Can't wait for AU Yrel to pop up and be a protagonist, exposing how the Iron Horde/Mag'har were killing Draenor somehow & she was just trying to save the planet.

She might be in Midnight, if what Metzen said about the forces of the Light has any bearing. If we need a drive-by Light villain to vary us from the tentacle boys, I'd rather it be her than the Arathi Empire. Maybe she's there as a frenemy at first and turns on us, or something like that.

But I don't find her necessary per se. Blizzard is already sowing the seeds for a Light themed antagonistic force, they don't need to drop a character who was only relevant for one Allied Race scenario back in BfA. WoD Yrel has little in common with that one anyway.

Doubt we'll have any major light-based antagonists during Midnight, as the description of the expansion says we're joining forces with the light to repel the void, etc.
Maybe a dungeon or two with a scarlet or something so it isn't all void.

I'm not suggesting Yrel as the center of some big overarching plotline with cutscenes and stuff.

I'm suggesting her as a midpoint Raid Boss on the way to the Dark Star. Exarch Hellscream, too.

Less "Argus the Unmaker" more "Varimathras", to use Antorus as an example of where she'd fit into the end-expansion raid.

I would rather the "your friends on Draenor killed everyone and demolished/took over your garrison" thing be forgotten. Only thing of interest that could come from it would be the potential to bring back Garrosh somehow, but given how badly all of the other current characters are being treated he would almost certainly be ruined too.

Honestly, I'm most inclined to think Yrel should survive. I figure her influence could add some teeth to the Alliance.

I don't mind Yrel unlike a specific portion of the community...

I just don't forsee her coming back because of the whole Moral Event Horizon she dove across as soon as we looked away.

I would rather the "your friends on Draenor killed everyone and demolished/took over your garrison" thing be forgotten. Only thing of interest that could come from it would be the potential to bring back Garrosh somehow, but given how badly all of the other current characters are being treated he would almost certainly be ruined too.

Garrosh was never born on the alternate Draenor and cannot be born because his "Would be Mother" is dead.

Also Garrosh was an utter pile of shit during and immediately after Cataclysm, so he should just be left to dissipate in Castle Nathria. Dispersed into nothingness as an unrepentant bastard is about the happiest ending he could have.

I wouldn't mind seeing her. Maybe slightly less light furher-esque and actually rational antaognist. But possible she just gets dropped entirely. Unless I'm mistaken I don't think there's been any references to her since BfA.

Amirdrassil was the perfect time to continue the Cult of Ragnaros and DID plot but they completely abandoned it.

Meh short. They're still doing the bad modern Hollywood music schtick too. Blizzard had good shorts with MoP and WoD, and then last their mojo after. Gul'dan was sorta okay, and Jaina was good, and that was it. The rest of the Legion/BFA/Shadowlands/Dragonflight shorts were forgettable.

I don't like that the Nerubians look like humanoids now. Should have stuck with their WotLK designs.

That the crystal is a draenei ship has also been my theory, but did not think about how it could actually be from alternate Draenor that would be insane (and it would kind of fix the WoD mess by bringing it back neatly into the main storyline?)

Now they are saying that quest unlocking all appearances were a bug during Beta. I don't know about you, but I'm fucking tired with all these small setbacks with warbands system. Other stuff were small, like still keeping some achievements character base for some reason, but this is just ridiculous.

It's like one of main devs has still this backward thinking and constantly trolls effort of wow team. I hope community will roast them like with radiant echoes.

Yeah, it worked fine on the beta, we have cofirmation that it was intentional, so the backtrack feels almost malicious.

It's geting worse more I read about it. Morgan Day, literally number 2 among wow devs, said it intended to be retroactive after direct question from MrGM. It was less than 3 months ago, before Beta with character copy and ""bug"".

I see also conspiracy theory that they couldn't implement this on live so they are scraping it - because they said Warband conversion will take around 20 minutes, yet it was instant.

That i could accept. I'd rather they save the Empire for a post-Worldsoul story and then go explore it in more depth.

Fun fact, there was speculation back than that Sluttfist was supposed to be the Garrosh encounter in Castle Nathria (which would have made sense since they teased him in the Revendreth short) but I guess it would have felt too similiar to Kaelthas and also he prolly had the same fate as in SoD anyways. Still, they should have made him a secret phase for Mythic Soulrender, that would have been fun.

Yeah it’s ridiculous. I don’t understand their thought process surrounding this. They advertised Warbands as the answer to our account wide prayers; and whilst it is on many fronts, circumstances like this are just unacceptable. It isn’t fair on those who spent hours upon hours, days upon days, even weeks and months to complete Loremaster.

This is something that needs to be rectified. There’s no defending it.

On a loosely connected note, if someone could clarify that would be appreciated - what’s the deal with SL covenant transmog sets? I’ve unlocked every set across the covenants but I can’t use most of them on characters that haven’t joined a covenant or are part of a different one. Is this intended? If so it feels super limiting & inconvenient. If I’m a venthyr but want to use a piece from the kyrian I’d need to change my covenant. It just feels very restrictive for making sets and it’s something I thought Warbands would fix.

I can use other armors as transmog perfectly fine. It was even feature of 9.1.5 patch. But I think you have to get max renown on covenant X to get all chars ability to use transmog from covenant X.

Certain souls go to Ardenweald where they are sent to the Emerald Dream in order to be reborn in Reality. But every other soul seems to just remain in the SL forever - with the Ardenweald ones being the only ones that appear to leave.

But since we've been to Zereth Mortis where death was apparently created, along with Birds, Frogs, Spiders, Wasps, and more, and we know there's a Zereth Ordus where presumably Order was invented along with additional animals...

Maybe they were made in Zereth Vita, along with the rest of Life? Though maybe since they're a shadow of life, what's left behind, they were made in Zereth Umbra.

Of course it's always possible that while the power of Life was created at Zereth Vita, we'll see at least Demon Souls created at Zereth Chaos.
