I think in this case when it comes to thrall - Metzen is back on the team as advisor and probably works on next expansion rather than on this one, so we might see more of thrall.
I might be probably far off, but i would say that thrall will be somehow shown in next expansion reveal CGI cinematic.
I think Thrall is destined to appear to smack down Iridikron and the Primalists, for obvious reasons. No idea why it hasn't happened yet however, unless it is a mandate to keep away faction-tied characters.
Well that’s the thing, if Thrall is one of the key characters for 11.0 then it rules out several possibilities. He isn’t particularly known for being a seafaring character, so that would rule out a South Seas expansion. We’d likely see Kul Tirans, Trolls, Goblins and Humans as the focal races there.
If Avaloren is an expedition to a lost frontier then he’s not very likely for that either, it would be the more adventuring types of NPC characters as opposed to world leaders.
It’s very likely we’re all looking into this far too much but it’s fun to speculate.
IF Thrall is a key character for that expansion then the likely contenders are Lightbound for obvious reasons or World Revamp as it would be akin to Vanilla, of which you could argue he was the chief character. As well as the implications of healing the world and new beginnings.
It’s something to discuss at least.

I disagree. This is the Aspects battle. Thrall doesn’t fit apart from being a throwback to his teaming up with the Aspects to take on Deathwing.

God we do not need Thrall getting involved in another Dragon thing again.
I know that's why I said two expansions would be another way to make it work.
I don't think more patches would make Shadowlands much better because the expansion was unpopular in nearly every aspect: lore, theme, and gameplay. Meanwhile, I think the only weak part of Dragonflight is the lore, since both the gameplay and themes are pretty good.
I'm not against new characters, but they need build-up. We just meet the Incarnates or the Death Pantheon and proceed to kill them, that's neither fulfilling nor exciting.

A World Revamp would allow many story plots to happen on a minor scale in multiple regions, as we saw back in Vanilla, so I dearly hope Blizzard doesn't follow the Cataclysm pattern where everything is about "one threat".
Do we have anything encrypted that could be a Blizzcon reward at this point? Though obviously digital tickets will not be available for a while longer.

Thrall is arguably the most iconic hero character from the Warcraft III and Vanilla WoW era. Who better to symbolise WoW's 20th anniversary and return to the basics?
If we go by the trilogy of trilogies theory then the next expansion is meant to be the conclusion to the Void trilogy (Cataclysm -> Dragonflight -> 11.0). Hour of Twilight stuff.
What are we likely to see more of if the Primal Incarnates "win"? Elemental stuff.
Who's rather absent from Dragonflight, but was a major character in Cataclysm? Thrall.
What does Thrall tend to do? Heal Azeroth.
What does Alex do in the launch cinematic? Heal Azeroth (using her dragonflame).
What will the Dragon Aspects become after Dragonflight is over? Probably empowered again, like they used to.
What is the primary function and task given to the Aspects by the Titans? Protect Azeroth, and most of all protect it from the Hour of Twilight.
What have we seen hints of lately, for example Queen Azshara, N'Zoth and Xal'atath, and Sarkareth? Void and Old Gods.
Who collaborated to defeat the Old Gods' minions (mainly Deathwing) and stave off the Hour of Twilight in Cata? Thrall and the Dragon Aspects.
Who just returned to Blizzard? Metzen.
BOOM. Confirmed.
At BlizzCon, Metzen gets up on stage to introduce:
World of Warcraft: AZEROTH
I’m leaning toward a revamp/healing/back to basics/vanilla 2.0 styled expansion too; with the Lightbound trailing behind in second.
For now I feel like South Seas and Avaloren can be ruled out.
Of course I’m almost certainly putting too much stock in this Thrall art, but speculation is fun and so far this is the most tangible bit of evidence to go off.
I wonder what location the part is with the dead trees right before you see Murozond?
I will not reply to posts that are non-constructive or contain flaming and/or trolling.
I don't think yet, at least, it sounds like things are handled for the most part after the dungeon and patch's events. Leaving it available as a plot hook sorta thing.
I can't verify that well as I'm not at home and can't play but they kinda look like the dead trees you can see in some areas of the End Time dungeon.

Yeah I believe it’s the Ruby Shrine?
the devs said that in patch 10.1.5 we will be done with the infinite dragonflight. I guess murozond is not going to happen and we actually save nozdormu. This makes me sad tbh. Murozond in one of the few things in wow that NEEDS to happen
