The patches themselves seem to have a lot of meat in them. The subpatches (.5, .7) are disappointing to our standards, which in all honesty are very high. I think they're certainly planning on making Midnight massive, but I don't think they're gutting subpatches for it.

Regarding Undermine, not being a fan of it is one thing, but to say it's lazy and uninspiring is baffling. This patch has an incredible amount of love and care placed in the setting and story. It may not meet some people's ideas of what Undermine should be, but it is certain that Blizzard had goals to bringing it to life and they went all out in it. The music is great, the raid is extremely fun, and the story moves forward in a logical way through the patch, not just a side adventure.

Yeah, like I'll be the first to complain about Undermine, I've never been a fan of the Goblin aesthetic and everything, but even I'll say that Undermine itself is pretty well done, and isn't just scrapped material.

We do not know everything about 11.1.5 yet. But even if it does not bring anything else beyond what is already announced, is miles better than any minor patch pre-DF.

The Siren Isle that you complain about would be unthinkable before DF.

11.0 is top WoW for me in so many fronts.

    11.1 is fantastic.

I agree that the small patches were better in DF, but saying that the expansion has been scrapped is ridiculous.
I mean, good for you if you like it. But I'm not interested in grind for the sake of grinding. I have a life outside of WoW (which I am sure you do as well, not trying to be rude or anything), and when I play the game I want it to be an experience.

For TWW, I was sold on Alleria, Anduin, Khadgar, Dalaran, Thrall, etc. Not balloons, Kul Tiran island expeditions, and mafioso goblins.

I'm happy that 11.1.5 brings us back to Arathi and Nerubians, but I wish the description didn't make it sound so... rehashed?

I think it seems good in terms of the amount of small details they've gotten in there. Little things to discover and so on. But in terms of being some grand, sweeping, high budget adventure... I'm just not seeing it.

Yeah I'll give you that, but I kinda figured it'd not be all that much since it is a side story at most. The Dark Heart being stolen and the Ethereal stuff being the only real meat.

You having no interest in the content and the expansion being scrapped are very different things.

Horrific Visions are clearly rehashed and they are a dissapointment. I do not even understand their inclusion without more to them.

But the Arathi scenario sounds like something close to the Chromie scenario, which is one of the best pieces of content of WoW.

I guess that Dastardly Duos are an experiment for the future revamp of the Brawler's Guild. I will always support Blizzard experimenting with new stuff.

So no. They are not scrapping TWW. In fact, if 11.2 is K'aresh, TWW could be up there with Legion in terms of quality.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.

Horric visions altho expected is just a big no for me. It was horrible back then and this seems to be exactly the same, but tuned for tww. Boring.

The Scenario.. seems boring as well.

    Not excited at all.

Not really, but since it doesn't really feel like we've gotten any significant piece of Worldsoul Saga content at all since launch, and with "Nightfall" being name-dropped well in advance, I figured this patch would at least move things forward a bit.

I'm not even seeing any of the normal updates that we got from small patches in Dragonflight. New class race combos, heritage armour sets, and even a new spec. Where the heck is all that stuff in TWW?

  9. #86789
I would of preferred if they just focused on updating Brawler's Guild and adding some new content for it in Undermine would of been perfect timing. That maybe give us a new HV on top of the two old ones.

Overall though, the content coming seems fine. My only real criticism is that the Nightfall scenario seems like it would of been better suited for 0.5 or 0.7. But maybe the story will make sense

the worldsoul saga is a story told in 3 expansions. we're just halfway the first chapter.

-new class race combos: screpped after people had a meltie
-heritage armour sets: there is only the pandaren one left
-even a new spec: they didn't add any new class

personally i'd rather get new gameplay things like the dastardly duo mode than more armor sets or character customization

At best we might get a flash back to before it was destroyed. but i doubt we visit it in any meaningful way in its current state
For the same reason Argus was three mini-zones, the Broken Isles were a continent and so forth. K'aresh is the marquee Ethereal location since they were introduced, it's the place the Big Bad Xally works for destroyed and the ethereals' most prominent appearance before then zone-wise is maintaining eco-domes in a destroyed purple floating area. If K'aresh isn't a zone it'll be a raid.

In all likelihood, a raid set on K'aresh wouldn't be about fighting Ethereals so much as fighting the general forces of the Void, but also this idea of exclusivity has no precedent. DF had us fighting Incarnates and their Primalist minions in two tiers. SL had us fighting Mawsworn in two tiers. We fought Legion forces in Hellfire and then fought them again in half of Nighthold, Tomb and Antorus in the following expansion. We fought Orcs in MoP and then for most of an expansion in WoD.

Also, the Ethereal and Goblin icons aren't exactly a 1:1 situation, since one of those etherealraid icons was literally the raid trinket from the ethereal boss in Nerub'ar, and two item icons is still a hell of a lot less than all the files/textures/objects/etc tagged Rootlands.
Notwithstanding SL's fine reception and how much people bitched about orc fatigue to the point of spacing a big part of the leveling story in WoD, and in turn how hostile the successive black and green wastelands were in Legion, I really doubt Blizzard are in a hurry to repeat themselves. I wouldn't discount it - K'aresh as a whole as an ending to War Within so we can end an expansion about the Journey to the Center of the Earth by going into space and preview an expansion about fighting purple ghosts by fighting different purple ghosts would be off-base enough, but I would doubt it.

That said, ethereals - eco-domes, hopefully reused Broker assets and so forth would be enough to manage a raid. When baddies were repeated earlier as factions both Fyrakk's Firelands focused guys and the chiefly First One-based Sepulcher allowed for a visual shift away from the previous theme even though they were part of the same enemy group. Ethereals, especially with a pseudo-Egyptian look and a more sci-fi feel would differ from bugs/tentacle monsters.

K'aresh has jack to do with the premise. Yes, it's a hyped location, but so were Nazjatar/Ny'alotha, but putting the place destroyed by Dimensius, the implied void big bad of the saga, in the tail end of a completely unrelated expansion doesn't lend itself to coherence. TWW is fine gameplay-wise, but putting it on par with Legion is a laugh.

    No.

TWW came ut August 26th, 2024.

M likely comes out in February. Let's say February 26h for simplicity's sake.

    That's 18 months.

    18 * 0.5 is what? 9.

9 is how long after August 26th, 2024?

    May 26th, 2024. A.K.A. the halfway point.

It's three expansions, based on the same two major patch cycle. There's no way one major patch into expansion one of these you're more than halfway through unless the one doing the math took his classes at a special school.

I'm talking about TWW, the expansion we bought. Not future expansions we haven't bought yet.

11.1.5 is the halfway point of tww

Anyway, the Darkfuse have been officially confirmed to have formerly been known as the Blackfuse, aka the company that aided Garrosh and the Iron Horde in WoD.

Cool bit of detailing. I expect the Darkfuse to take over the former Venture Co. role of random baddies in need of punching from zone to zone. An interesting point to note-- the Darkfuse in the Undermine zone are all goblin or hobgoblin, yet within the Liberation of Undermine raid, they feature multiple races including humans, Kul Tirans and orcs. I wonder why there's a difference there.

Not shocked. The name is similar and the looks of the Blackfuse technology is similar.

    Also, they use conveyor belts.

Wait, does this mean Goblins could realistically make bullet trains like the Grimrail?
