I would say that IMO the Harranir and the Worldcore make sense for TLT, though, and then we might find some of Azeroth's baby body parts.

Since we are sooner or later going to K'aresh, most likely to its core, it would be cool to see parts of what would have been K'aresh body, but twisted and corrupted by the Void.
To be clear, I'm not necessarily saying we're going to find a big stony lady down in Khaz Algar anytime soon.

I'm super aware that plans might have changed a lot with Metzen coming back. An idea somebody had for 11.0 might not be seen until 13.2.

All I'm saying is that it's very random to have this "Titan" lady in there unless somebody asked them to include something along those lines. Almost to the point where I'd argue it is statistically impossible.

It's just too close to the idea of Azeroth. Now, this might have been in an era before they definitely turned away from the old idea that Azeroth would be a Titan one day. So we might not get more than the yellow worldsoul blob we've seen in TWW cinematics.

But it does show that every single one of these West Studio images should at least be considered as a possible future outcome.

Even if this were used, who's to say this isn't just going to be used for a wall protecting the Worldcore or something along those lines? Afterall, the Renilash prophecy did talk about a wall made of living rocks from Titans.

Once again, y'all are overhyping Metzen's influence on the current lore. He alone cannot really retcon what's been established in Shadowlands or whatnot.

Also, I think Blizzard very much doesn't want to pull another "Me'dan" or "Eredar tier lore fuck up" on us.

We literally went to the core of Argus and only saw a Worldsoul. Why would it be any different for Azeroth outside of "Oh yeah, Sargeras was messing with Argus while the Titans were messing with Azeroth"?

Wait a minute.. Its just Argus but K'aresh. Oh god.
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

Not really. Depends on if K'aresh's Worldsoul is still alive or not. It's entirely possible Dimensius consumed most of it, likely as a means of providing itself a proper foothold within the Beyond.

I hope not. But a considerable amount this forum seem to just want Midnight to be Legion with purple paint. So checks out

I mean, what do you want Midnight to be outside of "akin to Legion but with the Void"? Cause I don't want to be on Azeroth the entire expac. Seems like a waste for the Void Vs Light expac.

    - - - Updated - - -

Every major cosmic power expac's taken place off world in some way.

Legion had us invade the Legion's Capital

Shadowlands had us visit the afterlife and face the Devil

And Midnight is gonna have us stand with the Light and banish the Shadow forever. I think us going to K'aresh and/or a Light and Void cosmic battleground would be a peak climax for the expac.

To put it bluntly, yes. I find that very formulaic and boring.

Especially when you combine that the expansion already involves us defending an ancient elvish city and its magic well against an invading force. If K'aresh just ends up being Argus 2.0 then the only chance the story isn't a total copy/paste is 12.1 doing something wildly different

Midnight will be a memberberry expansion, the only way 12.1 won't be a Scourge raid is if it's a troll raid.
Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.

Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.

What would you like 12.1 to be about?

12.1 being a Scourge raid? Are you serious?

I can see the Naga showing up again in that patch, but the Scourge? I doubt that.

Scourge completely surrounds the south of Quelthalas, Stratholme is still burning cus magic, and the dreadlord king is skulking about. Also the scourge are integral to the story of both Quelthalas and Northrend, while Naga are not.

Naga make sense if you LOOSELY translate "reunify the elf clans" to include them, but that statement could just mean all the Thalassians that owe claim to the land.

The Scourge are a throughline in both Quel'thalas and Northrend, the Lich King is the most popular villain of all time, who's last appearance was a pisstake. Scourge content is inevitable and it'd break up having three straight void raids. Possibly more if 11.2 is K'aresh.

Azshara will definitely show up, but she's not side content material. Also she was already a raid boss.

I include the Naga cause of Azshara.

Also, ehhh? The Scourge is basically dealt with atm, Quel'thalas is being rebuilt, and there's nothing to really major going on with them to warrant a raid. A dungeon maybe, but not a raid.

Also, who said 12.1 would be side content?

If Midnight launch raid isn't Amani themed (helping them this time) I will eat my hat. Amani, Scourge, Void would make a good trio of raids.

I'm tired of the Scourge. There's a reason why Legion, Shadowlands, and BFA did what they did.

Also, no housing news this week either it seems. Just a reminder of the Boston Tickets Second Wave article. Slightly upset cause I saw the TikTok they posted yesterday, and assumed they planned something unique for today, but ig not. It's fine.

I expect naga to be involved because they supposedly occupy the waters around Silvermoon. Given how big the Azsharan empire was at the time of the sundering, as illustrated by chronicles, Suramar was the most densely populated part of the elven empire. If they don't show up they need to come up with an actual explanation as to what the Naga are doing. All things considered the Naga empire we saw in BFA was anachronistically small and weak.

While they TRIED to wrap up that Death/Arthas/Lich King plot they really, really did not use the actual scourge outside of a few quests and offscreen lore. They barely even used the Death Knights. So there is a lot of room to appropriately deal with them.

Sure, but there's really not much to tell outside of "The mightiest of the Scourge battle for supremacy" and "The Ebon Blade + The Argent Crusade are dealing with them as best they can". I mean, to make it to where we get a Scourge plot in the midst of a Void invasion? That seems a bit much ngl. At least with Gallywix, that had connections to the Black Blood and the events of TWW.

    - - - Updated - - -

Unless you'd want to make Void-infused Scourge entities ofc. That'd be pretty sick.

Yeah, Darkhan is linked to both scourge and void and we just got light undead. I think void undead will be used as a concept to link them into the general theme.

The Nathrezim also have ties to both void and death, as well as Stratholme and the Scarlets.

If Blizz wants to go all in on the medieval fantasy vibes of Quel'thalas, they can button it with Lordaeron to enhance that theme. Amani will be there too.

There is that reasoning. But there is also the fact that having Scourge in TLT would probably feel redundant, and there is a wealth of iconic Scourge locations in Northern EK that could be used for a raid. Not just Stratholme, but Scholomance as well.

You could just make it about setting up new necromancers who have set up shop in Straholme or something. Some vague threat like Decatriarch Wratheye that leaves at the end and is avaialble to be used for whatever future content when you need something scourge themed.
The world revamp dream will never die!

...I completely forgot about Scholomance. This would make a LOT of sense considering they randomly introduced a simulacrum version of Kel'Thuzad so shortly after wasting him.
