I still say that Nighthold was originally planned to release alongside Nightmare in the same tier, and something made them postpone it - which then turned into a narrative blessing. I guess they then tried to repeat that with Tomb of Sargeras, but it failed as it wasn't organical, caused by an artificial and forced delay.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

It was designed the same way as Highmaul & Blackrock Foundry. They drop the same gear only Highmaul didn't have tier sets. And Foundry was in the data at WoD Launch but wasn't intended to be released until 6.1 - Plus for nighthold it made more sense narratively, because the campaign was written to build up to fight Elisande. They stopped doing this in favor of the current weekly campaign system.

...then go play/read other stories/games that do that. This is an asinine argument.

Hey, you wanna know why it holds up? Because players like you will keep coming back to WoW, or at the very least not stop playing ever, and then make arguments like this like it's WoW's fault.

If this is how you feel all the time, stop clicking the "Play" button under World of Warcraft on the Battle.net app.

(and historically, WoW's story never gets better).
Coming from somebody who openly admits they don't consider the story/lore canon past 'Mists of Pandaria' but cannot stop themselves from having discussions about it, it's safe to say this assertion from you can be ignored.

Building up for something later is futile if the present is so boring people won't stick around for the payoff. And frankly, Blizzard hasn't made me give a goat's ass about the smirking purple elf, so there is nothing to look forward to there.
This is the only fair point you have.

Tomb I think failed because of Legions focus on class specific stories, which for 7.2 meant they needed 12 individual questlines for a single week of quality storytelling.

Had they instead taken each of those class questlines and made them into a generic questlines leading into the Tomb of Sargeras I think they would have had the makings of something great. But instead we got week after week of weekly staggered quests like "find 10 hidden chests", or "kill 50 demons in Azsuna".

Another Titan Disc weekly, more lore tidbits I assume to come.

Nothing new other than after they killed the Old Gods, the Keepers installed a "Manifold" consisting of all the facilities and installations to observe and study the world soul to confirm if it is the Prime World Soul they wanted.

And the Manifold is something Bryn knows about... to be continued!

I thought the Manifold was a lore term for all the collective titan installations, but maybe the Manifold is a certain titan installation near the world soul?

It could also be a network and Bryn knows an access terminal.

Caitlin Lange shared her work on Holy spell effects and they look great.

I find it neat that they kept a consistent theme and symbol between that and the celestial void effects.

When Brinthe goes "I believe I know what this is about" and then stops talking, anyone else punched her?

Did they actually use the new holy effects yet? If not, that's a dead ringer for a Beledar/Light themed patch.

Finally some solid tankadin buffs on PTR!

It strikes me as a bad idea to punch what is functionally a piece of rock.

I've punched Deathwing. I'm sure Brinthe won't hurt.

OK the new ascendance forms are definitely an upgrade. I'd still prefer a glyph that just changes it to elemental sfx instead of a full transformation.

Too cartoony/superflat. Looks like Genshin Impact.

Yeah I like the updated model a lot more too although the bar was set pretty low with that abomination they released first

I still don't think it's very fitting for a class that wields the elements though. Don't understand their refusal to create a form that is based off of the elements.

Now I don't need to feel guilty about not playing a shaman. Although the new model looks better, I was holding out hope that a primalist form would be added. And the biggest issue, that your character takes the (vague) shape of a human, even though you might be playing a Tauren or a Dwarf, has not been addressed.
