The map looks like the city would be on the scale of other modern(ish) WoW cities like Suramas and Boralus. Both of those are actually very dense and have plenty of gameplay space when you don't just fly over them at 800% speed.

According to Keyboardturner, etherial will have new models too. One for each body type :

Ah yes, playable ethereals. Finally a new race worth playing.

Well my expectations were for about what we got. I would consider expectations and hopes differently. I had hoped that the zone would be Azure span sized, with half being the city, and the other half being cool cave systems and wilderness. With a redone Kezan up top. Thats a big ask, but Undermine deserves at least that imo. Its almost as iconic as Najzatar. To me at least. I wanted Suramar 2.0 Goblin edition basically.

I would agree if they hadn't already said the new cars would be as fast as dragon riding. Hopefully the map is deceiving, because it makes the zone look almost as small as something like Siren Isle.

Those Etherials look great ngl. Hope they become races.

    Undermine looks bigger lol

Welp, there is your Midnight race! They are even naked to put armor on.

They even have multiple options for what gets covered. And the color of the energy!

    Fair enough.

For a comparison, size wise the city itself is almost exactly as big as Suramar.
Here's the new entrance subzone in Zandalar as well as the new subzones in Khaz Algar. All taken at roughly the same size (unless my datamining tired mind messed something up along the line).

Here's Undermine on the minimap site if you want a slightly closer look.

Another race with Artificers and Battlemages, 2 classes on that leaked survey. Hmm.

Some great new tier sets there! Really love the mage and druid sets. Warrior is pretty boring again though lol

They do all feel a bit random but still very cool

Metzen confirmed this to me personally. It will elongate over the course of his encounter and lubricate with the Black Blood.

The Hunter set is actually pretty good, which bodes well for the patch, though the mage and DH ones are the highlights. Priest is ass.

Raid encounter list, I think this is the correct order.

    Vexie and the Geargrinders
    Cauldron of Carnage
    Rix Reverb
    Stix Bunkjunker
    Sprocketmonger Locknstock
    One-Armed Bandit
Mug'Zee - Heads of Security (ogre boss hence the plural)
    Chrome King Gallywix

"Lightning Bolt has a new spell visual."

    Bout damn time!

Thoughts on some of the new stuff:
    - hunter changes, I like. Pack Leader looks interesting now, even if it is sorta a Animal version of Diabolist. MM I hope Aimed Shot feels good to use. I want it to hit like a rogue train. Was hoping for DW Survival, tho...
    - Lightning Bo- I mean, Shaman looks good. Bit tired atm so I'm not quite understanding what the Enh Maelstrom spender indicator changes mean.

The bandages around the feet of those ethereals make them all look like their underpants are down.

    Okay so:

    - 11_0_goblinraid icons were indeed, legit - no surprises there.
    - Then, we get a serious update on Ethereal models and there's still 11_0_etherealraid hanging out there to be confirmed as legit.
    - We got ethereal boss in 11.0 raid.
    - Midnight is the next expansion, and from there, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume Ethereals get a pretty solid exposition in the story.

In my head it sums up to: we get 11.2 partially about void and ethreals -> its story smoothly leaks into Midnight and some/all ethereals join our forces against void, so we get them as playable race.

    Less probable:

    - Survey is legit and Ethereal playable race comes with Artificier / Battlemage / Spellbreaker / Astrologian class / specs.
    - The Last Titan comes with Tinkers (breadcrumbs being spread now, but access to Titan technology is open in TLT).

Ice strike, fire nova and crash lightning also get updates visuals. Fingers crossed they do a good job this time. Last time they wanted to update lightning bolt it was really badly received and they didn't touch animations for years after that.

No idea about the indicator changes. I haven't played enhancement without addons for years because its so hard to track things. I guess they try to make it easier to see important stuff if you use the standard interface.

They look a little shitty and have that "modern gaming" quality to me, but I honestly don't care. Ethereals are cool in any form, and customization options might make them look better. If I ever come back to retail, rolling an ethereal is a tempting prospect for me.

The "Incontinental"... i think i'll look for a room elsewhere.

With the exception of Warrior feeling perhaps a tad mid, and me personally not being a fan of the Monk helmet, I think these are killer. Like, to the point where even if thematically they're not your thing, they still look like they're of great quality with lots of love poured into them.

Just look at that Mage set, Jesus. Brings it to a whole new level.
Of course they are killer, definitely - some are over the top a little - but still, to say these are trash and "devs should be fired" is just a symptom of absolute lack of "objective" evaluation and absence of taste - and clearly, deteriorated ability of opinion-forming due to chronic twitter presence. At least, not an opinion you should care debating.

The map looks very small for a major patch. Wait PTR & see.

The sets are very good looking, for once, I didn't say "ugh, that one is ugly"

Wonder where those bandages are supposed to hang on? Clearly this is datamining issue where they don't appear on the right place.
