Just working on my theories about what's next to come, using DF's release schedule and the way they handled main and side stories in the patches leads me to this:

11.0.7 - Siren Isle, foreshadowing Goblins like Forbidden Reach foreshadowed Sarkareth.
11.1 - Undermine/Kezan - Main story thread here is Xal hiring goblins to fix the Dark Heart. Zone story is focused on Gazlowe and the main cartels, raid possibly stopping a newly in charge Gallywix, or stopping him from gaining leadership of the cartels. Mirroring DF in that the main story thread was Iridkiron taking the DH and Fyrakk getting Juiced, but the raid was ending Sarkereth. (Possible here that we get a bigger patch with rootlands too, but I hope Undermine gets propper focus)
11.1.5 - Megadungeon - I believe this is going to be the inside of the Beledar. Despite recent information, I'm banking on it being a crashed Naaru ship with a dying Naaru inside, the dungeon can be split into 4 bosses Dark Phase, 4 bosses Light.
11.2 - Rootlands - Xal'atath is using the repaired Dark Heart to corrupt the roots of Elun'ahir. As I've always hoped, my bet is she will use the DH and the old god blood around the roots to remake her original body (speculation). She will be revealed as the 5th old god that was surrounded by roots in the Chronicle border. This body will be defeated and Xal'Atath will be as far as we know, disposed of. It is my bet that at the point of her defeat, she will possess/hide inside Alleria leading to midnight.

Further patches will introduce questlines to resolve The War Within, the Coreway will be fully repaired and we will see the world soul at this point (possibly). I imagine there will be a version of the Harbinger questline involving the depths of the Coreway and the worldsoul.

My theory is somewhat similar, but different:

11.1: Rootlands + Goblin invasion raid

11.1.5: Undermine Megadungeon (Entered from Kezan, which is a mini zone. We may or may not explore the whole island).

11.1.7: Hints at a secret passageway to Azeroth's Soul. The Goblins had 1 way to it in the Undermine, but now it's gone. Second way is found through the Undersea.

11.2: We enter the Undersea and enter a secret zone that's next to Azeroth's Worldsoul.

The final raid takes place at a Titan facility at the soul of Azeroth, with lots of Titan and Void stuff (Maybe Progenitor stuff, based off the datamined stuff from awhile back, but don't quote me on that). The final boss room is at Azeroth's soul itself. The ending has Xal'atath escape, with her plans directly foiled. However, like the Void itself, Xal'atath is quick to adapt, and has more planned for the worldsoul.

11.2.7 has us learn more about where Xal'atath's gone, and we learn that the Sunwell is the Voids next target.

And the 12.0 pre-patch has us defend the Sunwell from Xal'atath's attack, only for Azshara to appear and we ultimately fail. This will lead to Void invasions across Azeroth.

And the 12.0 expansion will have a revamped Quel'Thalas (and maybe a revamped Northern Eastern Kingdoms? Again, don't quote me on that, I'm most likely wrong), as well as the start of the war between the forces of Light and Shadow on Azeroth.

I don't think a secret entrance for us to the worldsoul is needed, as we still haven't fully repaired the Coreway and the entire point of it is for the path to reach the worldsoul. The path of the Coreway that we've seen stops at the entrance to Hallowfall. The bottom of the Coreway in Dornogal still has debris and should lead further downward when its cleared.

I would however like to see the Undersea, and my original thoughts would be that the Goblins would be mining the tip of the Beledar, either without realising or caring, and they would cause it to come loose in the Hallowfall cavern ceiling and sink into the Undersea. I doubt this is going to happen in Siren Ilse (piddly little crystal) if at all now. Part of me is glad, I detest when Blizzard destroy beautiful zones without adding an option to view it as it was.

Maybe the Coreway was meant to lead to what's below the Undersea.

Would be a cool reveal iI'm.

Revealing the Debris at the Coreway could be a good way of having us enter the zone from the capital tho.

But I agree that the two should be linked in some form. I think it would just be a big mistake to not give us a crazy crammed city zone. We'll get untamed and primordial life zones in the future undoubtedly, but this is the one massive massive opportunity for a goblin city. First and only shot.
But we did not get just dwarves. We got 1.5 zone. The rest is kobold, humans and nerubians

Archaedas says: Then began construction of the Coreway, a direct channel to the heart of Azeroth, that would allow the titans to study the Worldsoul without harming it.
It was meant to go straight to the center (? assuming that is where the Worldsoul is.).

At some point we will probably get it in Trading Post. Hell, in Diablo 4 they just gave away KFC items for free.

    Picture this.

It's November 13th, and Blizzard opens Warcraft Direct with a 11.1 trailer.

    - Undermine is overrun by lackeys of the Void. You know, Gallywix-types. They either dug too deep and discovered something they shouldn't have, or the Sword of Sargeras unleashed something below.

    - A huge operation is underway in Xal'atath's name, whether it's to wreck the roots of Elun'Ahir or drill down to the core. Something sinister.

    - A group of good goblins want to fix things and take back their city.

    - A sort of "expedition" is the theme of the story. Clever (and sometimes bonkers) inventors and engineers trying to save the day. A smidge whimsical, too.

    - New Zone: Undermine.

    - New Class: Tinker.

    - New Raid: Roots of Elun'Ahir.

Meanwhile, 11.1.5, 11.1.7, 11.2, and future patches are more about the Beledar, Uldaz, Xal'atath, and the legacy of the Old Gods.

    What would be your reaction?

I would shit. I would just shit and shit.

You know, in like a good way.

There's a lot here I wanted, though I predicted that the Roots would be their own zone with their own raid, while Underminde would have a more goblin-focused raid (with splashes of ancient goblin and Deathwing-related elements).

Wonder why the Coreway doesn't just go straight down then. Heck, there's even a Coreway-esc gate leading into Hallowfall.

Tinker would be really cool as a class available to all classes, with tank, heal and ranged DPS specs. The rest is kind of expected, and while it would be cool, I do not expect anything revolutionary about the zone or the raid.

I am more interested in system changes, evergreen additions (they will probably announce the evergreen Brawler's Guild), and especially in new ways to play WoW or new games in the Warcraft universe.

I think that the Warcraft Direct will be cool to see what is next, but unless they add something really new or a console version, I do nothing think that it will be enough to make me play again.

I could be wrong, but wasn't it mentioned by one of the Wards that it could take years to get the coreway operational? Even if it isn't years, I could see a scenario where we have to find another way down deeper because Xal makes a move - and waiting for the Coreway isn't an option.

I have a feeling we will learn something in future Disc quests with Brinthe and Dagran - Brinthe seems to know some things.

The Coreway does go straight down. It's a giant elevator, and the staircase we fly down is just the service entrance.
If you go to the entrance of Ringing Deeps you can see both the roof and the floor is caved in.

I would say it is a downgrade in terms of story relevance. Does Fortnite even has a relevant story?

The theater plays does talk about there being a way further into the coreway by going through Azj'Kahet.
Might of course just be there for aesthetics, but the palace does sit partially into an even bigger cavern that seems to go much further down than the rest of Azj'Kahet.
