Shadows from K'aresh would work either

Maybe an easy way to guess the final patch would be to guess the final raid boss. Maria Hamilton confirmed that Xal will be in the other expansions so hopefully not her for the final boss, as we know she won't die.

Who else is there besides Aszshara that has actually been built up?

    Last 3 Expansion End Bosses:

BFA - N'Zoth. Built up for awhile (even thought poor execution)

Shadowlands - Jailor. Built up over the whole pac

Dragonflight - Fyrakk. The baby brother of the 2 big baddies. I can forgive this since they wanted a palette cleanser expansion.

But this one needs to end with a bang.

Ever??? Shadowlands is the first expansion to include a new zone with each major patch. Legion didn't add one in the first major patch (granted, Suramar filled that gap), and before that we only got Quel'danas, Timeless Isle, Isle of Thunder, and Tanaan Jungle. A new zone used to be a nice surprise that we hadn't expected.

Same with raids. We expect a new, ~8-boss raid with each major patch, but that's a really new thing in the grand scheme of things. I hope the breaking of the mould to include two regular dungeons instead of a megadungeon is indicative of willingness to do it in other ways, because the current raid format is really lame. Bring back 1-3 boss raids!!!

I don't see why it wouldn't at this point. It clearly had a worldsoul of its own. We know from Argus that all worldsoul planets have Azerite equivalents.

But K'aresh was clearly destrroyed. So what happens to its HoA after that?

It can definitely still be Xal'atath. We can fight her elf form now and then finish her off in her true form later on. In fact, I suspect killing her is actually part of the "awakening" and will ultimately work in her favour... until it doesn't.

Yeah Elf Xal is the only one that works as a final boss in TWW so far. She deserves to have a fight in the ruins of Dalaran AND K'aresh, especially if she was part of its destruction.

Why would any of that mean it has a Heart of Azeroth? That's a titanic creation specifically tied to a titan-installed machine. I'm not sure I like the idea of K'aresh having titan influence.

We know nothing of K'aresh. The titans clearly scoured the cosmos looking for worldsouls to convert. Its not at alll out of line to think they would find K'aresh.

All we know is that is was destroyed. Its inhabitants forever changed. Everything else about K'aresh is free for Blizzard to create.

Honestly, I think it's worth remembering this. We know a few factions (of both K'areshi races) but that's about it.

They spun Kul Tiras, the "green boat humans" into a diverse culture. Why not K'aresh, where they have an even blanker canvas?

I haven't read the first Chronicle in a few years, but I'm pretty sure a point is made of the fact that Azeroth's was the first worldsoul they found since the last titan was awoken.

I wouldn't mind a storyline where there's a worldsoul waiting for a button to be pushed to birth a new titan because the titans were killed before they could finish incubating it, but I don't like that for K'aresh. I think it would be more interesting to see an otherwise untouched worldsoul corrupted/devoured by a Void Lord.

Besides, the Dark Heart was created by Deathwing and is directly compared to the Dragon Soul of all things. I'm sure it's connected to the Heart of Azeroth in some way, but several things would need to be retconned for it to be an artifact from K'aresh.

That's exactly why I don't want it to be turned into another titan-touched world. It's bad enough that Draenor was changed into being one.

    That's just a Druid though.

I believe the idea here is specifically the Son/Daughter of Cenarius aesthetic.

I came back after some time hoping that Chris Metzen wheel would start spinning and generating cool characters. But it got even worse, Danath who is a damn Trollbane! became like old Dumbledore who takes out the candy of peace.

This is some kind of nightmare for a Warcraft fan. I felt like Anduin who constantly cries, and I really cried.

I tried to find at least one character who does not generate cotton candy when talking. All that remains for me is to hide behind Genn Greymane and look at the charismatic expanses of Gilneas, stuck in cataclysm stasis.
Was Chris Metzen just a marketing ploy and does he really work for Blizzard? If so I don't feel the masculine energy he used to give with his character.

He explained that already. He gives some general directions, not writting whole thing again. So "writters" as Madeline Rouge or whatever her name is - write their stories and characters.
So Metzen writes something like "Faerin comes to Arathi Highlands, there is racist shitstorm coming from Danath niece. Orcs just try to survive, but humans just can't live with orcs nearby".

After that comes in play some "writter" with like 2005 birth year who knew Faerin is cool bc she is black and female, Danath is just some old dude and don't care about him at all. So here we are, Christmas comics as proof.
They ofc think that their "writting" comes far better then Shakespear bc they eat gluten-free porridge and drink raf-coffee or something like that.

Been really sarcastic there ofc, but quality of WoW writting team really go worse and worse with each expansion. We had Forsaken who "protects the living at all cost" already, we have Danath and Eitrigg as besties, Turalyon spend holidays with Horde is norm now.

No, we know nothing about the Dark Heart, except that it was in Neltharion's laboratory. We don't even know for sure that he created it, let alone that goblins were involved in any way.

Don't pass off your speculations as truth.

Goblins were involved because that's the reason Xal went to Gally in the first place lol.

What if Azshara and the Undersea is the 11.2?

The song of the deeps looks like a spoiler of the future

Rise, rise! Our Queen calls to us from beyond the Umbral Veil. She has transcended the Circle of Stars and basks in her eternal grandeur!

The time we have long awaited is nigh.

Even now, the Harbinger gathers the children of the first flesh to reclaim what was lost. They must remember their vows and serve those to whom they owe fealty.

While they toil in the deep places, we will journey to the shores of dragon lands, to the blessed isle where the Worldbreaker first embraced the whispers.

As one storm recedes, another rises. The torches have been lit. The secrets he buried will strike as a dagger into the hearts of his kin!

The Harbinger speaks of a primal power that seeks the end of Order. Such rage can be bent to serve our ends.

A hunger lost to the ages will be reclaimed.

A dark heart left broken awaits the taking.

When these things come to pass, the Harbinger will fulfill the final prophecy and complete the awakening.

Only then shall our Queen return to reign over sea and sky and earth. We must make ready.

Rise, rise! Soon all that was hidden will be revealed.
