Reminder:

In the context of those guesses, would player housing come out with 11.2.7? They did announce it would be coming in 2025, after all.

Seeing we've seen some player housing stuff (tech and textures) appear on the 11.x branch, I personally think this -could- be in the cards similar to how we got the allied races shared skeleton tech during 7.x and allied races themselves during 7.3.5 even though they were a 8.x pre-order feature.

I can't help but feel given how they've been developing it that testing for player housing is going to be starting sooner rather than later vs. testing of the actual Midnight expansion itself, or they test it in Alpha/Beta and then release it on the 11.x branch for those that pre-ordered with it becoming an evergreen/freely available feature after launch.

I think player housing could get its own 11.2.9. They probably will want it before 12.0 but if they have features for 11.2.7 already or if they don't want to rush something a month earlier, they could just do an extra patch.

At that point they could just ship it with 12.0, I feel like. Not sure there's going to be any groundbreaking features that can break the game in Midnight as far as I can tell right now, so pre-patch could just largely be player housing.

On roadmap housing is set for winter, and no winter date in 2025 make sense, imo roadmap simply extend to 2026 (it is even more clear from classic roadmap). Pre-patch just makes most sense, especially since we will be busy with Legion Remix in 11.2.7.

And of course I would expect housing to be tested from early alpha builds which should be.. September I guess? Recently Alpha/Beta last about 3-4 months.

Slow Beta waves? I think you forget about Beta for pre-order, TWW had so many people it was unplayable for days, and TWW didn't have anything close to housing as main feature.

I doubt that we would get 11.2 news this week, but I don't think that we should wait until June 25th. Hopefully we discover something in the events that are coming soon.

I think it's gonna be in 11.2.7 or whatever patch brings remix because it makes 0 sense to release a collection event for a fan favorite expansion and not include any housing related things in it imo and adding some stuff to the 11.X branch makes that seem even more likely to me, even if it's simply the tech for unlocking housing items rather than the full system being available, which would also allow players to collect their housing stuff from legion remix and then copy their account data to beta/house ptr/ whatever public test they do for housing while still collecting the stuff in their "real" account

IIRC we knew for a while that most of these were going to be on the Trading Post, with the green versions being "unknown, but probably store" at the time.

Considering those variants were confirmed to be one of those "It'll show up in the Trading Post eventually" deals, it's really more of a "people who like green spent money to have it earlier and won't have to spend ~1000 tenders on them when they do show up" kind of thing I guess.

I was in TWW Alpha so actually no, I don't remember how beta waves got handled haha. I still think housing should be testable by EVERYONE, and desynched from the regular Alpha/Beta.

If I were to take a guess, it would be that there will be an announcement for a livestream in a few weeks.
