This game's design is hindered by desperate adherence to the state religion in real life. Every cat has to be a "german cat," all are Havel's Greengrocer.
Always "zealots" and "brainwashed," as if those words do not mean what they traditionally mean, and are just signifiers of "to be exterminated out-group." Ironically all in service to a real life group of actual brainwashed and actual zealots (you may ban me now for being a dissident).
As for what you are pre-programmed to sneer at, it's the definition of personality and Substance. People are intrinsically attracted to Love, Absolute Truth, And Natural Law. warhammer for example is popular ONLY because people are looking for a rock to suckle sustenance off of in regards to even fumes of Catholic Capital.
People like the look, the real world regime does not allow its cattle to think, but the regime could never, CAN NEVER stop them from dreaming. Reminds me of Venerable Fulton Sheen's many anecdotes about the thousands of Priests who traveled in and out of the ussr to destroy it from within. Every time a Priest was caught, a red guard would be willing to look the other way if the Priest gave him a page out of a Bible.
Each time the Priest would pay the toll, rip out a random page, and the red guard would shove the paper into his mouth and suck off the ink. Even the most dedicated, most murderous soldiers of the devil the world has ever seen knew where Life comes from and hungered. Always seemed to be a strange thing to the Priests but never to the people living in literal hell on earth.
The reason so many people were able to escape the ussr despite there being trigger-happy armed-guards at every mile through the western border, is because from about 10am to 2pm every single day, ALL of the guards in the entire western front of the ussr would be going to Noon Mass in Poland! The red guard LOVED going to Catholic Mass so much that when stalin started getting strokes and banned even underground expressions of Catholicism (he has no reall issue with orthodox or prots, I wonder why) the red guard summarily revolted, killed the entire russian army, and seiged stalin's own mansion.
According to stalin's daughter (the only person at his bedside at the end because everyone else was either dead or just plain hated him, who later became a Nun) the moment the counter-revolutionaries burst through the blockade at stalin's mansions and were gleefully tearing stalin's bodyguard and servants limb from limb with their bare hands, stalin began blaspheming harder than usual.
As the counter-revolutionaries were trying to knock open the door to stalin's locked room, stalin put his hand in the air as a hateful fist to Heaven. With the most violent convulsion stalin ever had, he accidentally slammed his jaw down and bit off his own tongue, his outstreteched fist involuntarily slammed into stalin's nose and forehead so hard that it snapped his cervical spine in two, and stalin was laying totally paralyzed on the bed, with his head hanging like a pinata off the side while whimpering like a baby and choking on his own blood.
stalin's daughter dedicates a large portion of her own autobiography to explaining her father's agonizing, prolonged death because she says it was the happiest moment of her life, and that she only wished his billions of victims could have seen it.
the counter-revolutionaries burst through the door and then began to dismember and defile stalin's corpse in unmentionable ways.
that same night, kruzchev (who was secretly aiding the counter-revolutionaries) had stalin's entire cabinet, the politburo, and stalin's three sons VERY painfully captured, tortured, and assassinated.
I guess my point is, you can take just about everything from a man but God. The second you try to step over that line and all men become worse than demons to escape hell; a painful lesson if there ever was one for all those who aspire to be demons. stalin thought he would "be like gods" too, he wasn't either.
A bit of a tangent, but the offense means you got the message.
Far as I can recall, no one's talked about how the next Hearthstone expansion and its cards has leaked, have they? Because Hearhtstone has kind of shown things off before they appeared in WoW (i.e. N'Zoth).
So, for example, there's some new race, or individual, named To'cha
And then there's what people think may be our first look at a Void Lord. Link If so, I like that its eye(?) is basically a black hole. This one's from a card they revealed call the Ceaseless Expanse
Link to the whole leak.
(Also Yrel sighting)

Some interesting stuff for sure. But so far to date, we've never seen a WoW lore figure leaked in HS. If they are added to WoW its generally as a reference specifically to HS.
The race is potentially a bit more telling since tortollans were first featured in HS (Journey to Un'goro 2017) and then later seen in BFA (2018). So very possible this alien/gnome looking to'cha character could appear in WoW

