By the way, the lorewalker quest for Xal reaffirms that she and N'zoth made a bargain. In the followup book you get, they state that the bargain is mysterious and we don't know what it was.

So, if we're being real- he went into the dagger, and the bargain was that she brought the dagger to him (so that whoever killed him, Azshara or Wrathion, would suck him into it). What the fuck else could it be?
I want new high fantasy creatures in Midnight. Fuck what people in the WoW fanbase think. They quite literally don't even know what they want, and that's been displayed multiple times these last 20 years.

This is the expansion with a full on Light Vs Shadow battle. Give me cool new Light and Shadow stuff.

Y'all aren't ready for the big pay off for Midnight being going to the moon ... or, a moon. And finally meeting Elune.

Really hoping that they learned from their mistakes and won't waste Karesh for 11.2. Give us our "Journey to the center of the Earth" patch with Azerith-dinosaurs damit !
Save Karesh for 12.0. If Midnight ends up just being revamped zones, it would be incredibely underwhelming.

If we ever go to the moon, it better be a Titan construct made from the piece of Azeroth that Y'Shaarj ruled and still have his corpse sealed in it, along with a huge chunk of the Black Empire that evolved in isolation.

Wait...Midnight ending on one of Azeroth's Moons would be sick ngl.

If we ever get a legit rabbit race (not Vermin) it will be tied to the moon, because Warcraft loves its real world folklore. In this case, Japanese.

Though I can see them getting tied to Vermin in some roundabout way because Pandaria is so filled with Life/Spirit.

the Almiraj is also realted to real world arabic folklore and connected to myths about Alexander the great

I'd be happy with moon rabbits too, I mostly want a rabbit beast creature to use as hunter pet

I'd be pretty hyped to see life aligned fae living on the moon and connected to Elune too, maybe that could be a place for rabbits to show up?

Rootlands still makes the most sense for 11.2. For starters, the zone was already datamined, and then there’s also the fact that it wouldn’t make any sense to advertise Orweyna and the Haranir so heavily in the TWW cinematic and constantly tease about their homeland just for it to never show up in the expansion.

I also think that the fact that the real Ky’veza had like 85000M health pretty clearly implies the Ethereals will feature more heavily in Midnight since that HP value is something you’d expect to see in the next expansion, not this one. I don’t see why Blizz would go out of their way to give her an absurdly high HP value when it would’ve just been simpler to give her the same HP as her shadow clone in the boss fight if the HP value wasn’t supposed to be a hint.

Ethereals can still be prominent enemies in 11.2 since we need some humanoid enemies to fight, but we won’t be going to K’aresh yet

The Rootlands seem to be originally intended as a leveling zone, which was then cut or adjusted. I don’t think we’ll be going there, regardless of their feature in the cinematic or the leveling.

Regardless, I don’t think Ky’veza’s health has any indication on the narrative, especially considering they’ve talked about a stat squish for Midnight.

They'd have to be prominent enough for them to be the big raid in 11.2, which we already know for a fact will be an "ethereal raid". Don't get me wrong I still want to go to the Rootlands but with the recent K'aresh reveal as well as the known ethereal raid, I'm no longer expecting the Rootlands to be next (and possibly by extension not even in TWW unless it's added in a mini-patch post 11.2). There's also been complete radio silence on the Rootlands on the datamining front since the first build, and any traces of it were only leading to a demo zone on the developer map that we got the leaked minimaps of.

It is possible it was meant to be a launch map, or maybe a map in a future planned patch or dungeon, but it was scrapped early on. Regardless, I wouldn't hate K'aresh being 11.2, though I think Blizzard not fully committing to the Underground theme of the expac would be cowardly.

Why cowardly? This doesn't mean we'll never again go underground. Someone's stated earlier, places like Harrowsdeep, Azjol-Nerub and Ulduar can all be underground zones within Northrend.

I understand that there's missed opportunities here, but it's clear that any potential pivot away from the Rootlands or another zone underneath Khaz Algar is not due to Blizzard's lack of faith in the underground setting, but rather the fact that this expansion was already in development before the Worldsoul Saga began forming and required some alterations to fit the larger picture.

How do we know it's an Ethereal raid? that datamined item was for the nerubar boss, wasn't it?

There was a tabard as well I believe tho, it also seems very likely seat of the triumvirate is returning for a season 3 dungeon maybe alongside mana tombs as well

I don't know what items the various etherealraid icons were used for (or if they all were), but them naming them like that (and they are official names) pretty much solidified we'd get a raid like that within the 11.x range and the only open slot for that is 11.2.

Yup, the season 3 tabard is Ethereal-themed as well.

Sure, but this expac is literally focused on the underground stuff of Azeroth. Would be weird to me if they just switched themes in the climax.

Maybe we'll get both and Rootlands is just a questing zone similar to what the small extension to Ringing Deeps was for 11.1, but hopefully considerably larger. Pretty high cope, but would be neat.

I'd guess at least one part of Tazavesh too, after the new Brokers reveal. Probably Streets.
