I mean, think of it like this, with something as big as our first glimpse into Light and Shadow's conflict (Which seems to be much more prevalent than Life and Death's conflict, or Order and Disorder's conflict, likely due to their absolute yin/yang nature), I think Blizzard hiding it for next year's Blizzcon would be the best way to go about things.

I mean, think about it: K'aresh, Light and Shadow's climactic battle for Azeroth AKA Renilash, our first glimpse into the Light's forces outside of the Naaru and the small glimmer we got with the Army of the Light, us potentially seeing Dimensius' true form for the first time, us MAYBE entering the Void in true for the first time (Or at least a place where the realms of Light and Shadow clash), etc...

Would be an amazing Blizzcon reveal!
Hmm. Maybe! That's a possible scenario.

Dragonflight had 3 seasons. Collectively, they started on week 3 of Dragonflight and ended on week 74, lasting ~72 weeks in total.

BlizzCon happened on week 49 of the expansion's lifespan. That's where TWW was announced. The following week, 10.2 came out, and the week after that, S3 released.

If you look at where week 49 of TWW lands, that is right between July and August this year, literally right around the same time 11.2 is rumoured to be released, and with Gamescom following just 2 weeks later.

    With me so far?

Okay, let's speculate ahead, beyond that and into Midnight. Assuming TWW's seasons last 72 weeks in total, just like they did for Dragonflight, that will mean S3 ends around January 20th, 2026. For Dragonflight, 17 weeks passed between S3 ending and TWW releasing.

That puts us on Tuesday, the 19th of May 2026. In addition to this, the time between TWW's announcement and release was 297 days. If you add 297 days from August 20 of 2025, when Midnight is likely to be announce, you end up on June 13th, 2026.

However, there are a few notable differences this time around. We need to consider three things:

    1. Blizzard said, back when the Worldsoul Saga was announced, that they were looking into ways of delivering expansions to us faster than we're used to.

    2. According to the WoW 2025 roadmap, Housing arrives a couple of weeks after winter officially begins, which is December 21st. I doubt they would launch Housing and then not follow up with Midnight proper over the next couple of months. The hype would eventually just die out if they took too long.

    3. Legion Remix begins around the middle of autumn, so around the week of November 4th. MoP remix lasted 3 months, ending about a week before TWW launched. 3 months from November 4th is February 4th, 2026. A couple of weeks on top of that, and we're on the week of February 17th, 2026.

This makes me believe they will shave about 3 months off the expansions as they come to a close, perhaps by simply removing the downtime between S3 and pre-patch, or drastically shortening it anyway.

Okay, let's humour the idea that Midnight does come out on February 17th, 2026. What does that mean for future announcements?

Well, if Midnight follows the same patch cadence as TWW and DF, then 12.2 should be announced around late November, 2026, and TLT should be unveiled in early February of 2027.

The only thing that makes me doubt this scenario a bit is the fact that they will have had a BlizzCon just a few months before. Like, 2 months before this 12.2 announcement scenario, and about 5 months before the speculated TLT announcement. Wouldn't that be a bit silly? To host your first BlizzCon in 3 years, only to wait another few months with your biggest announcements?

This kind of makes me believe that we'll get both 12.2 and TLT announced at BlizzCon. Didn't they do that at one point before, like when Cataclysm or MoP was announced?

All they'd really need to do is go "Heroes of the Horde and Alliance, as the dust settles around Quel'thalas, soon, you are about to take the fight directly to the Void, as you assault K'aresh and banish the Shadow forever! But as you are about to find out in patch 12.2, things do not always go according to plan... which brings us to *drumroll* THE LAST TITAN!"

If we put "8 week rule" as rough estimation, next Blizzcon should be between 12.1 and 12.1.5. I don't think they ever revealed next expansion before current last big patch was known (if anyone disagree, show me example), more often last raid was on PTR. But on other hand TLT is already revealed and they can talk about Northrend and major feature updates. And Blizzcon is just few months from "proper" time to show TLT, ignoring it would be major letdown.

So we are dealing with something never happened before. Imo we will get both 12.2 and TLT reveal.

I wonder how they will handle MD reveal btw. It's Gamescom time, D4 second expansion should be unveiled at similar time, great opportunity for some bigger live event in Germany and fill void for this year.

So they'll probably announce stuff relating to the final expansion in the trilogy at next year's Blizzcon? With any luck they'll have some other stuff to announce relating to their other existing games and potentially something completely new as well.

They could just hop the content reveal queue with the premise of 12.2 before doing the expansion reveal. That's essentially what they did with Argus & Ny'alotha. We already have a good idea about 11.2 now that the 11.1 content has been released & cinematics shown.

So in the Undermine finale, Orweyna is barely involved besides a blink and you miss it goodbye to Gazlowe and saying she's "going home". So they really are not pushing her very hard there, especially not compared to Azir and K'aresh.

Also, can confirm the Tazavesh shout, though it's from a bad goblin in the final sidequest. Which is a very nice sidequest, and seems to imply they may be reopening the Gallagio for outdoor world content at some time. Would be nice if they turned it into a functional "Casino" or just an arcade with no real money attachments.

The way it's structured in the raid doesn't make much sense for an actual casino so it would be nice if they made a new version as a patch-agnostic gamemode. It would at least you explain why you don't ACTUALLY go inside the Gallagio during the sidequest (which they even joke about as Noggenfogger says it's stupid the party is being held out on the patio).

    Partition walls? Goddamn.

OK this seems very solid so far. Ofc it will depend on the variety of decor and some of the best houses will depend on your creativity in repurposing decor by scaling/placing it in just the right way.

The fact that the interiors are not connected to the exteriors is a huge win IMO. I would much prefer a smaller exterior with a giant room inside Animal Crossing style.

This is so shockingly good that it makes me think Blizzard hit their head or something, there's no way they managed to beat all odds against them. I thought there would be some dumb fuck stupid dumbass decision they would stick by but nope they basically went and said "Nope, everything's possible.".
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

If there's a catch I'm sure it's going to be "the big houses are too expensive/cash shop only" or something similar. But mechanically there seems to be no issues.

I mean, they're selling Furniture bundles which could become a super cursed situation but that's about it as the only catch.

It's up to us to fight against this by not buying it.

"If you want a huge mansion outside with just one room inside or a tiny shack on the outside but a dozen rooms inside, you do you."

    ...say that again?

Did they just say "huge mansion"????

This is a bafflingly good implementation. How will they fuck it up?
