I guess they are confident enough in their content cadence now of they aren't teasing the next major patch yet.

Don't think it would have really made sense ot tease the next major path anyways. We have both 11.0.5, and possibly even an 11.0.7 patch to really build up to the future patch. Similar to how the ending to Vault of the Incarnates didn't tease Zaralek, but the Forbidden reach did.

There's a lot wrong with objectifying female body parts. And it's blatant objectification, because the constant display of her feet adds nothing to the plot. It's like Tarantino's movies, but at least he admits that it's a blatant fetish for him.

That's another reason why panel about upcoming big patch (before next small ones) is good idea. We get spoiled about both underground zone and emerald dream through datamining of small patches, so both reveals of actual big patch were flat.

The Sarkareth cinematic had really strong thematic heft to it though. Sure, it didn't build to something greater or anything like that, but it was a strong ending to Sarkareths arc.

Yea, I've never understood the disappointment with the Sarkareth cinematic. We understood that this raid was kind of a one off story wise and they tied it up really nicely. If anything, I think the look into Sarkareth's pursuit of both Neltharion's Legacy and the Void itself was a good preamble for the expansions to come. He reached the pinnacle of the power he sought and when looking into it he found nothing, which truly is Neltharion's legacy.

Ansurek's is okay. I think I could have done without another cinematic of Xal chiding the character she's speaking to, but I do like her take on promising nothing but giving everything, the void is a siphon for itself. My guess is that the hopes for Ansurek in Xal'atath's eyes were to be a worthy fight against the factions that would fuel her black blood long enough to achieve whatever goal it is she has with the Dark Heart or Beledar or the Worldsoul, whatever. Ansurek just simply could not fulfill her end of the bargain.

With Ansurek dead, I wonder if we see a holdout of Ascended or if they seek pennance and to join new socieities as they are outcasts in Azj-Kahet.

We have been spoiled as to the contents of the next patch, however. In the exact same way the Dream was spoiled.

My guess is that'll come later, I think she's currently poisoning the 'worldroots'.

I don't think its necessarily nothing.

We rarely have any main character give us any description of what the cosmological forces tend to be about.
That usually happens in 3rd party sources or remote side quests/interactions.

Xal confirms one of the voids main characteristics is survival of the fittest.
We more or less knew that beforehand, but its not exactly something that was explicitly stated anywhere.

Ansurek cinematic is out. Nothing noteworthy lorewise, really.

Xalataths feet always in the the focus of cinematics is starting to feel really weird though. It was funny to meme about it, but come on. Who's the one with the foot fetish at blizzard?

Tbh, i feel like the feet thing is more coincidental than anything.

Her feet just stand out because she is barefoot and people are generally weird about feet.

For me, it is Xal childing Ansurek is what makes the cinematic enticing. After all, Xal manipulated Ansurek to take the throne, to build up the Nerubian and now Xal is discarting the previous toys like trash.

Oh, for sure. Xal is playing on so many fields at once. Deals with the Primalists, corrupting the Nerubians, the Machine Speakers, the Stormwards, the Arathi, and being hidden on Dalaran, all at the same time. It's easy for her to do other manipulations that we dont know about yet.

we did get the cutscene of the Primal Incarnate Trio getting freed after we killed off Razageth in VOTI at least.

I'd say it is only annoying because we don't know what she is planning. If you can see a villain's plans unfolding with some level of understanding, you can appreciate them. Otherwise they just come off smug.

We already had Sylvanas, who has been like that for way to long. Sadly this isnt new or refreshing so far and feels like s drag already.

I think it's literally just about showing her floating ominously towards Ansurek. It just looks a bit weird because she is barefoot compared to the usual shots like these where they have shoes of some kind.
