The animations might not be a problem, but Blizzard would have to retexture every chestpiece and chest covering to make them wear player armor.

Their torso isn't smooth, it's a blocky carapace and their second set of arms does not potrude directly beneath their first set, but rather from their chest:

They'd have to comit to a ton of texture work to make sure every chestpiece, shirt and tabard looks actually good on them.
Which is on its own a lot of work, but even more so when you take into account every modern chest pieces that have ornate sleeves.

And sure, while they can pull a Dracthyr and just have them not show the chest gear, that would severly limit customizability.
Dracthyr do have a second form to accessorize, these guys would not.

Or they would do barber shop armor. Yeah, they don't have a visage form, but they may figure that for certain monstrous races with radically different bodies they are kind of locked to this- do they let people play Sethrak/Naga/Arrakoa/Ascended or are they doomed forever because they can't wear gloves?

Even with Naga it's like how people are theorizing they will get a fishy Highborne form. Because there's no way they will actually do pants textures for them.

One of the reasons Ethereals are likely playable in Midnight is they are one of the very few NPC races (and requested at that) left that are actually humanoid in a way that fits armor. Vrykul too, with TLT, but you have to deal with their size. (Maybe a kind of Reverse Algari Earthen thing with a new clan that is smaller)

The funny part being that pants actually look somewhat decent on them despite turning into tailtubes.

There's also a massive flying Octopus called "The Guardian" flying around the horizon behind the Church (Priory Dungeon) which happens to be unkillable.

Its probably wrong and proven to be so but I like the idea.
I can not agree but I see the reasoning. At best I could see the voice and memories we considered coming from Azeroth actually came from the beledar, while Azeroth is not heard yet.

I have a feeling it's going to be playable Nerubians in Midnight, despite the technical issues. I believe that one of the reasons they can make Dracthyr open to different classes is because they solved the problem with armor on unique body types, which opens the door for playable Nerubians.

I remember Metzen saying something about getting these stories and expansions delivered to us faster, which makes me wonder what the patch cycle of TWW is going to look like.

Should we expect to see 11.1 earlier than usual (like, in December for example) or is it going to be the usual wait of around 5-6 months?

Do you think Odyn (and maybe Tyr) might show up in Khaz Algar?

The first big patch is usually only 3-4 months, so I imagine we will stick to that. We know that 11.0.7 is already on the vendor build, so really it's only a matter of time before we start seeing stuff on that. Possibly as early as 2 more weeks as that is when the raid opens.

    Eyyy, welcome back.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

I think they're shooting for an 80 day cadence between each patch, including .5 and .7's, but not completely certain on that. I think things are already getting pushed up a bit as 11.0.5 is already on internal testing, though maybe our bird friend Marlamin can correct me if I'm wrong.

This is why I want us to go to Silithus underground in the final patch. I want to know if the Qiraji have something approaching a society as well. If they do it must be incredibly insular given the most we see of them are the Silithid, who only seem to be big insects and nothing more.
Its all some real nice world building down there. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did.

However, there's also the angle of "once Ansurek and Xal are gone, what are these weird offshoot kin going to do?" It kind of reminds me of the Forsaken. Consider Neferess as well: if s she's not in the last campaign chapter, she's still alive in a changed form as well. There's room for a redemption arc and there's a built in reason that they would travel the world instead of staying in the city: they don't belong.

I think there's enough going on with them for an interesting playable faction. And they have a lot of animations.
Hm. When you put it that way, I can see it after all, good point. Will be interesting to see play out!

Yeah, seeing Cheezits lay it out like that convinced me in the end.

Eh, he said, to Vyranoth at least, we wouldn't see him again until the Titans come back. Doesn't mean he's not out there mucking around, I suppose, but I'm not expecting him to be anywhere besides Northrend at present.

They're very firm on the 8 week per patch cadence, its been reconfirmed repeatedly thats' what they are aiming for and Holly has stood fast that they will continue that.
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

    Nah, it'll still be every 8 weeks (so a .05 then a .07 then a .10), so 24 weeks til .1

So probably an expansion every 18 months instead of 2 years

So only 2 major patches for TWW and 8 smaller (probably)

Chances are Blizz will keep them shelved till TLT.

If a Keeper does pop up, i count on it being Freya.
    ... Hopefully.

I imagine we will see whatever the original Keeper for Khaz Algar was. I hear talk that it might have been Archaedas, which would explain where he went, but hard to say.

We already know. It was Dornic, then the Earthen overthrew him, & was replaced with Galan.

Neither Dornic nor Galan were Keepers, they were Watchers.

It's Archaedas who helped the Earthen get rid of Dornic.

The original keeper for Khaz Algae made Dornic and Galen, who the earthen eventually killed when their edicts became tyrannical, and Dornic started shutting down Earthen for seemingly no reason.

We still don't know for sure who the Keeper was. Only that he eventually left for reasons the Earthen did not understand.

I wonder if the reveal will be that it was Odyn, somehow, which explains Dornic and Galen's shitty behaviors.
