I think TLT will actually be pretty feature light versus whatever comes after. Midnight will be big and so will the next saga intro that looks likes it may be Kalimdor focused.

They will likely have to do level squish and class redesign after TLT. So imo, they should go a bit crazy at the end of it.

I think a level squish after TLT makes more sense. Level 100 is a nice round number, as well as TLT generally being a nice capstone to have the level squish on.

There light be issues around talent points. But we only need something for Midnight, and then TLT could be another power fantasy expansion like what Legion was.

That looks specifically like Ilgynoth and his area from the Nightmare.

Would be interesting if they went back to the Rift of Aln as a way for Void to infiltrate, but may be too repetitive of a story beat.

And 2. I LOVE the designs of the Wild Gods here. Lots of Elune-based imagery, as well as imagery that better connects to Troll and Tauren belief (Like Goldrinn and Ohn'ahra).

A quick search shows that "the Waywatcher" is a title Malorne's had for a long time, even if it rarely comes up. Which means that, even within this "what if" scenario, the name is not an Old God/Void thing- they just used one of Malorne's existing names.

Really hoping that they atleast try to collab between the games artwork wise, so that for example the WoW devs could use some of these designs for retail if they want to.

Xal'atah when a Shadow Priest interacted with Remnant of the Void inside the Emerald Dreamway, a while back:

"Almost completely gone, as if it never existed. But the rift is deep and vast, and somewhere down there it stirs. Something has changed, the last prison weakens. We must prepare."

Even if the remnant is now gone, this might be relevant somehow? Could just be about N'Zoth's prison, but it could also refer to the Rift or Ny'alotha in general, or a last last prison. The worldsoul? Some uber Old God?

I think the Emerald Dream expansion in Hearthstone looks freaking amazing. Some of those concepts they showed off feel like the nail the aesthetic more than 10.2 did. Maybe it's the cartoony abstract style of it, which could lend itself well to all that cosy greenery. But hot damn.

Hearthstone is, at least in part, canon. Sure, you're somebody at a tavern on Azeroth, playing with cards. But real lore has appeared in Hearthstone only to then appear in WoW at a later date. Such as Y'shaarj's first sighting.

Tortollans also were originally used in Hearthstone first if I remember it correctly.

Also, always assumed the Rift of Aln was a bridge between Azeroth's Dream and Elune's Realm.

I love how fantastical the Wild Gods look! Ngl, their current Hearthstone designs make them more like Life's counterpart of the Keepers/Covenant leaders/Naaru, etc. I fw that heavily!

Tbf here, considering they do a lot of what-ifs, and they can explore the Dream in a more full manner compared to DF, you can tell they had more freedom with this stuff as a result. The Dream displaying Elune VIA the moon still is very unique. I don't think this means she isn't somewhere in the Dream, but I do think it means she exists in a place beyond the boundaries of Azeroth's Dream, which makes sense.

I agree on that lvl100 capstone as a finnisher for TLT. However, I do think we should see a number squish in between. The numbers are already rediculous as it is imo tho.

I'm only half-serious, spitballing.

But even if it's an old title, it could mean something. They often go back to old characters and develop what was there into something that fits modern lore. Mueh'zala for example.

He was Elune's lover after all (no clue how that works out practically) so he should be considered to be as important as Eonar imo. Maybe they all worked together. Malorne watching over the Way into the Dream, while Eonar spread the dream's influence on Azeroth, and Elune herself watched over her children and future warriors as they evolved around the Well of Eternity.

You know how God made the Virgin Mary pregnant? Think of it like that. Malorne and Elune just conceived of Cenarius VIA a magical means or summ.

Cause otherwise, shit gets awkward and rather against the rules to talk about here.