I didn't quote your whole post because you just used a lot of words just to say "people like catholicism" which wasn't even what the poster you answered mean by "fanatics and zealots have no personalities".
Fanatics and zealots are simply extremists and extremists all work the same way, once you saw one of them you saw them all meaning that if you're already fan of differents fantasy setting who use that trope (like Warhammer fantasy or 40k) or simply history there is nothing interesting in the Arathi being another zealot faction (even less interesting when the scarlet crusade exist).
And about the people who slaughtered every thing on their way to staline, these people as much they had clear reasons to hate staline are the perfect example as to why all extremist are all the same disguting abominations, they hated staline and wanted justice (it's fair) but slaughtering even the servants (being close to staline wasn't a blessing at all) on their way to him just made them the same as staline who was also a extremist/Zealot/Fanatic and all that so 47 years later (not even a full modern human life) they put Staline 2 in power.
Also if you wonder why staline didn't like catholic it's just because it's seen as a west european religions since the schism : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East%E2%80%93West_Schism
Bonus tidbits : during WW2 a lot of orthodox polish who fled to france (catholic) during the early days of the war were forced to convert because otherwise the catholic priests made it clear that they would tell the nazi about them, it was told to me by my father-father who is polish and had 10 years during the war...
So please keep your catholic propaganda for sunday church time.
True but N'zoth and Y'sharaaj were established characters already. They just provided visuals for them before WoW did. There's also a plethora of unique Hearthstone charcters that are never integrated in WoW. So I guess I would just caution to take anything new with a grain of salt. Its bit like the Amitus (missing Titan) debacle last year.
But as for races. I've fairly certain there's never been a completely new race that's unique to Hearthstone. So these To'cha seem imminent in the story at this point.

Interestingly, I was discussing with my partner yesterday the crystal in hallowfall and how some people think au Yrel could be in there, but how I'd much rather a new really alien race to be introduced if there are people inside. Something we'd never seen before.
While many people believe the beledar is a Naaru ship (myself included) I never considered it to be a refugee ship.
I wonder if the To'cha is a race of people's (most likely), or instead rather a character by itself? Is it possible the ship is a refugee ship of young who were sent from a planet moments from destruction who during this expansion will be released from the Crystal, alien and alone, waiting for influence and guidance from whoever releases them?
The design of the To'cha just reminds me of old gods. Probably just because of the eyes on stalks. But maybe To'cha is a child of the void, captured and stolen by the light and hurled through space. Could be an interesting character to join us though the story, only to age and inevitably succumb to his nature. Baby old god? Baby void lord? Really just throwing out crazy first impression theories here.
Interestingly, Tocha has a meaning in Portuguese, a hard wood lit by fire and carried as light. I.e a torch. (not a language I've learned much of just incase anyone is and knows better) interestingly this has come up as we're exploring the arathi culture with their lamplighters and importance of fire. But still. It's probably just a new race that isn't relevant to any of this, and To'cha possibly has no real meaning.

I've been taking down the different achievements and was working on skyriding this weekend. Wtf have they done with flying? It was so responsive in Dragonflight. Who on earth thought to add that bounce & level effect when you are trying to skim?
I am really enjoying TWW, to me it's the most enjoyable launch since Legion but good god I don't think WoW has had this amount of bugs since at least WoD.
That hearthstone expansion is like Warcraft and StarCraft having a mutated baby.
That said, I’d be lying if I didn’t believe Blizzard could build a void/light-based technology (artificer) class from that concept for midnight.

By the way...
Odyn received a report that Earthen in Sector AR-938 had started acting weird around a strange fissure/anomaly, but was it the worldsoul, the Beledar, the roots of Elun'Ahir, or the Old God depicted in the mural that was the anomaly?
I did the Dornagal race yesterday for a WQ. Good lord, what a horrid place to put a skyriding race; a capital city with terrible FPS for a significant vocal percentage of the player base (based on the amount of threads I've seen on the official forums and reddit), when you need the game to be responsive to hit the rings.
Did they have a race in Valdrakken? I remember doing races in Thaldrazus that took me past the outskirts of Valdrakken, but don't remember any actually set inside Valdrakken.

AFAIK we don't know that yet. All we know is that whatever the anomaly is caused them to develop behaviours, language, and demeanors similar to dwaves. I think the best bet would be an Old God/whatever was in the mural - the Curse of Flesh caused the main Earthen to develop into the dwarves that we know today, wouldn't be out of the question that a shadow/void entity might cause a similar evolution without straight up fleshifying them.
