In fact, we've already been told that expansions up to Midnight are already planned before Battle for Azeroth.
Event where everyone grind like crazy for godlike powers and clear raids on their level almost solo? Of course not, it would lose all charm if this was up every month.
But having way to level your character from start to max in older expansion? Of course it should be a thing, but why limit it to timewalking? Just enable Chromie time as option to level 10 to 80 in one of first TWW patches for all people who did campaign and get 80 on their main in Khaz Algar.
Maybe we should also get special rewards with different expansion themes for people who pick specific Chromie time and won't switch to another before max level, to avoid both people rushing through warlo.. I mean fastest expac or jumping over different expansion for most lucrative quests. For example MoP could have returning Remix cosmetics.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
S1- Nerubians
S2- Undermine with Siege of Undermine (Or Gallywixland or something like that)
Megadungeon- ??????????
S3- Rootlands and Roots of Elun'ahir Raid
S4- Awakened
And then moving on!
I know this may seem like a troll comment, but I am kinda bummed we don't have a cinematic with more narrative elements. A cinematic with only 5 second clips with no direction is kind of lackluster and not helping the hype train at all. What media can we show to someone to convince them to return to Wow?
There isn't one because TWW doesn't have that kind of story and it's not that kind of expansion. Metzen pretty much confirmed this when he said something about the expectations for the story saga.
This is basically Midnight Prequel #2 after Dragonflight. It's just connected to more exciting expansions to help sell it.
That being said. They may try something like what you're talking about with Khadgar in the intro. But I kind of doubt it.
I really have almost no hype for this but hey, I paid for it so I'm going in. Still waiting for an expansion to hype me as much as BfA, Legion and WoD did. Let's hope Midnight manages.

This does feel like the waiting room for Midnight doesn't it.
Cinematics are great and fun but they're so far divorced from the actual gameplay of an expansion. I don't know how that alone is what hypes you.
For me personally, its all about the setting and a good villain. And TWW is a huge step up from the last two expansion in that regard. So I am quire excited.

And I get that. I have been waiting for an old world revamp for years, so I am as excited for Midnight as everyone.
The feeling of X being a waiting room is more so down to knowing what comes after I think. It makes it more difficult to focus on what is more imminent when we already know that we will be going to Midnight to have major plotlines continued or concluded. And once Midnight is being datamined the complaints of it feeling like a waiting room for TLT and all the amazing stuff that will obviously have will begin.

That would be great. Generally just making a better Skybox for use in the Old World would be great.
The world revamp dream will never die!
OK so in the starting quest we effectively do Xal's bidding and weaken Dalaran's defenses like idiots. I am so tired of Blizzard storytelling forcing my character who has no agency in a so-called RPG to be the useful idiot for every villain with a question mark
