Personally I hoped for years they will go on route of revamping old world as expansion continents, which also potentially could expand EK/Kalimdor closer to their true size. So for now I'm satisfied, we will see if it will continue in 14.0.

I have different dream regarding old world - I want all cut zones back in retail with old quests. They can even have shit XP, I just want option to visit them without experiencing wooden classic gameplay. They did it with few old instances and for sure Quel'Thalas will go this way (Ion said they don't want cut anything in future revamps in interview before Blizzcon), so why not old world.

Side effect of stable patch cycle and lack of big gameplay issues that savior Blizzard will fix. People just expect patches every 2 months and new PTR isn't exciting. During Legion times Ion could say "FLYING IS COMING AND NEW MOUNT FOR YA" and crowd went wild.

Expected it to be at least 90 mins tbh and 45 feels a bit short given all the information we expect to get.

No it is the whole thing. I also thought I was wrong, but they refer to the 4 bullet points below when mentioning the 45 mins. and it is the "stream description".

The creator of the biggest spanish WoW website says that the special announcement is the biggest event for the franchise since the creation of WoW itself. Maybe he is just fishing for views, but it is true that if Blizzard wants to announce something truly big THIS IS THE MOMENT to do so.

The thing is that he previously talked about everything that for sure is going to be announced:

- Warcraft 2 Remastered.
- Warcraft 3 Reforged 2.0.
- Warcraft Rumble for PC.
- Hearthstone content (with the possibility of HS 2.0).
- MoP Classic.
- WoW HC and SoD news.
- WoW 11.0.7 release date.
- WoW 11.1 reveal (he also says that Harronir as an Allied Race and the Brawler's Guild will most likely be a part of this patch).

So all those things are not the big thing, which is pretty obvious. Still, it narrows the possibilities.

Exactly, all these things are expected. Hell, even if we get a new spec for shaman, new hero talent trees, or even a Tinker class, all would be kind of expected, and definitively not something as big as this guy is making it out to be.

Don't see why it has to be something completely unexpected. Or for that matter, why something that changes WoW forever cannot be something we are already aware of as a possibility.

Druids for everyone would change WoW forever, despite it being a known thing for ages.
WoW Remix: Legion returning alongside confirmation we will keep getting these would be a big change for WoW. Again, despite this being something we the players should have been able to guess for ages.

Housing is probably the only thing I can think of that is actually as big a deal as people are making it out to be. Something which is possible to get this expansion. And which won't take 20-30 minutes to talk about like what we might have gotten at a dedicated Blizzcon panel. But even then, I think that is unlikely compared to this being the usual advertising that we have gotten before for stuff like Plunderstorm and what have you.

Yeah. Something that would be huge for people who haven't really been paying attention to WoW may well be rather mundane from our perspective.

I do want to agree. It is the 20th anniversary after all. I am more so looking at this from the point of view that it is a 45 minute long pre-recorded video that is not just going to talk about new stuff coming to Retail, but also Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Classic.
If it is something huge, then it would probably have to be a tease about something that will be elaborated on in the future.
