well, since dimensius is now presented as a TWW boss, instead of the Midnight boss most people harped about, it makes sense to look at the other void related names that are foreshadowed, which leaves us with Azhara.

though, i wonder... there is a powerful person that helps us with the artifact cape. Many assume Medievh, but what if it is Azhara?

I think it kinda makes sense. The next Burning Legion invasion is probably several expansions away, still.

Void in Midnight, Order (and perhaps Light?) in TLT, and then I'm sure we're off for some down-to-earth expansion on the other side of Azeroth, akin to MoP or Dragonflight. Exploration kind of thing. So it'll probably have to wait until at least 15.0 or so, which is like in the early 2030s, lol.

Void-infused Demon Hunters make sense because the core theme isn't really "fel," if you think about it. It's using the power of your enemy as a weapon against them. Sacrificing everything to protect Azeroth. If the next threat is the Void, I'm sure a lot of them would go down that route. Especially with Illidan MIA, new leaders likely emerge.

Plus, the Void just seems like a good fit for them, aesthetically. Fast, agile, and edgy. Fel always seemed a bit more brutish and clumsy, tbh.

You make a good point. It's true that, after all, there are Void-affiliated demons like the Void Walkers. Perhaps these new demon hunters specialize in the Void as you say, using the power of the enemy to defeat them.

But I'm still not convinced, I personally think it would have been better to save that fantasy for a whole new class... We'll see.

I'm very curious at this point what form Silvermoon will take.

I can see the expansion starting with a corrupted Sunwell, but also being a final bastion of light from the void.

Presumably, Dimensius will be absorbed into the Dark Heart, I imagine the powerful ally assisting us could be Xal'atath. Either way, she will probably leave the expansion Dark heart in hand, either with Dimensius inside, or his essence.

I imagine this way we could have the first tier of Midnight in a Silvermoon we recognise, first raid tier probably being a Xal'atath set up of Amani trolls and the resurrection of the K'thraxxxi underneath Zul'aman attacking Silvermoon. Distracting us enough for her to assault the ilse of Quel'Danas for 12.1 /12.2 In which she succeeds in corrupting the sunwell.

We do have to loose a little to justify summoning back the titans in 13.0.

Despite this, we will have an epilogue patch. Xal can take us to the world core for that, it could purely be a vista and quest line to show corruption of the world soul for Midnight.

Glad to see to little souls like messages and ghosts I suggested a couple of months ago.

Like the look of K'aresh so far. Can't wait to see more.

Nope. As I said before, the Ethereal Raid icons made it a given that we'd be seeing it in the form of a raid in 11.2 as soon as 11.1 was announced. But patch zone wise, no pointers.

While much of the last season of an expansion is mailable, we don't know for certain if the Saga aspect was Metzen's idea. Rootlands likely is & possibly always was intended for a later patch.

Even for Danuser, making two Tree themed final patches in a row would have been a bizarre decision.
For Azeroth, yeah. The Titans care about Azeroth, they didn't give a shit about Karesh. Otherwise they might have done something about it in the preceding millennia.

It has been verbally confirmed by Holly Longdale that Metzen suggested the saga. This is not debatable and I don't get how people still dispute this.

I'm not against the idea, but a Void specialization? For DH? I don't know, for me it's two completely different themes. Why not, it remains to be seen.

I hated the idea at first.

But then I realised Gul'Dan used Shadowfel magic in WoD, then I became okay with it. It's not like they're creating a brand new school of magic out of thin air to make a new spec.

Rootlands definitely wasn't intended for a later patch.

Internally, there is a zone missing between Hallowfall (3) and Azj-kahet (5), and the Alpha map labelled Rootlands as Zone4.

Yeah, I think what happened is that it was either scrapped or pushed back to a future patch when the team (likely via Metzen's push) saga-fied TWW. There is basically none of the zone that was made at the time of the dev map leak that we learned the name from while all the other zones were already clearly present.

There were some early assets made, some of which got finished and then used for the Haranir outpost, but other stuff got replaced with DELETEME models (with some leftovers I have yet to analyze, maybe one day, might be a salvagable Haranir building in there).

Blizzard still referencing it as well as adding the airlock entrance that teleports you away is the only thing that makes me think that we'll still see it at one point, just not at the point it was initially meant to be when they started planning out the underground map.
