We already know something happens with the sword as told by Chris in his one on one interview.

He also says it's a 13 issue and I don't see Xal making it to 13.

The Dark Heart makes it to Midnight at most. To me, the whole point seems to be to have tons of Shadow/Void energy to infuse the World Soul and turn it into a void entity (Void Titan, Void Lord, Void God, whatever). This will be thwarted by us at the end of TWW causing Xal to pivot into the assault on the Sunwell. The Dark Heart might still play a role there, but it certainly won't after we "banish the shadow forever".

The Dark Heart makes it to Midnight at most. The Dark Heart might still play a role there, but it certainly won't after we "banish the shadow forever".

The assault on the Sunwell is already somewhat prophesied with A Song of the Depths. The Naga (presumably somewhat affiliated with the Void at this point) already say Queen Azshara is coming back in some type of ascended Empress-like version of herself. So Midnight is pretty much set in stone regardless of what happens in TWW.

I think it would be neat if Azshara moves in as a renegade Void usurper, taking over when Xal'atath fails and moving straight for the Sunwell.

The question is only what, technically speaking, causes Midnight, presumably some type of darkening of Azeroth. Does the Worldsoul get corrupted at the end of TWW, and does that have a similar effect to the Beledar turning from Light to Dark, or is it more like the assault on the Sunwell corrupts that, and that's what causes the darkening?

I lean a bit more towards the former. Xal'atath just barely being able to turn the Worldsoul into a dark version of itself, so darkness falls. Then the Sunwell remains as a final beacon of hope, which is why Queen Azshara returns to conquer it and snuff out this final bastion of Light.

Btw I think Khadgar is still dying this xpac. Probably what he did left him nearly dead and he is now just waiting till he can no longer hold more. Probably will do some final magic then pass. Though perhaps he could change and become something like a Force ghost by merging with Azeroth's ley lines.

Im not sure if its just me but i feel like the Dark heart has a connection to the Cosmic chart.
When you look at the most Recent campaign cinematic the dark heart has 6 spots it looks like its absorbing into an when Alleria fires her arrow into the dark heart the spot she hits is the bottom left which lines up with Arcane an lo an behold Khadgar comes out of that spot. Theres gotta be some kind of connection there or am in to deep chat?

I mean if this is true, then that would be too big of a coincidence. Is this also the same area where Order is on the chart?

I think it's either Alleria or her golden retriever. Their interactions with each other are so suspiciously wholesome that it seems like a foreshadowing of tragedy to come. Especially with her "I always come back" line.

I don't think Khadgar will die. But i think he might step down. And with Atiesh destruction it would be a good point as any to bring back Medievh.

What in all of existence makes you think they're writing off Anduin? They're finally writing him having realised he needs live outside of Varian's shadow. How do you see an open-ended plot as a closed door?

You're sadly wrong. Not only because having completed a narrative doesn't mean the character won't keep appearing, see Jaina, but because Anduin still needs to get an outfit change, save the world as his new healer self, then if Turalyon kicks it as @BaumanKing says, either reclaim his throne to render the whole Regency bit pointless or decline it so he can be the main character full time. We might be through with this shit, but this shit ain't through with us.

Golden has never written the in game story, every thing we see with Anduin is the other writers wanting to use him not golden.

You're a little delulu if you think Anduin is going anywhere. 99.89% chance he goes to fetch Sylvanas when Quel'thalas is under attack

After geting Loremaster I focused on first few professions, and I love small changes they made to system. Instead of weekly that force you to do collect quest (very often with almost vanilla like drop rates, imagine that), you get ~2 new patron orders with long cooldown every day. Whole process feels more natural. And finally we can have chars that are entirely focused on crafting, without having to do stupid shit like taking orders from your main to complete weekly.

Of course completionist side of me still waits for DF knowledge catch up.. hell, many legacy professions still have ancient mechanics or ultra rare for no reason recipes, would be nice for small patch to help with that. For example, why on SoD we can have both gnomish and goblin engineering recipes, but not on "no time wasting here" retail?

It's already destroyed. The video made it clear as daylight (pun unintended) it's unusable now.

The plot point going into Midnight is pretty clear after the .2 patch - She's after a new source of Magic hence why she goes after the Sunwell. I wouldn't be surprised if Suramar became a point of contention during the Midnight campaign.


Meanwhile I'm starting to lean towards the theory that Xala'tath is just N'Zoth in human form;
The 4 different "outcomes" in the final campaign quest spoke in 1st person rather than 3rd person.
The "Harbinger of the Void" title was already taken by Uu'nat - Uu'nat was still alive at this point
Void Ascendants existed before Azj'Kahet, you find them in Nya'lotha
Azshara described N'Zoth as a bluffer who knows he's the weakest out the 4.

There's some hard evidence pointing towards the theory, could easily be wrong however.

Ooooh, here's an idea...

The Dark Heart was destroyed by Alleria, but we hardly saw a resolution for it. I don't think it's permanently destroyed, but I think she's off to get it repaired.

Perhaps that's her tie in with the Venture Co.? Similar to how Garrosh used the Blackfuse in Draenor to help create the industries of the Iron Horde, maybe this Darkfuse/Venture Co. can be used by Xal'atath to replicate or repair the Dark Heart in some way.
