You quite literally said that you cannot eat regular food in arenas, only conjured stuff. The topic in which you were responding to was using food to heal up/regain mana in arena. It wasn’t discussing using the well fed food to get buffs.

Stop being obtuse and trying to move the goalposts. You know full well what was being discussed, considering you can go back and read it.

You spoke about rated arena. You absolutely can take in water/food. No one even mentioned taking in feasts. Arena does not change or differentiate upon it being “high ranked”. You can literally take in food/water regardless of the ranking you are.

It seems I’m not the one without a clue here. You clearly have zero idea.

Dude, have I done anything to you that you attack me personally, constantly? Stop that bullshit.

And food =|= water, you CAN'T eat regular buff-food in rated pvp, because it's disabled the same goes for pots/phials/runes. That's what we discussed, you feel free to go back and read our discussion.

It isn’t an attack. It’s correcting you especially when you’re doubling down whilst moving the goalposts.

No one was discussing taking in vials/pots/flasks/buffed food.

What was being discussed was Earthen not being able to use food to heal up, which was debunked. Part of that conversation was the ability to use food to heal in arenas. There was no one talking about using what you were saying to take into arenas. You weren’t even talking about using what you mentioned in your past couple of posts.

This is all moot anyway as it serves no purpose to speculation about the next expansion anyway as we now know Earthen can use food to heal.

No, I said it doesn't matters that Earthen can't use buff-food (but conjured food) in arenas, because you literally can't eat buff-food in rated arenas anyways. And than you attacked me, twice. So please stop it. Thank ya =)

In other news, the animation short video is super cool, and I'm actually glad they switched the artstyle from the WoD/Legion/BFA ones to make them more in line with ingame stuff. (I'm also aware that the original artist did leave Blizzard iirc, so no shade at them)

I also loved that they actually corrected the BFA plothole of "where were the Nerubians?" since both the Mantid and the Aqir did help with the assaults and defending Ny'alotha.

Also plus points for making Xa'latath a bit like Sadako from the Ring lol. Cute little creepy voidgirl!

That tall, hooded faceless one looked super imposing.

I’d prefer Shadowlands remix. Shadowlands has an insane amount of wicked cosmetics that are either difficult or time consuming to get. I think the content there lends itself well to the fast pace of remix.

I’d prefer we actually got a Legion “classic”. It’s the best expansion of all, in my opinion, and I want to experience it again in all its glory. Remix is great for cosmetics and a distraction from main retail. But let’s be honest, it’s a bastardised version of the expansion in the sense it doesn’t feel like you’re really playing. Dungeons and raids are just far too fast with very little challenge. It doesn’t feel like you’re actually playing. I want to experience Legion mythic+ again, Nighthold and Antorus properly, etc.

That one spell the queen's mother cast in the beginning was pretty sweet. Would like to see that as a shadow priest spell at some point. Still a pretty underwhelming stand-in for Azjol-Nerub, but a pretty sweet bit of character for the queen. I was worried she'd be a bit more flat than this, but she actually has a good bit of identity to herself. Still detest the idea of making nerubians humanoid, though; these really should've just been their own thing instead of another Maldraxxus-style retread for the sake of preserving the core nerubian identity.

Pleased to see Xal'atath get a bit more than just smirking at the camera (though they couldn't resist the urge at the end there). She's definitely a step up from prior expansion villains and has been shockingly consistent in her portrayal. Hope they don't trip at the finish line.

Still wish CDev could do things beyond "[thing] from the past, but BETTER and COOLER (but far less interesting) than [thing]!"

This trope of a 'wise and powerful Queen who only wants to do right by her people' is stale now.

As far as I’m aware we’ve yet to have that in WoW, at least in a villainous sense?

    - Azshara wanted to do right by herself. She cared about her people as an extension of her vanity but that’s it.

    - Sylvanas viewed the Forsaken and the Horde as her shield and chess pieces to manipulate.

We have Talanji, Jaina etc that definitely fit that trope but they weren’t villains.

I agree it’s a boring trope. But as far as I’m aware it’s new for WoW in terms of a female villain.

Fair enough, you’re right. For as much as I love Legion, I found Elisande a poor villain. Suramar was fantastic but we see very little of Elisande.

That said, I find most of WoW’s villains poor. The only ones to be effective in that role, at least to me, were Garrosh, Azshara, Denathrius and Gul’dan.

N’Zoth was squandered. Fyrakk was fun in a camp way but nothing particularly memorable. The jury is still out on Xal’atath and Iridikron.

Well, the "wise and powerful queen" is already dead before we even get to meet her

    Are you sure she's dead

It's true that the evil queen trope is a bit stale now, and the girlboss hero is starting to be as well. We're lacking some testosterone on the hero side of wow since BFA.

Sadly I can’t see that changing until The Last Titan at the earliest in which we’re likely to see the return of Illidan. I can’t see which male characters who would play a prominent role in Midnight outside of possibly Turalyon, Lor’themar and Velen at a push. Midnight seems destined to be spearheaded by the Windrunner sisters, Liadrin, Thalysra, Voss, Calia and likely Faerin.

Love that, we need more girlbosses. Period.
