Good heavens, people are finally going to stop with their increasingly preposterous theories. It's worrying that it's come to this...

I'm not talking specifically about here. And I'd be surprised if Blizzard changed the roadmap just because they read this thread.
I mean, a lot of people were confused and couldn't see what the rune obviously was, namely a stylized house in hearthstone style. So much so that Blizzard had to put in a house image with the WoW insignia lmao. A bit sad, if you ask me. Whatever, at least there's no longer any doubt.
If the roadmap is anything to go by, we'll have housing in no time...

It is what the roadmap seems to point to though.
They have 11.2.7- the final patch of the expansion according to the roadmap, which, in Dragonflight's patch order, came after the Awakened season and only 3.5 months before TWW- in late Autumn. Assuming a similar time gap, and no surprise updates after the roadmap, that would put Midnight's launch in late Winter/early Spring.
And they had already gotten Dragonflight's length down to 21 months, so it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch for them to continue to improve that.

On the one hand, good to know its for housing. On the other, I did like the theorizing. Ah well.
It clearly is not part of the prepatch. Those miniature pennants are minor patches. The reason they announced Housing now & not at the Midnight Reveal is because it isn't a feature of Midnight.I still think 18 months is too short, and them saying we wouldn't have to wait till the end of 2026 for midnight is not the same thing as saying its coming out at the beginning of 2026.
Seems like we're experiencing the Dragonflight model down to a tee (though 3 zones again? Considering how dead the Dragonflight zones were, they should be improving the existing zones each season instead) Where Housing, Season 4 and the Midnight prologue will make up the first half of 2026. (Also, season 4 sucked hard. They need to improve how fated/awakened work.)

The roadmap goes into 2026, we know that from Classic too.
That said, I'm starting to wonder about a December or January prepatch. Remember that 11.0.7 wasn't on the original 2024 roadmap.
It is possible they add housing into 11.2.7 but it will be tied to the Midnight preorder so it's effectively Midnight content. That's why the teaser ended with that logo. This is how they treated allied races in Battle for Azeroth if y'all remember. They did unlock Void Elves and Lightforged Draenei in Legion, but you had to buy BfA first.

It is literally being advertised as part of Midnight. How is this being argued...if it was part of TWW it would be advertised as such and would be part of 11.2.7.
This was clearly just meant as a small tease that they then clarified cause the speculation got out of control. Also the fact that there is no Season 4 pretty much gives it away that TWW is going to be shorter than DF.
Exactly Winter = Dec 2025 - February 2026.
I agree thats possible...they handled Allied Races like that but I do feel like they would've put it as part of 11.2.7 in this case. A 2 Part prepatch is also possible.

So does that mean Midnight launches next winter I wonder? Since housing was teased for Midnight, this probably means we get it in pre-patch.
I'll personally be happy with that tbh, Fated seasons are boring and would be happy to skip them, assuming Midnight is ready for launch this quick that is.

Assuming Midnight and Last Titan follow same path, that would land Midnight launch in March '26, Last Titan in October '27 and final Saga patch at the end of 2028. Make sense to me.
Imo depends how next Remix (or whatever that comes next Winter) will look like. If it's like Pandaria where your gameplay are mostly transmog runs with people where boss fall on your sight, no harm in adding extra short Season, especially for PVP/M+ people. Otherwise we will probably run same season from next ~August to February/March, which is not tragedy, but still Fated was always cheap way to avoid extending season beyond usual 5/6 months.
So imo Remix should take place of extra season, let's say it's Legion - so new PVP season (with some Legion recolor rewards), 8 Legion M+, Legion raids with wacky mechanics similar to Shadowlands Fated.
Maybe that's also why they dont hold back and give 5 TWW dungeons in Season 2, when they could give 3 for S2 and 3 for S3. S3 could simply use few S1 TWW dungeons if Fated isn't coming.
