Sadly, we really didn't learn much of anything other than the fact that:

a.) WoW devs do actually care (like, a lot)
b.) Dinars are coming back in 11.1 at some point (sooner than when it was datamined on the Renown track)

We knew about the dinar thing from the post where they announced they were removing it from the track. And the devs do absolutely care. You can still care for the game even if you're out of touch with the playerbase. Granted, I don't think they're as out of touch as they were back in BfA/SL, but I don't feel they ever stopped caring.

Scarizard, imo, has been nothing short of great for the WoW team. Say what you may about the content, but ever since he jumped onboard late-SL, the game's reward systems have improved tremendously. Not perfect, but much improved.

I'm probably reading a bit into the words (what's the point of this forum otherwise?), but the initial post seemed to leave the door open for them to not add the Dinar at all if they wanted. His answer seemed to indicate there was a system yet-unknown for us to discover.

One of things I disagree with Scarizard is WHEN to implement such systems. He was looking at doing it in the x.7 patch. I think x.7 patches are too late. Most people are looking forward at the next content at this point. It's why there's very little value to the Turbulent timeways rewards since you'll just be replacing it in a few short weeks anyway. I think items like the ring we got in THIS x.7 that we keep as we move forward into the next season is the play for those patches. Dinars and the like should be x.5 content. 2-3 months is enough to have catch-up systems implemented.

My understanding was that the catch-up isn't for current content. The primary point is to gear various alts so that you are reasonably caught up for that coming next content you're looking towards, not really to supplement the current tier's gearing. So that people coming back a few weeks before a patch can quickly have an alt character quite geared rather than having to awkwardly try and get it into content most people are done with.

Dinars are not catch up though. They are bad luck protection. Catch up covers all or nearly all gear slots. Dinars are just there in case you have not managed to get a specific item. Since DF we have a lot of cantrip items in raids and this raid in particular has a massive number of them.

With new HS expansion I wish they bring Ursoc back at last.
That was too dirty in SL. Let his soul fly to Maw, where Sylvanas find it and bring to Arbiter to be judged again. Maybe with memory loss, maybe fragmented. And his new purpose would be Maldraxxus, where he regenerate. Or - Drusts find him in their sub-realm and trying to corrupt him.

That Ursoc scene was one of the few impactful moments of SL. I'd rather they keep it. Love Ursoc but that was a good moment.

Many choices in Hearthstone have been weird, especially when it comes to Legendary/Class choices

Nope, it was literally the only bad thing about Shadowlands lore.

True. Ursol's appearance also doesn't make me think paladin, made me think mage, too.

No new build this week yet then? I was expecting a tuning build this week before the patch launches next week

They are almost exclusively doing hotfixes the past week.

We're running out of time for the dinar reveal, aren't we?

Only if it's in from the start of 11.1. But that interview from yesterday said that they initially wanted it to come around 11.1.7, and it's probably still something they think should come later for normal seasons. At this point I expect that they're saving it for one of the minor patches, and just decoupling it from the Renown so you don't have to keep grinding it for all that time.

Or, better yet, let the Wild God rest?

If they moved the Dinars on 11.1.5 they'd still be earlier than they were on the Renown track.

Good point. Maybe we'll get Nightfall information very soon.

I'm guessing the patch is going to be crafted all around hitting vibes and aesthetics that are... NOT goblin. So purple hallowfall gear for sure.

I like the Hearthstone wild god designs, but they're distinctly un-Warcraftlike to me, to the point of some of them being completely unrecognisable as the character they're supposed to be (Malorne, Aessina). They really do just let the Hearthstone team do whatever they want, don't they?

I expect Hearthstone to continue to occupy a similar space to the RPG: a source of ideas, designs, and names, but ultimately non-canonical. I do think Amitus will enter the canon in some form, but I think it'll be similar to the tortollans where it'll only be her character design and themes that come across, not her lore.
