Yeah me and someone else in this thread got different whispers too.

It seems that wowhead has picked up on it too as there is an article about it. There's apparently 4 different whispers we can get.
    Eye w/ Dagger quest done
    Eye w/o Dagger quest done
    Dagger w/o eye quest done
and then one for someone who did neither

Love these little things they add in the game sometimes!

it's so alien to see this forum be this positive about a story

I know everyone is still excited and speculating about the 11.0 story but I just had a brief moment of not being on complete auto-pilot while herbing and was wondering if they've already told us the real name of the "Rootlands" - the Deepgrove? It does sound very fitting for a place where the Harronir presumably come from.

It's possible, certainly. Though I think they just needed a botanical sounding name for the herbalism knowledge items,

I think it would be cool if we would get previous doomplate armor set that thrall had for 20th anniversary, i know it might not mean anything but on gamescom art when they were talking about anniversary stuff, there was thrall in the middle wearing it.

That "it will be a while until you pick another Deepgrove flower" description kind of confirms it for me. Also it's a more grounded name for the "Rootlands" concept.

It will be a while because you can only get one per week.

I know they will probably just make remakes of Tier 2 sets since that is easier on the artists. But damn if it wouldnt be great if every class got a remake of a beloved set.
hard to say what those sets would be of course. Especially with DH and Evokers already having the quintessential sets. (shirtless and pants to look like Illidan, and TWW giving a Deathwing themed set) But a cool idea to consider nonetheless.

There is already sylvanas armor in the files for a while and i bet it's for anniversary, so i just wonder if there will be more known heroes armor versions that we might get, sets these heroes no longer use or are dead.

For me personally Doomplate would be awesome or garrosh rest of the mog would also be awesome or grommash one for warriors, since we recently got lo'gosh in shop.

They are adding lich king and frostmourne stuff in other games, so maybe finally we will get frostmourne mog for DK's.

Just adding iconic sets like judgement that were available and new ones based off known heroes would be cool, i have to say besides judgement and the druid tier 2 i don't like others at all so i hope they will choose approach that we mentioned.

    But i know it's a big hopium, but it's also 20th anniversary.

I had this same feeling when I found these items!

If this story quality continues the way it is, I'm excited to see what kind of parallels they draw between the coursing veins of black blood and the roots of Elun'ahir.

I hope they choose different sets for different classes. T2 has a lot of stinkers imo. In general if they pick only one tier there will always be some class that gets the short end of the stick. But i think every class has some old set that is still popular despite looking outdated.
Maybe thats too much to ask for, but i would also love recolours or elite versions. These really improved the black temple set remakes.

Or at least give us the nightborne armor. It's the anniversary after all.

There have been theories that world trees are basically just the life equivalent of old gods. Burrowing down into the core to reach the world soul. Unlikely now that we just willingly planted one, but still interesting.

    Wowcast on the 20th anniversary.

Modern tier 2 transmog, classic timewalking, BRD Raid returns, Gates of Ahn'Qiraj revisited, and more.

    New shaman ascendended forms too.

Dracthyr classes confirmed 11.0.5. Mage, warlock, rogue, warrior, priest, hunter.

    EDIT:

All classes that didn't exist for tier 2 are getting newly created tier 2's based on similar NPCs. Neltharion for evoker, etc.

11.0.5 is the anniversary event. The whole patch (which was confirmed 2 months), up on ptr next week I believe. So it's looking like 11.0.7 in December, 11.1 in February?

Warcraft 30th year anniversary items are faction based crests as back items for the Trading Post. Horde, Alliance, Scourge, Night Elf.

They keep laughing happily at Chromie. Meanwhile I am cringing.

Classic dungeons with no visual refresh?

Damn they are ugly. I think most people just want an SFX cosmetic, not a model replacement.

I spent about two years hoping this huge anniversary would be the point we'd get a world revamp so I cannot really get that excited about this. Really only worthwhile thing seems to be the tier 2 sets (and only some of them). I wish they'd just done "Iconic old class tier set" instead of specifically tier 2 because imo the only really great one was Judgment.

They should've just given us our character but surrounded by all the new primalist effects they made in Dragonflight, like Kurog. Very disappointing.

Every time I read it I hope against hope that they will announce that Dracthyr will be able to transmog more than just the shoulders, belt, and tabard. And yet, I am constantly disappointed.

Also, regarding the HD Tier 2 sets. It does immediately bet the question of sets for classes added after Classic. Hopefully we get some mention of it eventually.
I suppose all the transmog could be limited solely to armour type, rather than class. But one can hope.

Yeah, something like that would just be cooler.

Yeah. I am surprised they didn't just make the Dathea model the model for all the ascendance forms.

It's easy to imagine fire and water variants. It seems to just reuse the regular elemental skeleton. And it shows off the Shaman in the middle, so you don't hide your transmog.

I guess I got my answer real quick on whether the non-classic classes would get transmog. The Evoker and DK sets certainly looks good.

Also, I have to assume the developers are aware that not being able to transmog fully is an issue. At least the people making these promotional posts must know how silly it looks to only habe the shoulders nad belt visible from such an amazing set.
