Artwork was amazing as always in these shorts. I sort of hope Xal goes fully unhinged in the story. Should be fun to watch.

I assume that's Xal using illusions or projections to appear larger, but if she's actually grown to be that size that would actually be even creepier.

Why do Earthen offer so little customisation. Shadowlands took steps forward, like separating the moustache from the beard. And yet none of these advancements were brought over to the Earthen.

Pretty sure she is just floating.

Not that I disagree completely, but I rather understood the Titans' humanoid forms as more like a Visage, a self-chosen, self-created appearance - they did re-assume these forms at the end of Antorus despite Sargeras having "killed" them, either destroying or abandoning their physical bodies.

And I still believe the Titans were born as World Souls, not injected into Reality like the Old Gods, they just chose an alignment with/were 'corrupted' by Order, which yadda yadda led to them visiting Zereth Ordus somehow.

Heh, threads. Because, you know, the title of the short? ...I'll shut up.

Yep, and we don't know how tall Ansurek was before her "ascension".
And Blizz plays fast and loose with sizes anyway, particularly boss-level characters.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

Love that animated short, really well done. The more horror style of it just made it so much better. I'm just glad it's not more tentacle sh.t

What's the difference between PTR 11.0 and PTR 11.0.2 ? Launch stress test ?

The timing lines up with the series they did for Dragonflight, so maybe? Feels like there's room for two more of them easily at least, with one focusing on the divide between the three major Earthen groups and one telling the story of the Arathi arriving in Hallowfall (possibly showing the moment Faerin lost her arm and preserved the Eternal Flame).

Presumably, 11.0.2 is the "all beta content fully implemented, 100% ready for launch" patch. I believe 11.0.2 is the number they gave on the roadmap, at least.

So they can add new customization as a feature in a future patch. At least i hope so. There are still allied races like kul'tirans that seriously lack options.

The girlboss trope is pretty bad though, not sure why you'd want it.

That said, none of the women in this short are girlbosses, not the mother, not Ansurek, not Xal'atath. I can count on one hand how many girlbosses Warcraft has, and Talia always comes first to mind. Not so much what she does, but her shitty attitude.

The only girlboss in WoW is Lady Katrana Prestor aka Ms. Onyxia.

Sis took over the strongest and richest kingdom on Azeroth just by whispering honey words into the right ears. She is an icon.

    Sylvanas and Xal'atath could never...

It’s a shame we got Onyxia/Prestor early on in WoW’s lifespan. She’s exactly the interesting kind of character who would have worked ideally as a background villain being developed over several expansions ending with the big reveal.

It’s an awful trope. Arya Stark comes to mind. Without a doubt one of the worst characters from that universe.

Arya is super cool in the books, in the series they made her all preachy and annoying

Book Arya is fine. She’s not offensive like her TV counterpart.

I think our evil queens are varied enough, with Azshara being self-motivated, Ansurek being misguided, and Sylvanas caring about the forsaken varying by moment to moment depending on her depressive episode. But what is strange is dedicating one of the animated shorts to a character thats only going to be around for one tier.

In WoD they dedicated multiple shorts to characters that died not only in the first raid, but dungeons as well.

The Shadowlands short for Ardenweald was dedicated to a character who died during the Ardenweald campaign. Denathrius was also only intended to be around for one patch, before Blizzard decided to flip the script and keep him around due to fan reception, allegedly.

The shorts being dedicated to short-lived characters isn’t uncommon.
