They were 10 months into development that’s not “pretty much finished”, if it was blizzard wouldn’t have constantly missed there yearly expan plan and gave up on it.

Locations art systems, all of this stuff would be underway as we have seen by such things for future expans being data mined in parts before they come out but the story while confided to said locations and assets would have tons of room to change.
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

Metzen himself is the source, in this interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZjsyTS_lfk

Not that they were finished mind, but that they were still almost a year in development.

At 3:25 he said they have already been working on TWW for 10 months when he came in.

Since Anduin is already filling the "good blond paladin" niche, there is only one path for Turalyon as a character - to become a villain. If Alleria dies because of the Void, then it would be entirely in character for Turalyon to begin a tyranny of the Light to "cleanse" the world of the Void. He may act like a golden retriever with puppy eyes around Alleria, but he's still a fanatic through and through. There are hints of this even in TWW, like the way he treats Geya'rah or how he admits at the end of the campaign that he still can't trust the Void.

Then, like most of the cast at that point, she was just kind of there.

I'm sure they had ideas floating around for her that maybe even made it onto a whiteboard, but that's a far cry from a plan.
    we will find out
the scarlets are set up to have a link and using them with the arathi would be a fun patch

second path is to die to save Alleria
Xal is definitely gonna want revenge and we see Alleria reconnecting with turalyon so....

Idk. After Rhonin and Nathanos, it would be very strange if yet another one of Windrunner's human lovers bites the dust.

Considering they worked on a survival game for 6 years and had nothing done, that doesn't mean anything. Considering at that point they had 20+ months before TWW actually released, nothing was set in stone. As well as considering the apparent person in charge was ejected unceremoniously. While I like TWW, Metzen undoubtedly framed the situation this way to make TWW seem like a big Legion-esque expansion in terms of scale, which it simply isn't. Building an expansion takes the same amount of time as undoing whatever Baldy's Basics created before metzen got in there.

Will 11.0.5 have any TWW story content?

Doesnt seem like it. Though I wouldn't rule out some minor foreshadowing hidden from datamining, I think it's more likely all of that will be present in 11.0.7 when they go fully into building up to 11.1.

Looks to be chiefly focused on the anniversary but there's Moira doing stuff in BRD, and maybe something at the party at the Caverns of Time. I wouldn't expect much though.

I would think that Rhonin and Nathanos being dead would place a massive marker on Turalyon to also die so that the Windrunner sisters can have a big reunion in Midnight and brood over their lost human loves.

If we get something I would not expect more than a quest where Dagran calls us to the Chamber of Memory to talk about how there is a macguffin somewhere deeper into the Coreway.

Btw do you think we will get anything new next time MoP Timewalking becomes available? It's really weird to me that we still don't have ToT Timewalking.

Roadmap says yes, but it isn't always 100% accurate. They haven't talk about it on reveal video, but they focused entirely on Anniversary there. It won't be tested on PTR anyway. Only hint we could get something is added Vereesa model (...with spelling error).

If anything, expect some short post Nerubar Palace questline. Probably 11.0.7 (which should launch around early January) will have more story that will serve as bridge to 11.1.

It was mentioned that Blizz has 5 zones for Khaz Algar but due to heavy lore implications they didn't include the 5th in the TWW Beta.

Going by the wording, we probably won't be seeing the zone in a PTR either. So it could potentially be surprise-dropped along with 11.0.5? Since it was already ready in the Beta but they didn't want to show it then.

I'm just too excited and eager to see more of the Haranir and the likely Rootlands zone they have!

The character restore service currently has a 60 second CD. I hope they keep it like this.

Zone patches are typically a full number (11.1, 11.2). In recent convention, x.5 patches are typically minor areas/hubs and some new features (Forbidden Reach becoming a max level zone, Zskera vaults, new specs, the anniversary hub, new dracthyr classes, etc.), and x.7 patches are just some new filler content, like a new outdoor activity or heritage armor quest.

    A question if you will.
Given that with the dungeon rotation logic, half the dungeons are largely unavailable outside leveling and lore for release, would it not be a better idea to parcel them out in small patches? Like say straight away that the expansion WILL have 8+ dungeons but only launch with the ones that will actually be used in the first season (usually the leveling ones) and then add dungeons in smaller patches that support the story. Now lorewise almost every dungeon added in TWW release was part of the story (except maybe the honey alehouse?) but imo there would be nothing wrong to launch with 4 and then add 4+ in patches (ideally enough that every season has 4 new dungeons).
