...speaking of which, are we getting those this time around?

just noticed: the cinematic is branded as "official cinematic" of the expansion. lol that's lame

That's because Avatar is the generic cashgrab (no matter the budget) appropriating aesthetics. It's like saying WoW looks like Raid Shadow Legends.

But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

Official cinematic simply means that it was officially made and released by Blizz and is a part of TWW, not that it's the main one.

Every cinematic made and released by them is "official".

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

Azj-Kahet is internally called "Zone 5", Hallowfall is "Zone 3", Ringing Deeps is "Zone 2" and Dorn is "Zone 1".

which matches up with "Rootlands" being Z4 on the very old developer map.

I am not saying it's a bad thing the zone has been cut, and I am not saying the plot threads have been scrapped, it's just to explain the unusual amount of attention the Harronir got for the launch compared to how relevant they are (not at all). It's the same reason Krexus is so heavily featured in pre-launch material for SL over Draka. Cinematic development takes a long time, you need to make extremely high fidelity 3D models, and cinematics themselves take forever. In that time, the story shifted to place more of a focus on Draka.

There was a datamined reference to one for the Nerubian Queen. Tbf, they did start releasing them really late for DF as well, so they might start next week.

Every game has cut content. It's wild to think they don't. Blizz ain't perfect.

Harronir being nothingburger after all this promotion would be nice faceplant to start the Saga with.

Cut Content isn't necessarily a bad thing either. Sometimes, developers think they have a cool concept, and it just doesn't work. Sometimes, they think of a cooler concept.

Fact is, there is a cut/delayed zone in the game. Harronir were probably supposed to have more of significance in the story as well. I just got my Collectors Edition and the last page of the artbook is a page on Orweyna, and her short blurb says that she must be connected to the Whispers.

Yeah the Harronir/Rootlands are definitely patch content. They’re definitely going to be a big part of the story, especially with the buildup involving the roots in DF and the N’zoth whispers.

He aint wrong tho. The portrayal of the Horronir is just that.
The weird swirly dancing and blue skin and the odd face.

I find them unappealing, same as Avatar.

Harronir looked lame. Otherwise the cinematic was goregous

Unless there is a surprise second cinematic, I am surprised they didn't focus on Dalaran.

Also the people saying Harronir got cut are insane or trolling.
