I actually think the delay of the Harranir/Rootlands is related to the Freyasworn Earthen. If it's a druidism themed patch, they may add druids for both races at the same time. And they would need additional time for the dual druid assets.

Mechagon was just a normal 4 boss dungeon with 4 extra ones on the reused outside zone so that they could call it "megadungeon". It was very disappointing, the full thing should have been the city itself

So i wonder for what this datamined thrall murlock pet will be used for, thought it would be a part of some warcraft direct bundle.

I hate to say it, but every single megadungeon has reused old zones or even its own new zones (Infinite). It seems like it was necessary for the workload.

So two new separate dungeons = more unique art assets, most likely. Definitely a plus of this.

It's an improvement yes, it was also awkward to divide them in 2 for heroic and m+

They would have to redesign the rune system entirely. But I do like the idea of setting an entirely different classic season in TBC era, which would be possible. I just think at that point make it an entirely different season. No reason to have runes for abilities you already get in TBC.

Yeah, they would have to change it up a little, but I guess they can do something different for TBC as well as updating the rune system.

No new class reveal during the Direct when they showed Midnight housing content means they don't have anything impressive in store for us anymore. Unless they think housing is bigger for them than a new class but I have some doubts about that. But let's be honest, I was the first to think that Classic Roadmap was bullshit and it was real so I wouldn't bet a cent on what I have to say myself lol.

If tinker wasn't made available with Undermine or Mechagon, I don't see when it could be made available to the player honestly. If it isn't added for the Last Titan which is the last continent in game with an high technological influence, then we'll never see the class. But with all the new mechsuits added in game, I dare to doubt.

I still think harronirs will be playable and there's still a good chance that shaman get a 4th spec but that's going to be as secretive as Evoker's legendary weapon and new specialization. They might just keep the expectations low so the effect of surprise is better when they make stuff available and I'm fine with this. And it would be more logical for them to keep the stuff coming and not reveal everything in advance so they can still get the hype going.

But let's be honest, it is pretty stupid to make a "Warcraft Direct" with so little informations. They didn't even gave us a glimpse of the sets we'll get in Undermined.

Revealing one feature 10 months before they reveal expansion means.. they have no other big features in store. That's why they gave away it early, guess they just want 40 minutes of awkward silence in August. Riiiiight.

If we calculate the length of classic expansion eras by how popular the original expansions were (Cata 8 months, WoD 6 months, Wotlk 18 months, Legion 17 months etc) Expansion era will be caught up with retail sometime in 2028. This makes sense for a classic reset to happen now, especially when, like Everquest progression servers, most people are there for the first 3/4 expansions. And for that reason, another Fresh classic when the Original Era reaches Legion.

But doesn't this also split the playerbase too far? Imagine in 2027 we have three different Expansion eras, Seasonal Classic & retail.

Plus, the biggest problems with level 60 phases is its the hardest point for people to catch-up. It doesn't matter if the previous group content drops higher gear if nobody's doing that group content.

This was about how much WoW information we get from a Blizzcon. Hell, this direct had more new WoW content than Blizzcon 2018

It feels smaller to WoW retail players than previous directs because nowadays they smoosh all their other games into it, when it used to be just WoW, then it became ¾ wow, ¼ Hearthstone.

Now it's quartered evenly between WoW, HS, WoW classic and whatever the hell season of discovery is

Have Blood Elves' environment models ever been upgraded? If not, it seems like we actually got a very tiny tease of Midnight after all (player housing aside)

Which looks strikingly similar, though definitely still unpolished, to:

So I'm listening to the new audio book thing on youtube, and apparently the Kor'kron is a thing again?

They've been vaguely around but much less important than their Vanilla through Mists status. Legion had a few of 'em Horde-side

So it would seem. I can only guess they want to keep a morally grey (read: prone to commiting genocide) faction of orcs around for old times sake.
The bit with the Arathi highlands also seemed to me like trying to give some brief buildup to the Arathi Highlands before it reappears in Midnight. It wouldnt be great just having the remnants of BfA there, so establishing a new Trollbane who may or may not be antagonistic seems reasonable.

you have to include /s if your entire post is sarcasm. Or else we'll think this is a sincere opinion. Because people say things like this on here, unironically, all the time.

"Than previous directs" this is the first direct we ever had. We had a digital Blizzcon before, and season previews. This has a bit less than the season previews because they usually have to drag those out because they're just about wow.

This is the first time they've been properly established since Mists, the Honorbound in BfA were supposed to be Kor'kron but were changed at some point in the beta, and I guess they're back to using the Kor'kron name now.

Lots of good lore in the new novella today, but one point of lore that I think will actually play into future events there is a human/Arathor-first sniper who is good with poisons missing and at large while her commander is imprisoned

    Sooooooooooooooo...... who is getting shot?

So we got Night Elf supremacists, Orc supremacists & Human supremacists, oh my. It's not the most creative political conflict, but it works. Honestly this would be a good way to introduce War back into the story. Though I would like there to be another singular racial faction that would rival the size of the Horde or Alliance, but for now the Arathi is the only real threat. Faelin will either become a villain or defect to the Alliance.
