In 'StarCraft: Brood War' there is a plot where the remaining Cerebrates (generals of the Zerg Swarm) merged together to form a new Overmind.
It would be cool if a story was being told in TWW that, through the Nerubians collecting "blood of the Old Gods" and the reveal of that giant Old God-looking tentacle, if Xal'atath was trying to somehow merged with it all to regain her original form... if her original form was an Old God after all.
“But this isn’t the end. I promise you, this is not the end, and we have to regroup and we have to continue to fight and continue to work day in and day out to create the better society for our children, for this world, for this country, that we know is possible.” ~~Jon Stewart
There's a new in game cinematic that sumarizes the events from Sargeras stabbing Azeroth until now, with a focus on Xala'ath. I think it's really well done, and lays the playing field out for the story in a way I'm surprised they've never done. It played as soon as I logged into a character. My hype for TWW is even higher now.

Nice, they are finally doing story recaps.
It's also quite well done too.

The Warcraft youtube channel released a nice summary of Magnis story aswell in Short form.
Basically from his crystallisation, through Legion, BFA, and setting up his presence in TWW aswell by explaining how he feels betrayed by Azeroth's silence in recent days.
Shortform, recapping videos like that are great for refreshing memories or getting new players into the story without having to explain the whole backstory of characters.

It's not a full video, but a short.
They also did one for Anduin:

You know, i'm not even mad for what most people are about the video.
Yes, Faerin made me roll my eyes when i've seen her on the cover of the book they released. Of course they had to introduce her as a main character, like most characters today. But, at least they made her look badass with the armor they gave her, the scar and the missing arm is an interesting take.
The Harronir, although people attribute her to the Acolyte, felt pretty trollish.
My grievances is with the Earthen, which looks incredibly generic (why doesn't he have any armor?), like The Thing from the Fantastic Four. The Nerubian, which looks more alien than spider (just because you put several eyes on a creature doesn't make it a spider. Like, you have Nerubian models from WC3 and WotLK. Where are the mandibles? Their eyes are usually big and black. They could have added some hair). And the fact that Xal'atath does nothing every cinematic other than smile at the camera. Doesn't really sell her as an awe-inspiring villain.
I've been burned out on WoW for a while and tried to get back but I guess Blizzard doesn't want me back since I cannot stay on for more than a minute.
So, they destroyed BM hunter and Aug with this weeks beta build.
But on the other hand, the final boss on Mythic now drops 3 mounts per kill, yay?
Checking out the items from the event, man, this would have been the perfect time to use the unused Kirin Tor themed Aluneth.
I'm still so salty we didn't get that.
